Need quick advice. Preg- GFYou're welcome! Feel free to message me if you need anything else, mate. | /r/MensRights | 24/04/11 08:38 PM
Need quick advice. Preg- GFI meant more that she's allowed to not list a father on the birth certificate without uncomfortable questions, unless she's planning on giving the baby up for adoption. That would probably make getting out of this situation a lot easier, as well. If she's told you that she won't be putting your name on any documents if you aren't around, then that should make signing the waiver a lot easier. If she's truly going to accept that, then that makes your life easier. Bringing a child into the world at… | /r/MensRights | 24/04/11 08:29 PM
Need quick advice. Preg- GFWell, best of luck to you again. I don't really take issue with any individual's qualms for/against abortion, but in cases like yours, I can't help but get a little enraged. If she's also in the same boat as you (early 20s, student loans and a bunch of bullshit), she really has no business being a mother and shouldn't demand such a life-changing commitment from you. You mentioned how you feel that you're in a state in your relationship where you're ready to get out - maybe she's aware of that an… | /r/MensRights | 24/04/11 08:04 PM
Need quick advice. Preg- GFDon't worry, no KY jokes. Heh. Hm, there is a waiver you'd be able to sign, but I believe your girlfriend would also have to sign it once paternity is confirmed. That way you won't get fucked into paying child support. Anyway, I've done some Googling, and hopefully this is helpful, unless you've already looked into it: https://apps.chfs.ky.gov/pandp_process/termination_of_parental_rights.htm Is it safe to assume you either aren't close with your parents or aren't going to tell them about this? | /r/MensRights | 24/04/11 07:48 PM
Need quick advice. Preg- GFDo whatever you can to relinquish your parental rights, I suppose, assuming the child is actually yours. Each state has different requirements for doing so, but (I feel this goes without saying, but whatever) your girlfriend would also have to be cool with you wanting to relinquish your parental rights. If she's serious about keeping it and wants you to be involved in the child's life when it's born, then that'll be a separate shit show. Best of luck, man. | /r/MensRights | 24/04/11 07:18 PM
