My duration for support is double. Almost 9 yrs. A lot can happen good or bad. I have been leaning towards non-modifiable, but second guessing.

Be prepared for the crazy level to hit 1000 if she has BPD. In my current situation I never even knew about BPD until a visit to the psych hospital after a attempted suicide by my spouse. It was totally a control and manipulation tactic, which is scary and sad. The Psych Nurse Practitioner brought it up, 1st time hearing about bpd, when we had a meeting during her hospital stay. Looking back now and also several other recent incidents, I can clearly see the pattern went way back in our marriage …

How do we get a 3-5 year renewable marriage contract. Why forever? Most people just get comfortable, but if it’s renewed every 5 years and you both want it to work comfortable goes away and is replaced by effort.

I think we all care about money. If I didn’t care I wouldn’t be working as hard as I do. My stbxw had the audacity to ask how much life insurance I had while I was laying in a hospital after just having a heart attack. There has always been something, a reason to quit, a reason she was called off, a reason only got 4 days in the month, a reason couldn’t make dinner or a reason she needed to spend. She wants to keep the house, so she was told she needs to boost her income to qualify for a refi and magically she has 4 days a week no problem. If she worked a 40 hour …

As I made more money each year, she slowly started to work less and less. Enjoying all the fun things she wanted to enjoy and working 1-2 days per week. Which I did not agree to, especially since our kids were pretty much self sufficient. She has been trying to basically retire early and do minimal work both outside and inside the home. Not aligned here which has slowly led to my resentment.
