You listed my country and yup it’s a HUGE problem. It says a lot that grown men want to travel out of the country to partake in that because THEY KNOW they wouldn’t be able to get away with it there. Pretty sad but it’s considered pedo’s playground or pedo’s island 😭 especially in Sosua. I was in one of the beaches of Cabarete and this fat old ass man was groping a scared teen’s privates in as if nobody could see what he was doing. A lot of sex offenders in Europe actually travel there and abuse…

I have seen adult teens (18,19) get with old ass men but it was ALWAYS about money, especially in my country in the Caribbean. Child sex tourism is actually a huge issue in my country. Old men hooking up with (rape) child prostitutes while on vacation or “trying to woo” very young adults.

You’re right and the thing is there’s a lot of diversity when it comes to that. Not all single moms were abandoned or left by the father. Some single moms are widows. Some divorced their husbands because the husbands were either abusive, unsupportive during postpartum, and/or don’t help outside of bills. Either way, like you said, it’s not the mother’s fault in these cases. Some things that gets thrown around are “wElL wHo ToLd YoU tO bE wItH tHaT mAn”. “Well shit Charles, she was fucking marrie…

Did you know the world is theirs and everything in it they can do as they please with little repercussion?! THEY ARE KINGS. They are the PRIZE. How dare you?! /s. A lot of men don’t have shame and it’s because of entitlement. Also, what’s the likelihood that they’ll actually be charged if they were to rape or abuse a woman in their lifetime? Men don’t face a lot of repercussions for what they do against women. That’s slowly changing but we have a LONG way to go.

It’s a private group for moms :). A nightmare lol, that’s what it is.

Because single moms are constantly shamed for not providing a two parent household for their children if the father is absent or barely involved. That gets internalized and a lot of them feel as if they’ve failed their children. The desperation kicks in and that’s why you see some single moms practically put up with a lot. The single moms who take zero shit figured it out and stopped caring what people/society thought. It will always be damned if you do, damned if you don’t.

It’s really easy to notice looking from an outside perspective. She went to the group because her gut was telling her something was off and she wasn’t happy. Men don’t just outright treat women like garbage and it always starts off small. “Hey can I spend the night” somehow transitions to “Hey your place is closer to my job; can I stay over during the week to save time on commute?” to “My lease is almost up. I want to move in.” That’s how abuse starts out as well. I think she kinda knows since s…

I mean if you’re totally down to explore the possibility then yes in my opinion you treat and vet him like any other guy you’re dating like what you listed. I would also look at how much of a good friend and person he’s been to you. I don’t know how close you both are but has he treated you well? You have to consider that what you may love about him as a friend could be something you dislike in a relationship. Does he have any vices (porn, drugs, gambling, etc.). What’s his relationship history …

For me falling in love especially in 8 minutes (it actually states 8.5 seconds for men) or 14 days = infatuation, NOT love. Love is a constant choice and you don’t automatically truly love someone just by looking at them IMO but some may feel differently about that. So if a guy took more than 8 seconds, I really don’t think that’s settling lol. Some friends may have been attracted from the beginning, some don’t. Like I’ve been friends with a guy for a few years now and we are definitely not the …

See they say they want this and when a pickme does this… they feel emasculated because after a while they perceive these pickmes as the “men” in the relationship. Isn’t that what they hate: Women with “masculine energy”? They want to ask women what they bring to the table other than sex… but this is fine right? LOL. Bruh… they’re praising her now for this but wait till he makes her a single mom and then all these men will say “well who told you to date a bum?! Choose better. Now you set your chi…

I went through this after having my child. A c-section was performed without my consent and explanation. RIGHT AFTER I woke up from general anesthesia, they made me sign the consent form. I developed severe diastasis recti. Told them I was having a lot of back pain and abdominal discomfort three months postpartum to the point I couldn’t carry my son. They never bothered to physically check for it or measure it. They never wanted to refer me to a physical therapist and told me “to go do some plan…

It’s understandable to be uncomfortable by the situation. What’s alarming is how he switched it up and turned it against you. A loving partner would understand and reassure you… not belittle you for addressing a concern. If this is how he handles something like that now…. What would it be like two-ten years from now? Also, if that’s his stance then you have to decide if you’re ok with it. It’s fine if you’re not but then that means that it’s best to end it. Edit: I would end it if it were me.

