Make sure to set reasonable achievable goals when you start, and go everyday. Make it a habit and something fun you like doing otherwise you won’t keep going

Have not made it there yet, the highest I ever got was 178 and keeping that mass on was a serious eating challenge. I was pretty much always eating

I like to think of it as ones ability and skill in any social interaction in the sexual market place. Or easier yet your ability to play the game.

Being lonely and being alone are two totally separate things. Being comfortable, and happy while being alone and doing what you want to do is the key. You are your own best friend, and you have your own interests in front of everything else. If people come along for the ride that's great. Meet people doing the things you love to do and you'll find friends. Conquering your social anxiety can be trick, but I feel "fake it till you make it" may be helpful here. Say and do what you want, and quiet t…

You should do nothing, and say nothing. Simply because it is not your problem. You were used as a sounding board for your friend to vent, nothing more. You are not Dr. Phil, stay the fuck out of it!

Actually if you would like we can discuss running. I used to run a lot, sub 18 in a 5k, but that was years ago. Brought to you from the good people at runners world. So if you would like to claim that you have made miraculous strides in foot and ankle health, that's on you bud. http://m.runnersworld.com/general-interest/vibram-agrees-to-settle-class-action-lawsuit Sounds a lot like the whole shape ups debacle, eh?

Why the down votes? CrossFit is like every other fad workout / fad diet. It is there for others to make money off of the easily swayed. It won't last and it certainly isn't designed for the user to last long doing oly lifts for reps and time

The problem with the "eat more" advice is you. When I started I was 5'6 135# and ate what I thought was a ton of food. Guess what it wasn't a ton of food, I now know what "eat more" means as I have made it up to 175# @ 8%bf. I don't have any helpful advice, just eat clean and till your jaw is tired from chewing chicken and rice.

I'm going to risk sounding like Rich Piana here, but here goes nothing. You are not training hard enough and you are not eating enough for your body to grow. Are you lifting everyday? You should be, rest days are bullshit they are for the weak minded. Your body will recover, you just have to train it to go balls to the wall all the time. Over training is bull shit too. I, in all good conscience, can not lecture you about nutrition because I would be a hypocrite, and I truly don't like the nutrit…

Nope, Viagra will give you boners even if you are trying to telling it not to. Did you know, viagra was created to help with heart conditions and the side effect was erections. Then the pharm companies shifted gears and marketed them as boner pills.

spread your focus to all squats not just high bar back squats. Stretch all the time, practice 3rd world squatting to help get in the hole (I see far too many people 1/2 or even 1/4 squat), do high bar and low bar back squats and front squats. Also hack squat! Too much of just one focus will give you an over development in one area, and you'll end up having weird looking quads like DLB. but that's just my 2 cents

I have been playing violin since i was 8 (now 27) and guitar since 18. The way I view playing music is, I do it for me. I play because I like playing, I don't perform for others for validation of my awesome skillz. If they find out you play, and you play for them, bonus. If not then, guess what you're still awesome at playing an instrument or 2.

I guess if you're going for that I look like I don't workout I'm just big look, but abs (read: strong core) are essential for most of your power movements (dead, squat, bench) anyway so why the hell not be able to show them off with proper diet?
/r/TheRedPill17/10/14 11:40 AM

at 5'9, 150 is not much.. Hit the gym bud, and eat healthy. Abs are made in the gym and shown off in the kitchen

From what I understand about posture, this is a bad thing. It typically means "curl bro" status, meaning if you do work out you do a lot of chest and arm exercises, which causes your shoulders to round forward and your knuckles to face forward.

if you have never tried straps, you should, it basically takes your whole grip issue out of the equation, when I finish my sets my entire posterior chain is dead ass tired and my grip is weakened but not as badly. The belt i see as more of just in the way, but i have a very strong core
/r/TheRedPill02/10/14 04:37 PM

No straps, no belts. You sir, are an animal. When I started I used both but I have been working my way away from needing any type of lifting aid.

unless i did the conversion wrong 160kg is 365lbs yea? my 1rm for dead is 445lbs. full disclosure for the longer sets i use wrist straps. I've been lifting for 8 years, i am not new to this game.

3) Study comedy so that you can tell one really good joke. Watch more stand-up comedy. Read about comedy, learn about how jokes are told and made. Learn some jokes. I have a joke: A man with no arms who wants to be the bell-ringer for Notre Dame. The priest lets him try out, and he rings the bell by running into it with his face. The horrified priest say its not loud enough, so the man backs up to take another go and falls out a window. The priest runs down and finds a crowd has gathered. They a…

I hope I don't come off as paranoid but, wouldn't you want something that wears off on its own, much like the pill. Assume you get this shot for x dollar amount, and the only way to get rid of this gel is another shot. That company could potentially make shot #2 a million dollars, who knows what could happen. They would literally have you by the balls.

couldn't agree with you more. I am 5'6 170 at 7%bf it doesn't help. All the muscle and confidence in the world can't help you make up for 6inches in height. swallowed that pill long ago

I agree with this. Getting big will help your confidence, but as a guy who started out 5'6 130 and am now 170 and cut up, it's all about your mindset. Once you start down the I'm going to get big path, big is never big enough, it's all relative. Don't lift for others, lift because you like lifting, because you feel good doing it, because you can clear your head while doing it.

Fitness should be a lifelong goal. The sooner you start, the easier it is to >maintain. Exactly this, it starts off as a chore, then becomes a routine, and eventually fitness (being healthy, making healthy decisions) becomes a lifestyle

you missed 121895's point, he didn't mean held accountable as in sentencing or punishment. What he meant was exactly what he said, when a man does something terrible he is 'evil' or innately bad, when a woman does something terrible she was pushed to her limits of being able to take a situation and forced over the edge mentally, and led to her actions to fucking kill someone with a hammer.

Maybe I am just a genetic outlier, but i fall between 1 and 2. I try to eat as clean as I can, but shit what you have laid out here are "radical" lefts and rights of the should I take roids spectrum. Most guys view roids as a quick means to their genetic potential, at least most on r/bodybuilding. As for your last sentence, I couldn't agree more. Watch Broscience - pros and cons of taking steroids, it's satire but still pretty much lays out the cons as overwhelming.

this. If your activity level is truly where you say it is then you need more calories, other wise your body will hold on to what it can (starvation mode). It's similar to water retention, don't drink a lot of water body holds on to water and you look bloated, drink tons of water the body doesn't worry about the next time it will be getting water. (NOT A NUTRITIONIST - just a body building competitor that experiments with own body comp)
