I don't have the experience to speak on the race aspect of this but I think as a general rule, if a man says "you're not like other women" in ANY way (and they can be VERY creative in how they say this) then run. Women need stronger class consciousness. In other words, we need to look out for one another, defend one another, and value one another over men in general. If a man puts down other women, my loyalty is always with the women, not the man.

I don't know if this represents the FDS community, but my perspective is that marriage is rarely a good option for women, whether we have assets or not.

Last year I joined adults "skills" clinics for two different sports I'd never played before. Generally the clinics were divided up by level, so I played with beginners and had the opportunity to meet people more highly skilled as well. In both clinics, groups of us exchanged numbers right away and made group chats to continue to meet and practice the sport. The clinics were also on a weekly basis for about 10-12 weeks so I saw the same people over and over again and was able to build some connec…

Couldn't agree more. Thank you for everything you've said here in this post! And, correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure the political podcast is a second podcast altogether. This latest episode was just meant to introduce one of the hosts, but moving forward our usual podcast will still be non-political FDS content.

I went on a date with a man last week who told me he's not into porn. My alarm bells were immediately ringing because I also learned on that date that he frequents reddit (red flag honestly) and enjoys video games (ugh). There won't be a second date for those reasons and others, but the porn comment definitely struck me as a lie given the bigger picture.

Even if there wasn't that mountain of circumstantial evidence pointing towards him I'd still suspect him of killing his gf if she were missing, because it's usually the boyfriend/husband anyway.

I absolutely love his voice and honestly would consider myself a bit of a diehard fan since falling in love with his first ep trilogy a decade ago. But some of his lyrics - nay, most of his lyrics - are horrifying and you are definitely not reading into it. His image is and always has been centred around his depravity and misogyny.

I've been using FDS to guide my dating experience for about 3 months although I discovered the sub sooner and first took time to level up. While dating, my success has been in filtering out the LVM. I have not met a HVM yet but I have saved my time, money, and peace by not engaging with LVM and having a strong cutoff game. I've found online dating with FDS to be an excellent way to practice setting boundaries, noticing patterns and red flags, and getting rid of the scarcity mindset. I don't care…

Maybe with some rules to make us think more critically before commenting. Like "if it's a) something one of your female friends would do or b) a one-off rather than a consistent behaviour over time, it's not exceptional and doesn't belong in the comments"

I wonder if a post discussing real examples of exceptional behaviour would be a good idea, maybe even for the handbook. Somewhere where we can comment on real life examples of exceptional behaviour we have seen from men rather than bare minimum behaviour.

I wouldn't take advice from a male friend tbh, especially one that began by pursuing you. And definitely don't go to school for a hypothetical man. This is all very pick-me.

I've had two exes who I caught cheating and they both used insecurity as their excuse. One of them had a whole speech about how I was too good for him and if I ever left him then at least he'd have a one-up on me by knowing he'd cheated so it would hurt less. It would cushion the pain should I ever leave. There were tears and mentions of childhood bullying somewhere in the speech too. I was about 21 and very naive, I actually bought it.

I think drink dates are a bad idea because his intention is to get you drunk and less inhibited. A man could easily cancel 1 hour before a dinner date too or any type of date really - I'm not certain it's related to being a drink date?

Oh and the third phone call went great, zero red flags, but then he texted me something a few days later in conversation that was pompous and condescending, so I blocked him. Ughh

Dealing with exactly the same thing right now. I've got 70+ conversations on my dating profile hidden (or I blocked) because of red flags or zero conversational effort. It feels like this strange combination of recognizing my growth/realizing how high my standards are now plus depression at the state of men these days and how much sifting we have to do to get past all the bs out there.

I've been online dating for about a month now. I've had 70+ matches that turned into conversations and all but three of the conversations ended for various reasons. Three conversations have been good enough for an exchange of numbers and a prescreening phone call. Out of the phone calls, I've gone on one date with a man who turned out to be pretty low value. I had another offer for a date post- phone call (dinner and drinks) but he didn't follow up about it until the day of, so I declined. I gue…
