I fail to see how that would be that different from geology (how many people are going to be really familiar with geology - rocks n shit?). Programming isn't simply code, there is a story behind it. The two most obvious ones to me are the problem solving story and creating art (it's debatable whether they are fundamentally different at all, but you can tell them as different stories).

I've never seen that on a live site to be honest. When you're logged in as administrator you get a bunch of options like that to manage things on Drupal. View, Edit, etc.

I actually like the fact TofuTofu gets 'bent out of shape' over it. To me it says he cares so much about this place, that is actually bothers him when it's not functioning properly. The fact it comes out in public rather than privately may not be the best decision, but at least I know it's there now.

It's interesting to me that you seem to deadset on the belief that there is one set of 'pickup concepts.' Statistically, one set may perform best on an entire population but that doesn't mean it will always work with every person. Perhaps other strategies or completely different strategies work on a small set of people.

Is it really prejudging after you've written a bunch about yourself and asked certain questions? You stated upfront that what this subreddit is about conflicts with your core beliefs. Then you think you've been prejudged? That's like the pope saying he's being prejudged as being catholic. I am not a pua, I read this subreddit out of curiosity and an interest in psychology (I do marketing). I am sure the reasons people come here vary but it's probably mostly men 20-40 (guessing).
