I'm going to say it a million times. Focusing on one subject at a time just plays into the hands of the establishment. Focus on the problem & situation broadly and it's harder to refute it with all their statistics and supposedly legit studies. But that being said, we all are playing different roles in this, so how you chose to help is up to you. There's a super defeatist attitude in this sub and it doesn't need to be that way

Yo I just saw this, I've posted ridiculously long things here before For example Keep doing what you're doing, we need positive energy. Thanks for the shout-out, I'm the parade guy. I am on board 100% for making content. I'm looking to get into politics & I'm going to try to pull the left-wing party towards the center. Big goals but someone's gotta do it. Be careful with these studies, it's far too easy to decide what conclusion you want and then design your study to confirm what you already believe. That's true of everyone. What's actually true for you is your own truth, which is what you've got in your heart.

I question whether you need an analytical answer. A lot has changed in the last 15 years. In the '60s and '70s the right wing was overly analytical & the left was able to make change by being subjective, expressive, and talking about the feelings of the body. They got the upper hand (and rightly so) by making it about human experience. At this point, it's the left that has become overly analytic. I say this genuinely: be very careful about getting pulled deep into your own hatred though. Internet culture and gender politics are like drugs, once you start down the rabbit-hole it keeps pulling you in further. Are we no longer allowed to just bask in the middle and take things as they are? The issue is that there's no longer any middle to bask in. You sound like you're maybe interested in rebuilding the center starting from the Right? But that's just like saying that people who don't call themselves Christian are still Christians anyways if they are good people. Appropriating other people's good nature to add numbers to their cause. What's the relationship between the people who call themselves woke, and the people that those groups deem to be woke? Are there two different kinds of wokeness? I don't like this "them they're woke too they just don't realize it", again it just sounds like rebranded Christian morality.

(I'm OP, different username) No - I don't think it's in contrast, I think that men's advocacy at its best is complementary to and partially overlapping with LGBT advocacy and that there's a lot to be learned from the friction there. I think it would helpful if there was healthier space for mens' issues within "rainbow flag" culture, or at least a better relationship with feminism, because that is where so much of contemporary culture is happening and men are left out. I realize that's a hard ask…
