I had a great insight into this when I stumbled across Anthony Robbins material (the life coach) and his thing about human drivers. Like there's pain/pleasure, then there's security/variance and a third pair i can't remember now. But anyway, good stuff on human beings. 👌

I agree with what you're saying here and I concur that focusing on product development is a great analogy. I would like to say this however (as an extension); don't you think that going through a pain period after learning Outer game is necessary in order to properly learn Inner game when you've had some field experience? Comparing to getting your MBA directly after finishing college usually don't reward you as much as when you've had a couple of years of working the industry.

This FR was really interesting to read. I like how you used pickup theory as an explanation and applied technique at the same time. I've used similar approaches before but having some experience to build upon, I've at least remembered to think about a contingency plan (number, book a later date). Anyway, excellent way of including her in the observation game while gaming her.

Yeah the 80/20 rule can be a pretty heavy insight to cope with. But as you say, when you practice and make it to the 20%, well it's a pretty fucking sweet spot to be in.
