Active listening too. If you actually listen to what the person is saying and develop a genuine interest in them, its a lot easier to ask questions.

Issue is when they don't say anything until after. I remember I was at the club one night, and I met a cute gal out with some of her friends. Me and her got to chatting, did some dancing, a little grinding and eventually we got to making out. Wasn't until after we made out that she told me "btw I have a husband" lol. Told her have a nice night.

Id almost say the ability to talk about nothing is the ability to flirt. Also body language. Everybody's got their own form of flirting though so you have to figure it out for yourself.

Well… you didn’t answer my question lol so that tells me you would. I said word for word "So yea, I would, but it's not just black and white." My question is 100% binary LMAO!!! It is yes, but like I said, the answer isn't as binary as you're making it out to be. There's multiple factors. A platonic relationship is just that. A platonic relationship Exactly. As soon as sex comes into the relationship, it's no longer a friendship. Now it's FWB, a situationship or whatever you wanna call it but th…

Considering the friendships have been ongoing for years now, I'd say a long time. You're completely ignoring that people are capable of returning favors as well. So yea, I've forgotten my wallet, but then next time we go to the movies it's on me. I get the impression that the concept of mutual respect is being washed under the door here. But that question isn't as binary as you're making it out to be. Relationships are way more complicated than that. Are there mutual feelings? Would it complicat…

I'd have to respectfully disagree. What you're describing isn't a gender problem—it's a people problem. If someone gives more than they get and ends up resenting it, that’s on them to re-evaluate the dynamic or step back. It’s not on the other person to repay some unspoken emotional debt. Offering something only in the hopes of eventually “getting something” in return isn’t friendship—that’s manipulation. Personally, I’ve got multiple female friends and we all get along great. We go camping, clu…

Find something you enjoy and go to events. For some people that's clubbing, others that's group hikes. After that, you gotta put yourself out there and talk to people

Sounds like there's a serious disconnect from your future going on right now haha. I'm in the same boat. Things like buying a house or finding a girl and starting a family don't really seem to interest me. Go to the library and see if there's a book that catches your interest or maybe see if there's some documentaries on netflix. I think learning new things is a great tool that lots of people overlook in terms of mental health. It reignites curiosity and even gets you out of the house. Learning …

Had a girl come up to me yesterday and asked for a drink. Bluntly told her no I'm not buying her a drink. But same thing she insisted and even went ad far as to say "let's arm-wrestle and whoever wins has to buy the loser a drink". It was pretty obvious her and her friends go to the gym so I was like sure why not haha. So I arm-wrestled her and won and then arm-wrestled both of her friends as well and won those as well. It was fun but they were still insistent I buy them drinks and I just told t…

Yea pretty much, could care less for keeping track of how many girls I've slept with. My answer is usually "Genuinely have no idea"

You're too focused inwardly. Shift your focus more outwardly and have a calm curiosity about people. "What do they do for work", "Where do they live", "Where would they like to live" "what would they like to do for work". Once your focus becomes more outward rather than inward, you won't be so worried about what you're going to say next.

Ask some friends. They're more common than you think. I'm from Canada and I swear 1/5 people I talk to has done them/still does. They've got shroom dispensaries in Vancouver and they're more packed then weed dispensaries lmao

Hey man, I got problems with my confidence too. But I've gone from having anxiety when talking to strangers to having no anxiety when talking to strangers. I started going out to bars and other social events alone and I'd do a little bit of magic mushrooms lmao. Magic mushrooms have pro-social effects to them, so when you go out you'll find it super easy to connect with people. I'm talking like a quarter to half gram. They've been proven to reduce social anxiety and are used for other therapeuti…

That mindset is more achievable when you're there for a good time vs talking to women. When you're there for a good time you inheritantly don't care if you're walking home alone or not. Hooking up is just the cherry on top. That also, ironically, makes it easier to talk to and approach women. Why would I care if she's interested in me or not? I'm having fun with or without other people. Anothet thing is if you're having a good time it makes you more emotionally attractive to women. I go to the c…

Yea it's definitely something I've picked up on. Last weekend we went to two clubs and the first one was a complete write-off. Playing Latino themed music, and it was a massive ego-fest. Everyone was standing around and dudes were puffing their chests. Me and my buddies were like "fuck this" and went across the street to this place where there was a band playing songs like Summer by Calvin Harris. Was having the time of my life in there and same thing, had some good success with the girls.

