As someone once suicidal, slitting your wrists is an incredibly unreliable method

Fucking thank you! Shaving someone's head is not technical and there is no reason why the barber couldn't do her head. People ITT acting like shaving a woman's head requires separate training are talking nonsense and are clutching at straws to avoid taking the woman's side. Jesus everytime this sub appears on my frontpage it makes me so depressed.

I'm sorry it's really hard to detect satire on this sub, especially because others in this comment thread have been making the same argument in earnest.

Ok well I guess that's where you and I disagree.

Do you really care so little for women that you think tampons should be treated differently to other necessary hygiene products simply because you don't directly benefit from them?

Oh stop being so dramatic. It's a drop in the ocean, a rounding error to most corporations.

Damn, what a nebulous take. Why bother discussing anything online when there's an infinite number of more productive things to be doing?

And your bodily functions are your business, yet they're nonetheless catered for free of charge.

You couldn't have missed my point harder if you tried

a. You're just incorrect in that assessment and b. You couldn't have missed the point any harder if you'd tried.

Why are women expected to always have an emergency tampon on their person but men aren't required to carry emergency toilet paper wherever the go?

This just reads as such an arbitrary and, frankly, sexist distinction. CEOs are paid millions of dollars a year but oh god tampons are just too expensive.

What? No one is asking for anyone to make tampons for free. Toilet paper manufacturers still get paid even though I can go to work and get it for free. Condom manufacturers still get paid even though I can go to the clinic and pick some up free of charge. Why do tampons have to be any different?

You're just wrong. Are you from the UK? Page 3 Is still very much a thing

I think that's because of British publishing laws on what newspapers can and cannot shop. Bare ass and tits are fair game (hence page 3 girls) but anything more sexually explicit is not. I'm assuming sex toys are included in the latter categorisation.

What's that supposed to mean? I was defending it because I didn't agree with the initial charactarisation that feminists set out to exclude male victims of rape from the definition.

I'm not a troll, I was at work and couldn't listen to the podcast. You referenced a paper when quoting Mary Koss and so that was where I was looking. I'll listen to the podcast tomorrow if you want to continue this discussion, but for the time being if you want to link the quote I'm all ears.

Ok so I found a better quality version and converted it to OCR. A Ctr + F search for the above quote yielded no results. Sorry to do this to you but can you provide the page number please?

Yes well in this particular instance the victim never pressed charges which is why the perpetrator wasn't prosecuted. Unfortunately this is an all too common occurance for child victims of rape/sexual assault as many don't realise or are manipulated away from thinking what happened was wrong until much later on.

Except that part where prominent feminist leaders, like Mary P Koss, who describes male victims of female rapists in her academic papers as being not rape victims because they were "ambivalent about their sexual desires" (if you don't know what that means, it's that they actually wanted it), and then went on to define them out of the definition of rape in the CDC's research because it's inappropriate to consider what happened to them rape. I notice you ripped that paragraph verbatim from another…

Ok sure, perhaps you can argue they didn't expand the definition far enough, but given their starting position (that explicitly constrains the definition to only apply to women) I think you'd have to agree they made considerable a progress towards a more inclusive definition. Like I said, Rome wasn't built in a day. It takes time for the law to catch up with changing societal attitudes. Evidently the feminist vision of equality means women can't rape men, not even underage boys. This situation i…

What the hell are you talking about? In 2011 the Feminist Majority Movement successfully campaigned for the FBI to formally change it's definition of rape from "the carnal knowledge of a female, forcibly and against her will" to "The penetration, no matter how slight, of the vagina or anus with any body part or object, or oral penetration by a sex organ of another person, without the consent of the victim." One of the motivations for this change was explicitally to include male victims of rape u…

She doesn't have dual citizenship. Through her mother she is eligible to apply for Bangladeshi citizenship (which she did, and was promptly rejected). I reckon the British government will be forced to let her return at some point. I think this is a delaying tactic until the media coverage blows over.

Would you really say that to a mate who had just painfully bombed infront of an audience? She knew she sucked, he knew she sucked, she knew he knew she sucked, but what good would have come about from kicking a friend while she's down?

My guess is that she had sex with the intention of being "raped" by consenting until he was fully in the throes of passion to then tell him to stop but hoping that he wouldn't. Hence statutory just regular old rape and a convenient get out of college free card. Can't really substantiate this, but I can't think of any other way to interpret that statement.

What heartless cunts. And over just $13. I hope they get their comeuppance one of these days.
