0	State Senator Considering Legislation to Terminate the Parental Rights of Men ACCUSED, not Convicted, of Rape (Indiana Residents, You May Want to Sound Off to Your State Senator) The only reason I can think of this as beneficial is in the situation where the accused has current custody of the children and the accused is indeed guilty (but remains to be convicted). In that case the children are temporarily removed from the accused's custody. Now, if that is already done, then the law is redundant.
