So in a regular relationship you sign legal documents? And when that relationship doesn't work, your partner has some claim to your assets?

Is marriage different than a relationship?

This is similar to saying slightly older men with more resources should ditch their 25+ women and trade them in for a younger woman. Yet another post outlining how the modern marriage and commitments aren't worth it.

I agree that the predominant issue with men in modern dating is a lack of self-respect. In fact, I would even go so far to say it's the lack of self-respect that turns young men into 2nd wave red pills or even black pilled incels. So much could be solved for men by men truly respecting and valuing themselves. As usual, the Red Pill has been co-opted to mean something different than it initially did. Even then, I don't think Red Pill is the most effective dating strategy literally speaking. The o…

Is this true? I would've thought the grueling work life balance would be main determining factor.

Yep. This is a simplistic way to say it, but it's totally OK to disparage men because "men bad" (unless they're attractive or rich). The double standard is real.

I would say that online and the real world are the same place. Reason being is that the online world has drastically changed everyone's access to information and continually influences individual thoughts. They're not mutually exclusive worlds, and online thought is not independent of real world thought. The idea that anyone can discriminate against someone based on their sex openly without being called out directly for it is sad.

I think it depends on how you want to define misandry and misogyny. I do think the rules should be "equal" and apply independent of the aggressor's sex.

you're a legend for posting these. OP is obviously a troll.

Men are safer, because we are the ones responsible for enforcing and protecting rights, get forced into the draft to go fight some governments wars, called when crimes are committed, told our male energy is a problem for society at a young age, expected to sacrifice our body if a child or woman is in danger, etc. Yeah. Men are safer. edit: agreeing with OP, just a different angle.

I didn't read the entire post, but I did see this: I just got back from a 1 month sex vacation in Asia where I had sex with many, many gorgeous women. On my 2nd day back to the states, I was able to pickup a girl at the bar without putting in much effort. Usually, I don't even make the attempt because I am so nervous and desperate. And even when I do, it basically never works. But having fucked so many incredibly beautiful women for a month straight, and more importantly, knowing that I could do…

Literally speaking, any OBJECT can be a fetish. From google: a form of sexual desire in which gratification is strongly linked to a particular object or activity or a part of the body other than the sexual organs. Crazy that people even think fetishes are even a "bad" thing and can be used to shame someone in the first place. There are actual disorders around fetishization, but I would say it's not even wrong to have a fetish in the first place. Saying "you have an <x> fetish" really isn't an in…

I think a fetish is more like having increased sexual gratification from something that is typically non-sexual or even asexual in nature. Fetish example: feet fetish.

I agree that commitment is the last chip men have for bargaining, and have thought of this myself. Men in our society today are shamed when they express their boundaries. This leaves us with smaller course of actions when we do feel like a boundary is being crossed in our relationship. Men are in a catch-22 situation here. I have two main schools of thoughts on this. I'll explain. Men shouldn't communicate their boundaries with words, they should do it with actions. Men should communicate their …

I agree. If one party makes the money, the other should be responsible for maintaining the living space and making a home. If both work, chores can be split, but I think it should be more nuanced than 50/50. Pretty rarely will you see anyone make the same as their partner, and one partner is bound to work more and have a more stressful position. In those cases, chores can be split based on income (provided both parties pool their income together). If the woman makes 100k, man makes 50k, then the…

I agree with what you’re saying, but on a macro scale I think the fundamental failings that cause male loneliness are rooted in lack of purpose, responsibility and means of changing their lives. Definitely agree that if men want women in their life, they need to socialize with them. I don’t think that would solve their loneliness problem. If we’re being honest, loneliness is just a side effect of a greater failing or set of failings. Men can definitely go to therapy, go to the gym, join a religi…

It’s the responsibility of the whole society. I disagree with your assessment about men’s vulnerability. Maybe prior generations were this way, but that’s a very fem-centric way of diagnosing a societal issue that is largely exclusive to men. In my opinion, the root of male loneliness is a lack of responsibility, purpose and means to improve one’s life. I disagree that it isn’t women’s responsibility. It’s certainly not their responsibility to sleep with lonely men; I’m not suggesting that. Wome…

Will my wife just be with me because she couldn’t be with Chris Hemsworth? Is she just settling for me? Yes and no. You can't expect your wife to be blind; she will see other men and find them attractive. The point, is that she doesn't act on it. And if she does, it means she's a cheater or you're in a non-trad relationship. Same goes if the roles were reversed. And of course she "settles". Do you think anyone would commit to 1 person for their life if they thought without a doubt that they coul…

Nothing hotter than a woman who holds back physical intimacy, communicates why, then throws a tantrum when the man tries to fix the why.

The husband doing additional housework isn’t independent from him being sincere. I’m sure he could sincerely do the work because of the incentive.

Saying she’s “not communicated clearly” and that “communicating is hard” is merely a way of shucking responsibility from the wife in this hypothetical. Just because communication is hard doesn’t mean the wife couldn’t do it. Yes communication can be hard, but stop infantilizing men and women.

What I'm getting at, is that biology isn't a good justification for bad or good behavior in a civilized society. Good job catching on. Just saying "that's how biology works" doesn't prove that women (or men) are justified in being hypergamous.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/09/23 12:12 PM

It all comes down to who decides what constitutes "peaking". More so, it's about where value comes from and how it is placed. I think biologically speaking, most men peak in their late twenties to mid thirties. But financially speaking, 50 could be plausible. Societally, I think this is the most succinct way I've ever heard it been said: "Women have value innately while men have to earn it" - Some person on the internet.