And get back out there. Hit some concerts, go on a weekend trip if you can, hang with friends, hit the beach or something if there's one nearby, hit some clubs and dance a little if that's your thing. My ex cheated on me like 3 months ago and it was all I could think about for like 2 fucking months. It was horrible. I started hitting the gym luckily when it first happened and now I'm looking pretty shredded but still the gym didn't really help me mentally I found. What I did do though is go on a…

I've done a couple different things haha but all my approaches were at clubs. I'll walk over and be like "straight up, you're kinda cute", or "hey, what your name?" or if I see some girls looking like they're having a blast and just vibing I'll smile and say "love it!" haha Probably approached like 20 girls or so this weekend, made out with 2, brought 1 home and went for the kiss on another but got the cheek. But the biggest thing is just enjoying your own company and vibing. Get a drink or two …

As I said early on in the post my self-esteem has been low due to the the relationship I got out of awhile back. If a girl doesn't want me that's not the end of the world. Just means she isn't interested. I've been turned down before or turned the cheek and could've gotten all butthurt but I'm more glad that at least I went for it then never knowing. You're absolutely right about learning to appreciate and value myself before anything and that's a work in progress. Isn't going to happen overnigh…

Psychedelic's in general can be pretty eye opening. There's a lot of interesting research going into them and how they can alter how the brain thinks.

I mean you're absolutely right. For long term relationships there's a lot more depth to it but in terms of short term dating strategies the reality of the fact is that people literally seek emotional highs. I think in general there's a lot of factors going into play as to why the things are the way they are, especially being younger and the current dating scene. I'd say a massive part of it being entertainment. There's probably a connection to be made somewhere there but it's all hypothetical ha…

Agree with the "it's gotta be smooth part", yesterday I was driving home and a cute girl was using the cross-walk while walking her dog so I had to stop and wait. Rolled my window down and I was like "I like your dog, is that a blue-heeler?" Convo lasted 5 mins, grabbed her snap and we went on our way haha

Sounds like an ego problem. Either make yourself more attractive or keep fantasizing over women that aren't interested. Attraction isn't debatable. People either find you attractive or they don't.

I'm the polar opposite and just absolutely despise texting. It feels like a chore to me no matter who it's with. I'll go days on end without sending a single message and then all I'll text is "hey, let's do something if you're free later". Imo social media (texting included) has completely ruined what a relationship is on any level. Be it friendships, flings, an actual relationship etc etc. Texting wasn't even a thing back before 1992 and before 2007 it wasn't popular either. Before texting, int…

Being yourself IS good advice imo but what it actually means is overlooked. Becoming some anxiety stricken wuss just because you're talking to a woman isn't being yourself. Thinking to yourself that if you say/do certain things with the premise that it'll get you laid isn't being yourself. Stop focusing so much on how much vagina you get and a little more on what's actually important to you. You'll stop giving a fuck about how often you get laid all together. 90% of the guys on here become so en…

Don't let that tear you down man. There's a lot more to life than whether or not other people like you. I was talking to this 60y/o fellow yesterday actually. I was out riding my bike and I seen he had a harley and decided to spark some conversation. He told me about how he's been to Cuba, Maui, the caribbean, he bought his bike in the spring, he likes to fish etc etc. all while not being in a relationship. Only thing holding you back is yourself my man. Go get yourself out there and start doing…

I'd say mental game is more important than anything. Once you're comfortable with yourself and can find enjoyment despite being 'alone' women will start coming in. If I had to guess you're trying too hard/subconciously coming off as needy. You're coming on here asking "why can't I pull women but this guy can" and truthfully why does it matter so much to you if you can or can't? Not saying there's anything wrong with that because that's why this subforum exists but it's food for thought.

Turn off your phone, go to a different city for the weekend with your buddies and party it up. Have some fun and meet some people. Chances are social media isn't helping you whatsoever and turning off your phone will help with creating some distance. You're too emotionally invested in someone that isn't on the same page as you and it's gonna keep picking away at you until you create some space or pursue someone else.

And find some hobbies and some nice clothes. From what i've noticed, getting women really isn't as deep as it's made out to be on here

Yea I've noticed a similar pattern as well with just saying what's on your mind ahah, especially if y'all are banging it off or having a good time together On multiple occasions I've just said bluntly "Wanna cuddle" "Wanna make out" "Wanna smash" Or whatever it might be and 95% of the time it leads to a big smile and a "yes" And if it's a "no", well now you know

Bought a motorcycle, I don't have anyone to ride with so I started doing things I want to do alone. Such as checking out new restaurants, going out of town for the weekend etc etc. I found that it made me significantly more confident in my independence.

What makes you think they're actively avoiding eye contact with you? Are they nervous? Scared? Shy? Intimidated? Creeped out? Distracted?

It depends imo, I was talking to a girl a while back and long story short I met her on tinder, she wanted to hook up, but I was busy and wasn't all that interested so I never hit her up. This was last year. I was bored a couple weeks back and hit her up on her ig profile and noticed she had a bf. So I asked: "you've got a bf now?" "Yah, why?" "I had a recent business opportunity and never took you up on it ahah" I sent a screenshot of our tinder conversation, we had a good laugh and now a week l…

Think of it like when you're walking along the street and someone going the opposite direction makes eye contact with you, smiles and you give them a "hey, how's it going". Same thing. It's more of an acknowledgement and you take the conversation from there.

A calm demeanor, smiling, eye contact, and teasing go a long way 👍 Emotional investment is also an important factor. Too much can come off as desperate which is a turn off.
