I would remove kids from it, because not every long term relationship ends with them. Mb, it's differences in countries but in my country men are expected to take care of everything for women, literally everything, food, housing/rent, utilities, eating out, vacations, etc. Often, when women earn something, it's for their personal needs and what men make it's a shared budget.
