Okay, I read the story. I don't see any problem besides a witch hunt. Anyone have a link to the actual video? Someone must have captured it before it was deleted. I'd need to see the actual video to have any opinion on this issue beyond, "Meh, locals overreacting." My point is, is there anything worth reacting to? I don't think I've ever heard of a case of a man falsely accusing someone of rape - I also don't think I've ever heard of a case of a man truthfully accusing someone of rape. I can't think of a man that has ever falsely accused someone I assume you're talking about falsely accusing someone of rape - false accusations by men happen all the time, but rarely (if ever) for rape. The penalty should be at least as bad as the penalty for rape. Someone in another thread about a similar story suggested that the woman should be jailed, but also have to do community service with real rape victims as well as the rapists themselves (innocent or guilty) to truly understand how badly she fucked up someone's life. I think this would be a GREAT penalty for false rape claims.

Welcome to the broken system that is the Maryland court system. I should also note that it's not uncommon for a woman to provoke a man into domestic violence. Typically, even if she started it, she spends the night in a domestic violence shelter, he spends the night in jail. I remember a case in Baltimore City a few years back where a wife stabbed her husband during an argument. He hit back, leaving her with a broken jaw. She's free; he's in jail. I wholly agree. Thing is, the way the courts work in MD (and apparently in many other states as well), women can pretty much do no wrong when a big bad man is accused of something, falsely or not.

I will say that not all women use children as a weapon. My mother waited 17 years from knowing she wanted one to ask my father for a divorce. Why? She wanted to make sure that my brother and I were both legal adults, and couldn't be used as a weapon or leverage. She wanted to escape the custody battle.