I think this is fake or this guy is…. I don’t know. So he “had sex with her” knowing she didn’t want to and decided to hug her and take her to the lake during the weekend. “Ah yes…. You probably didn’t want to have sex with me and instead of leaving, I took advantage and now I feel bad so here’s some hugs”… if he REALLY cared, he would’ve gotten her out of the situation. Not fuck her and wish you could’ve stayed longer.

A lot of men are weird but it all boils down to them having the desire to dominate in order to create dependency. I’ve noticed that a lot of them say they like feeling needed and being adequate. A woman’s success and independence is perceived as dangerous because it “emasculates” them or makes them feel inferior. The more independent the less they’re needed. On another note: lots of men hate “gold diggers” yet detest a career women. Makes no sense to me.

You bring up an excellent point. I’d also like to add how astonishing it is that a lot of men don’t have a sense of safety either — and it’s privilege. This man was willing to drive 30-45 minutes to an area to see a woman he barely knows… and on top of that to her house. Almost no woman would ever do this because we have to constantly be cautious of our surroundings. It’s very telling. What do you think?

I don’t believe there are true male feminists. Men support women’s rights when it is convenient for them. Sex work benefits men so that they can continue to stimulate and engage in their depravities. All porn is made specifically for the male gaze. Only reason some women become sex workers is because it’s easy money…. not because they truly enjoy it and find it fulfilling. “I can’t wait to clock in and start being fucked by multiple men, being spat and pissed on for viewers at home!” Same thing …

Sadly it can happen because it’s romanticized to an extent to young girls. Like it’s “so cool” to date older guys. I remember one classmate, we were in 7th grade (12-13 year olds), specifically had a 22 year old boyfriend and he would pick her up from school. Some of our other classmates thought it was cool because she was dating someone with a car. It still happens.

I don’t know if this has any value but if it were me, I wouldn’t tell him anything. It was her experience and she said it in confidence. If she trusts her dad, she can explain the situation herself. I would proceed with talking to the parents and see if authorities can get involved. Also custody and CS are two separate issues… so going for 50-50 may not lower his CS payments. I have no issue with it until it’s clear that it disrupts daily life. I personally play video games almost daily but not to the point where I neglect my responsibilities and other hobbies/interests. I play maybe 1-2 hours a day… some days I play maybe 4 hours but then don’t touch it for a few days since I’d rather focus on other things until I feel like I want to get back into it. Wait wuuuut? Like she was putting down FDS by comparing it to MRA? If so, that’s unacceptable behavior and that level of countertransference isn’t productive. Wtf was she trying to gain from that? By judging you? Sounds like she can’t put her feelings and biases to the side which is a big no. A therapist’s personal beliefs do NOT matter during a session. Imposing personal values and ideas on clients is unethical.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy19/04/21 01:01 AM
12

Why is she speaking on behalf of someone she doesn’t know at all? Her focus shouldn’t be on him, but on you as her client. She was definitely projecting. Therapists aren’t perfect but it’s their responsibility to monitor their reactions and understand their own trigger points. If she cannot handle it, then the most ethical thing she can do is refer you to someone else and work on herself until she can work with clients with relationship issues.

What doesn’t get talked about is emotional dumping by men especially towards women they have some form of relationship with (romantic, familial, platonic, etc). I’m perfectly aware that many would run for the hills.. I didn’t say otherwise but it doesn’t negate the fact that there are LVMs who do go through lengths of getting anything even if it’s not sex. That’s why I’ve become a huge believer in vetting even while in a relationship/marriage.

LOL I can relate to this. It’s codependency. But within FDS I learned that it’s still pick-me behavior. You may already be in a relationship with the person but you’re actively doing what you can to get the person to continue picking you/stay in the relationship. Even if you’ve become completely unhappy and your instincts are telling you to run! It took a specific situation to get me to realize this and I finally left the relationship. I think all therapists who specialize in couple’s/marriage and family counseling should be required to specialize or have training in DV/IPV. And yes I agree that vetting a therapist is a must! Not all therapists specialize in the same things and everyone has a right to find the best care that meets all their needs.

You’d be surprised at the lengths some LVMs go through to get ANYTHING. With some LVMs, they may not get sex from you but they can try to leech off of you in other ways like emotional labor etc. and they can cheat.
