Absolutely agree there. I want a partner, not a father. Not a caretaker. Not a baby to take care of either. Just a partner to share life with. Side not - I get where this sub is coming from...I think most people are shit. They make for shitty friends, shitty coworkers, shitty relationship partners. Of course there is a difference, which is already recognized by jurisdictions that allow you to bring a civil suit against the false accuser, and in some instances a civil cause for action for perjury. The discussion here is whether or not to place criminal sanctions on the victim (male or female) for reporting legitimate rape if it later becomes impossible to prove the case. This will inevitable deter legitimate cases from coming forward.

Understood. And in that case, I agree it is simple. But my understanding was most false rape accusations are not as cut and dry..in many cases of false allegations, consenting sex did happen and then the girl lied about her consent. Maybe it's more helpful to have gender neutral rape and false accusation classes for all people, than punitive measures as a deterrent?