While I'm a bit hesitant to compare feeling around sexual assault and creeps to historical sexual promiscuity, but I think the point stands if you understand that both of these examples lead to impulsive repulsiveness that the other gender "doesn't get". Overall a based take I'd say.

This might sound counter-intuitive, but my opinion is that it's best not to announce your standards with dating. These are different than expectations in a committed relationship and it actually only ever hurts you to announce them while dating (especially if you're a man). Your standards only are open for criticism if you announce them to the world. Maybe you don't want to be with someone with a promiscuous past. That's a reasonable standard, but not everyone may think so. Maybe you expect your…

I think it’s a little incorrect to say they complain solely about their looks. I think they’ve honestly just recognized unfortunate truths about society that they don’t know how to handle. Agree with your last statement entirely though!
/r/PurplePillDebate25/08/23 10:47 AM

I think that the issue is most men want the supermodel, but can’t get them. There’s definitely a biological component to being “shallow” which I think is impossible to rid yourself of. I don’t think it’s helpful to focus on that aspect. Men who are <5/10 may end up living alone BECAUSE they can’t get the model or aren’t satisfied with women that are in their realistic range. What we should focus on for helping people like this is personal development and having realistic expectations for their l…
/r/PurplePillDebate25/08/23 10:44 AM

I think there’s a lot of credibility to what you’ve said. I can’t remember who said it, but essentially asshole men give a false impression of competence to women because of what you listed (assertive, confident, etc.).
/r/PurplePillDebate25/08/23 10:40 AM

Based. Taking responsibility for your own life as best you can is really the best way to live it. Too many people get trapped in the cycle of “I’m trauma’d and nobody wants me” and stop there.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/08/23 10:37 AM

Based. I think the risk to reward ratio for being outspoken on it is far too high to justify ruining your life for.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/08/23 10:26 AM

I agree, but the erroneous consensus on “transphobic” has other connotations that “mean” things outside being afraid. Otherwise being dubbed a transphobe on say, social media wouldn’t be so damning. I think you have to understand that and are intentionally being dull by ignoring the conflated definition imposed by greater society.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/08/23 10:21 AM

OPs point was that it couldn’t be scrutinized without censorship. It’s not transphobia to think that the gender roles and constructs that we’ve had for generations in western society being undermined in a non-liberal way.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/08/23 10:17 AM

I have been interested in Gab, but it seems to be inseminated with far right viewpoints. ( which isn’t a bad thing, ideas should be discussed even if we can’t all agree on them) How have you found Gab to be?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/08/23 10:04 AM

Your point is that people aren’t born religious, but by progressive ideology they aren’t born with gender either. What are people born with?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/08/23 09:58 AM

I think healthy criticism is censored because it goes against the ideological religion of the far progressive left and is a component of what some might call fascist philosophy. This side of it (the religion of the people) focuses on in group celebration and out group segregation and suppression. It can be found on all sides of the political spectrum, but in the West we see it most commonly arise from arrogant fools who think they know all. Honest conversations will always have the proclivity to…

The answer should be no. I’m sure there are outliers (creeps with some sort of superiority complex) but men shouldn’t be shamed for their preferences. Nothing wrong with liking their woman in the smaller side, just like there’s nothing wrong with liking women on the larger side. Is it problematic for women to prefer taller/bigger men?

‘“If women want all the say” they don’t want it. It’s theirs. Until men can birth a child, it will always be. Go argue with evolution.’ If women already have all the say in whether a child is born, how is it that men should be held socially or legally responsible for that woman’s decision?

WRT your question, there isn’t another instance that’s as specific as this. There are a number of contraceptive methods readily available, so your point is moot. Why not just use reliable contraceptive methods instead of abstinence or vasectomy? Why go to such extremes? AFAIK, condoms are 99% effect unless used improperly. If women want care free sex without risk of pregnancy, why shouldn’t they get their tubes tied or just not have sex? It sounds just as stupid when you reverse the sexes.

You’re the one who suggested abstinence in the first place. Why suggest it at all if it wasn’t a serious suggestion?

Men can’t release the key element if women just stay abstinent. And the “key element” doesn’t matter at all if women get their tubes tied. If women want to have all the say and risk regarding a pregnancy, they should take all the responsibility. Men shouldn’t be forced to pay for a child they didn’t want just as much as a woman shouldn’t be forced to birth one they don’t want. In all seriousness, abstinence is a hilarious suggestion and I’d assume somewhat disingenuous on your part. Are you real…

I agree with more responsibility, but it i think women should be the ones to enforce and own it. Rephrase it like this: “Women, if you don’t want to have a life altering pregnancy or abortion, get your tubes tied or stay abstinent”. Doesn’t really sound as appealing that way, does it? If you were to say this in any open forum, you would be chastised as a misogynist and probably put through the cancel culture ringer. “Her body, her choice” implies that women are strong enough to make their own de…

Strongly disagree. Men benefit and detriment from this. Women approaching saves men from wasting their time money and effort going after a girl that may or may not choose them. These are the attractive males with attractive traits. Men without external traits still have to approach but always run the risk of missing the shot.
