Good work getting to where you got. When the 'hot' comment gets spewed it's always good to play the inverse role in a playful way, "are you hitting on me/trying to seduce me/ I can't be seduced etc.". Her response can open a few angles for which way to steer, also you're essentially making her qualify herself because you're the catch. I'm really buying into it being a process. Like most things we're new at I'm expecting to fall on my face so knowing that helps to reduce the self imposed pressure I feel and makes It a little easier each time to open with relevance or unabashed confidence.

This was a tough read my dude, sorry for your situation. Mainly because the time invested in her and the connection you felt you had. Great discussion OP. Glad you brought this observation to the table! As far as the cutting the girls off, its one thing to cut them off in a butt hurt type of way which should be avoided, but 2+ months, 5 dates and a kiss later is leaving this guy vulnerable emotionally.
