Practice. The more you do it, the easier it gets. For most people. Not everyone. And if the person's mind is completely blank in a contextual situation, how would they have the mental clarity to answer a complex question like "What would Han Solo do?" ?

Isn't every girl abroad? I'll see myself out.

Why did you remember the bar and the cocktails? What was so good about it? Was that the favourite part of the trip to this particular place?

Can you give us an example? Give us one of the stories as if you were actually saying it and we might be able to provide feedback.

Sure, all those guys who struggle with this stuff can just flip a switch and suddenly have perfect situational awareness and fully understand body language. None of them have some kind of inability to understand/interpret this stuff, they're just not trying hard enough! /a in case it wasn't obvious.

Probably. I'm just commenting that if the goal is to inspire the people you're talking about in this thread, that approach might not work. But like I give a fuck what a stranger on the internet thinks. Your post adds nothing to the topic being discussed which I think is pretty accurate.

Belief (especially self-belief) isn't changed by people using words like "faggot". Just FYI.

Just curious, how is one expected to "visualize talking from the bottom of your lungs" ? That's like when you're at the gym and you're told "activate your core". Activate? Why do they always say that? I mean, I don't disagree with your premise, but I don't see how visualising talking from the bottom of your lungs would make a difference, since air flows from your lungs (both top and bottom) through your vocal chords to make your voice. Maybe a voice coach might have more applicable suggestions?

If I could use context and visual clues to generate topics, I wouldn't be stuck with a blank mind and nothing to talk about. And the same thing happens when I listen - I just can't think of any questions to ask or things to say. I'm probably autistic.

I'm going to need to find someone to practice this shit on. Eye contact is probably my biggest issue (after extreme/crippling social anxiety).

What other resources are there to help people like me who really struggle with self-motivation and discipline? I know that I'm supposed to take responsibility for my life to improve it, but this is a habit I've developed for 30 years - it's not going to go away overnight, and I need help pushing through the "complicated" issues when my natural inclination is to just quit. Additionally, what lessons do you have for "small talk". I know it sounds ridiculous, but I literally can't think of anything…

You're all very lucky. As a balding man, I'd love to shave my head, except I have some sort of messed up skin thing (like super-dandruff, but mixed with open sores) which are very unpleasant to look at. Consider yourselves lucky you have the luxury of shaving your heads.

Yes there is something more pathetic: a bluepill beta who refuses to accept the truth. (I'm intending this as a motivating force, not a shaming tactic.)

Or, you feel good about yourself for helping someone who was in a similar situation as yourself, one where you felt bad. Let me ask you: have you ever done something that you hated for a stranger, purely for their own benefit and nothing to do with yours, where you didn't feel good about it afterwards? That is altruism. Helping someone usually makes you feel good, and is something of a selfish act.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
