I experienced abuse as a teenager (grew up with an alcoholic mother who beat/cussed/etc at me) like these kids probably have, whether direct or indirect. How many flops this year have been reboots? MIB, Charlie's Angels, Terminator, Hellboy. We need unique, original pieces again. I've almost joked that studios should have 1-2 years of very minimal amount of productions to kind of get people wanting movies again. There are so many shows, movies on a variety of platforms these days that I feel like we're over-saturated in entertainment.
