My college professor said it best. Some of you will work hours each night on homework and studying, go to every lecture and recitation, work in study groups, and still struggle to maintain passing grades. Others will show up only for tests and ace them all. That may seem unfair. Well. Life isn't fair. Sometimes you have to work harder than everyone else, and you'll still come up short. That's life. Learn it now, and it'll be easier to accept later.

Yeah I could do that. Let me get through all the responses, I'll work something up, and we'll see if I can make it good haha. Thanks man!

Well, and this may be an ignorant question or view as I'm not any kind of endorsed contributor, but how does the constant awalt, women are sluts, don't marry, relationships only work if they are plates, etc. vibe fit into red pill being positive to a relationship. I have my own opinions about this and how AWALT is affected by confirmation bias in this community, but I'd be interested in hearing a differing view about it. I should also note that I understand the high risk, low reward nature of ma…

I'm slightly confused. How'd we get from furniture and auto sales to software? Just in case it was unclear, all my comments were focused on replying to furniture and auto sales comments. I guess I don't know what point your trying to make. But while I'm here, I had no idea inside sales made bonus/commission structure at 100% salary, even in the bay where cost of living necessitates higher wages. I don't work in software so roles and responsibilities are obviously different with an entire positio…

Most? I dunno about that. Nor do I think this is where anyone with half a brain should focus. Commodity driven markets in an Era where many customers are considered disloyal because they don't rely solely on relationships and have access to product knowledge makes it difficult for sales people to find any appreciable value to offer their customers. Not to mention these commodities are driven largely by turnover rate, and incredibly archaic statistic that removes half of the skill involved in sal…

Unfortunately, I think the tone that some of our posts have, and the content in certain cases, highlight a different perceived goal than to understand women and be the best version of ourselves. That is what I believe TRP is at its core, and should be. But many posters feel the need to verbally assault any betas in the audience, with posts that are ridden with "don't be a fucking bitch" or "awalt: she doesn't give a fuck about you, so don't give a fuck about her". This gives off an entirely diff…

Well, not really. Gravity isn't what killed him, so it would be an oversimplification to summarize the above comment as "gravity", though, for the typical person, it makes no difference to paraphrase the statement incorrectly as it gets the point across.

It literally blows my mind why there seems to be a post that seems to just say "lift weights" followed by name calling every couple days on this sub. I'm curious why is it everyone thinks it's necessary to reiterate ad nauseum and why the assumption exists that most of the rookies aren't lifting? I'm not necessarily saying this assumption is incorrect, but rather wondering in an online based forum, why we just assume everyone isnt lifting? Edit: I suppose I should mention that it isn't necessari…

Who do you know that watches full length, multiple tabs, multiple times per day? I don't think I've ever met anyone that utilizes porn like that, but then again, I don't spend a lot of my time talking about porn with my buddies, which, to your point, probably means I'm not one of the people whom this post is targeted against. Still blows my mind tho. That seems incredibly excessive and I couldn't imagine getting that far into it.

Interested as to why the general assumption here is that masturbation to porn and going to the gym, being productive in the work place, meeting women, having sex, attacking goals, bettering yourself, etc are mutually exclusive. Why is it that I must either be jerking off at all hours of the day with no motivation to better myself or I must be no fap club and abstain entirely while working on progressing in life? Can't a dude jerk off and then get back on my shit? Or is that heresy.

I'm interested in this story, because I have lots of conversations with buddies about RP theory. I like to discuss it, in some cases to help those who are struggling with the social interactions with women, others to discuss differing opinions of some of the RP concepts. I'm all for hearing different opinions, I don't agree everything you find on the RP sub reddit. Sure, you could say I'm still blue pilled as I refuse to accept some of the theories, but I would like to think there isn't a 100% f…

It's called the Pythagorean theorem, not the Pythagoras theorem. Kind of blows my mind you used this as an example, but I digress. It's a solid post because this is key in bettering yourself, something that this sub has drifted away from in the past year or so, focusing instead on field reports full of confirmation bias, and rants that draw absurd conclusions from limited data in news stories. Personally, I've been questioned about why I would, as am example, take notes during a lecture when the…

I think it goes even further than that, where pretty soon emotional manipulation will qualify as sexual assault. I made a post in the stand up comedy reddit about this very issue where I said if we continue feeding women by qualifying this type of behavior as assault, we are setting ourselves up for a future where if a man doesn't do as a women asks, she will say he is abusing her and he will go to jail. It's absurd to think, but it's starting to feel very real.

