IMO if a party isn't your kind of party... find better parties. Or host your own.

please tell me you took the word "let" and ran with it Nah, I'm an amateur. What would you do with that?

Eh, I'm not really interested in girls with boyfriends for the simple reason that if they leave him to be with you, they'll happily leave you to trade up to someone else. Yeah, I could be the one to help end something that was really already over, or I could spend my time trying to meet other women. Abundance is key. There are plenty of single women out there. I'm mostly just looking for ways to avoid having 'I have a boyfriend' become an awkward moment.

Why aren't you hanging out with the Bay Area seddit crew??? Thought about it, honestly. I've actually been too busy (sadly, mostly with work). Might be free next weekend though. Are you guys doing anything for Bay to Breakers?

Nerdy girl-next-door. Long hair required, glasses a plus. Definitely not the traditional "hb10 model"; that doesn't really do it for me.

"When I'm sad, I stop being sad and be awesome instead. True story!" -- best fictional PUA on TV: Doogie Howser. Er, I mean, Barney Stinson.

I don't consider myself an AFC any longer, but here's my answer: No, although not for the same reasons as anyone else here. I was with my ex-gf for 7+ years. I have a great career, a 6-figure salary, own my home, am 'alpha' in my social group, and have the respect of my peers. But despite all this, when I met her I was an AFC. She was poor, on housing assistance, with depression hovering over her past. At the same time she was funny, hot, reasonably smart, shared my interests, amazing in bed, an…

The term you are looking for is 'emotional vampire'. Get him out of your life via whatever means necessary.

I feel like OKC is terrible for my sense of abundance. The ratio there is just so bad, and it's too hard to establish quick rapport via email. Interesting OKC girls are extremely picky about responding to a first message, and I've found it's just not worth my time. Maybe my profile or pictures suck, but I'm having much more success meeting women In Real Life.

Non-female here, but I think this is a great question. I'm still a relative newbie, but I've noticed a huge change in my life. In the past 48 hours, I've had a girl give me a rose, a girl buy me a drink, and then another one because she didn't think the first one was hard enough. I am not used to being the one getting hit on. And I think it has all come down to confidence. Here is what I mean when I say confidence: Don't care what anyone else thinks. Be yourself in all your glory. Talk to everyo…

So there's an interesting point you are making which I find contradicted elsewhere, and I'm curious about your/others opinions on it. What I am reading from you is that HB# is a subjective scale (a 9 for me could be a 7 or a 10 for you) whereas other sources have made it out as more objective (based on society's impression, you could use it to approximate 'how often does this girl get hit on'). Yes, the two values are somewhat correlated, but how one would use them would be drastically different…

"I'm better than those people" are your words, not mine. I don't think I am better than those people. It's just that people have an image of what makes them themselves, the core of their personality. For example, I've never used mind-altering drugs. I quit caffeine in college when I started to get withdrawal headaches. I rarely drink alcohol. Do I think I'm better than the guy whose party I went to who spent his Christmas holiday tripping acid? No, just different. I was interested in his experie…

Sure I rate in my head--especially when I'm actually considering dating someone. But from what I've seen, this scale is how 'society as a whole' would rate these women; used to give other people perspective. Which I just don't bother to think about/do. I know that I think things like "this girl is hot", "this girl is cute", "this girl would be sexy if she dressed better", but I have my own attractions. They're somewhat mainstream, but not exactly. There are some parts of the PUA routine that jus…

I know she isn't the one so I need to plan ahead. Man up and break up with her. The longer you let it go, the worse the breakup will be, and the more of an ass you are.

Definitely not doing so, just working on being more social, dealing with AA, etc. As I said, I'm on vacation.

Talking with my best friend about it, he said "you want to communicate 'your loss', but I'm not sure how to do so in that situation." I think that "Don't worry. I'm looking for people who like to have fun." is a great answer. Thanks.

You know, I think you misunderstand the point of this subreddit. I'm not here to learn pre-programmed moves, I learn the pre-programmed moves so I can help get myself out of my comfort zone and BE that 'confident, courteous, clear intentioned' guy you talk about. You can't just wake up one day and say "I'm going to be able to meet and talk to women" after a lifetime of nerddom. Heck, I'm pretty 'alpha' in my close social circle (I generally decide where we go & what we do), but after being in a …

Option B was my instinct, so I guess I should trust myself a bit more. My wingwoman is kind of shy and I was having a hard enough time getting her to dance, let alone talk to anyone. She'll learn, though.

I think people like feeling desirable, and getting hit on makes you feel good about yourself no matter who you are.