While I like what you are doing as the post quality has taken a nose dive recently, I feel like this misses the point of reddit entirely. If the only content I wanted to see was from other blogs, I'd go to the other blogs. I like to read about opinions of other posters, even newbies who are clearly missing the ball. The community just needs to work through the growing pains of exploding with new users, all trying to say their two cents about touching boobs. I, as with most, hate to see a wild cl…

Rare? I'd say it would be more accurate to say they are right more often than not. Nearly all of the information on the website includes sources, which is more than you can say about many other websites, including news outlets, and especially reddit. It feels a little humorous that a reddit post, a website that is littered with misinformation and upvoted comments that make wild claims with no references, is calling out Wikipedia for, as you put it, rarely getting it right. This isn't a high scho…

I thought the same thing when it came to a bunch of the referenced material, though some of it seemed vague and potentially inadmissible. I think there is a ton of information there that should hold up and he should win, but it really depends on how effectively the defense can call for some of the material to be thrown out based on relevance and inference. I will probably follow the story as I'm interested to see what sticks.

How would this stand up in court? If women can say yes, vocally, make the first move, and then accuse of rape and convince a jury and a judge through emotional appeal and well timed tears, I feel like a prosecuting attorney can spin this as a joke and succeed. Any lawyers in the room? I’m very interested in law and want to study it just to be able to defend myself from frivolous lawsuits. I wanted to be a lawyer for a while until I realized what I wanted out of a law degree (stable job, high inc…

God I fucking hate this. I work in sales, and this sentiment leads to those shitty, pushy, fucking annoying salesmen straight out of the boiler room or whatever movie you look up to. I resent salesmen that follow the sentiment you highlight in this post, as if dominating and controlling people is the goal. It isn’t. It’s about analyzing customer needs, and focusing your pitch based on their solution image. It’s about covering your bases and understanding people buy for different reasons, and kno…

Wasn’t she in a movie about marrying for money? Regardless, good for them. If he is happy and she is happy, I’m going to move on with my life. Hell, even if they are both miserable, I’m not going to spend too much of my energy on the topic. I agree with an above poster that these kinds of posts don’t seem to help better the community, although I can understand if the point is to reinforce the idea that marriage is a bad idea for men. I just don’t spend much energy paying attention to stuff like …

The idea of red pill is to better yourself as a man, is it not? I feel like you are trivializing the subreddit by calling it a sexual strategy forum. Yes, sexual strategy is an obvious component. But I’d like to think there’s a little more to the benefits that can be gained from discussions here than just how to fuck more women. Regardless, it sounds like you missed the point entirely. Cmon guys. I went 7 years without having sex. Did I want sex? Yes. Did I get arrested for sexual assault or make irrational decisions because I was in some sort of fictitious sexual debt? No. Regardless of your opinions of the facts of the cases (I disagree with some of the things I hear as well), not having sex doesn’t mean you make irrational choices, unless your weak. I was arguably more successful in my career, my fitness, my sports, and my hobbies back then as compared to know where sex com…

Well. To be fair, he didn't say be yourself. If your stuck in a super beta personality, that would be bad advice. But if you have been moving the right direction with the information found in this sub, I think it's fair advice to say just be rather than actively trying to be alpha, right? Fair questions but TBH I don't care. Even if he made this up, he did well IMO and regardless of whether he closed, it sets a good example.

Everyone is latching on to the parenthesis I put in there. You may be right, I shouldn't have jumped to conclusions with that comment. Fair enough. Regardless, your other stats don't prove anything. It isn't significant. If there is a wage gap (which you say yes and below he says no) then that explains half of your "key points". I don't see how your drawing conclusions off of what you showed here.

Are these numbers as significant as you are making them seem? Women taking longer to pay off debt when they make less would make sense. Making less could be due to the wage gap (which red pill doesn't believe in but never cites anything more than anecdotal evidence as to why). 38 vs 31% of debt paid off after four years isn't much of a difference and again, nothing special here. You make less, harder to pay off debt. 56% is hardly much of a majority (also just one semester, I'd be interested in …

Lots of congrats to you from everyone. I think you fucked up multiple times, and then tried to make up for it last minute. It was too late. You did way too much for her, let her walk all over you, and just dealt. Yeah you cracked and stopped being a bitch, but again - way too late. This should be a "lessons learned - don't do what I did" not a congratulatory post.

Sure but going overseas and risking your life for money is. Well. Fucking nuts. Do you even make good money in the army? I've always heard it's shit money, and in my experience people that join either a) have no other option or b) super patriotic. Now I guess I'll add c) a little fucking insane.

I don't get the love. I thought he was doing fantastic talking to Colin. Being straight up. Didn't let Colin slip in things that he didn't agree with. Made sure the course of the interview was where he wanted it to be. Then he just flipped out. Seemingly out of nowhere. Is there a backstory? Probably. But that was hardly holding frame. This is such an absurd comment. Regardless of your red pill nature or whatever, to say intelligent women don't exist is a absurd. Now, women have different views on social and emotional dynamics, and they have traits in the social arena that are very different from men. But this has nothing to do with overall intelligence. They may be much quicker to respond with emotion rather than logic, but again this isn't an intelligence argument. Just because you have different views than women (which, gen…

I never said I thought it was great. I wanted something different for personal reasons so I got out. I didn't leave because of work life balance (arguably worse at times in sales) or because of what other people thought of the work I do (again, how many people do you know that think sales is fascinating?). My advice is based on this absurd line of thinking that you should select your career based on what other people think, how many women work in the field, etc. If you think it's great, then fuc…

Alright so I have an mech engineering degree and worked as an engineer for a bit before I transitioned to sales. You can write me off for being a salesperson. That's fine. I could give a shit less. But my advice is still applicable to your situation. Plenty of engineers find a work life balance. You obviously don't think it's possible. If that's truly the case for you, then either get out and do something else that's less challenging and requires less of your time, or stop fucking complaining. I…

Dude wtf. Shit post. Find what you want to do, what you enjoy, figure out a way to get paid for it. Then do whatever else you want to do in your off time. If your so fucking insecure about the judgements of others that you need to lie about your profession (or worse, change it to business because you have this clearly asinine opinion about stereotypes and getting laid) then you need to start over.

Maybe I'm different than most people in here, or most people in general, but I think that theory is absurd. If you told me I could either have sex or accomplish a huge goal, I'd take the goal. Sex isn't my main motivation. It's like money. Sure it's nice to have. But I don't base all my decisions on how to get more of it. That just sounds depressing.
/r/TheRedPill26/02/17 08:29 PM

Actually, didn't Freud say that everything we do springs from one of two motives? Sex and the desire to be great? I think some of your examples may have had some motivation from the latter as well.

I think this a great point. And leads to a further comparison. Smv is like price. If you sell yourself right, price rarely becomes an issue. People freak out about price in sales because they think people won't buy unless its the cheapest solution. It's not true, and salespeople have been killing it with higher prices for ages. Smv is largely the same. Everyone focuses so much on this like it's the only way to get women. Then they lose the sale because they are focused on the wrong things. Focus…

Wouldn't the "red pill" approach to your comment be "I really don't give a fuck what you think about my choice in instrument? So fuck off?" It's not the instrument that was the problem here. I don't give a fuck if dude is really into finger painting. That shit makes you happy? Cool. Do you. Sometimes the end goal of doing something doesn't have to be lead an orchestra or win the olympics. And that's okay.

I agree and am glad someone pointed it out. I think this also applies to field reports and the AWALT opinions, though this may be a frowned upon opinion in this sub. If you don't care about rejection as red pill teaches, then by the same selection bias the women you write about in a field report is probably more apt to act the way you expect. Hence the AWALT opinion. Those fifteen women you were rejected by or whom you rejected may not fit your predetermined notions of how women act. Maybe they …

Condescending tone notwithstanding, you missed the point. Obviously YMMV, but here was my thought process. If your thermo book said "heat transfer is cool and you can solve a ton of problems by analyzing a system" and just had some examples of studies done on power generation systems that highlight the need for analysis, you'd be left with less than useful knowledge if your goal was to be able to perform said analysis. I dunno. I think the four hour workweek is probably just as gimmicky as the four hour body. I think ferris is just a good marketer, but he fails to really offer anything that is new and worthwhile. I mean, what works is progressive overload and caloric intake (in b4 the human body is complicated and it's not as simple as CICO). That's it really. And no gimmicky book is going to help you get there any faster. Also, wasn't a fan of the power of habit. It was similar to the power of now in that it …
