USA, mandating guys to register for selective service in order to be able to pay taxes(and be identified overall).(not to mention court practices. Divorce cases. Statistics indicate that judges would prefer in 80% of cases defend mother even if the ones rights should be defended is the father) Myanmar - same as ru/Ukraine UAE - has conscription. Probably only in Russian(but can give summary in eng) about Russian and Ukrainian armies... And the thing is that they have no female mandatory servitude whatsoever(only male)... Not sure if relevant... But I heared about quite interesting cases in US at this matter... But I cannot trust my sources that time(but you can explore there. There are a lot of complain videos on YouTube, some might have sources attached)

I haven't had issues with that personally(likely I was always concerned about my personal privacy and stood for it well), but I've seen a lot of families or overall things done with kids around me that violated male privacy in favor of girl-offsprings(like girl getting spare room and being spoiled or in a camps males together in 4 people per room, while girls had 2 per room. I myself used to be on the lucky few times side to not get treated like other boys, just because I communicated with girls…

I mean. I usually do not see any difference in communication, but when the government pressures you because of gender and helps your friends on the same basis - you feel dead... I had to enroll to uni instead of having gap year(to not be conscripted) as girls can have(I feel really dead and exhausted), I had then to move out of country and now be concerned not to be departed(not likely tho in my case, but still a lot to take in, yk?)... It's just feels really unfair...

I'd state that Russia has conscription itself, so that's a problem. Tho carribian countries(located near USA) do not have conscription... Japan is near Russia(and there is some kind of conflict between thouse two(ik that Japan's population is bigger then Russian)) and has wayyy smaller self-defense force(seem to be doing fine).

There were studies in Russia about it. The conclusion was that removing conscription would able to invest way more in professional army. And this would only boost cumulative efficiency of army. Why they didn't remove it? Well, they promised to do it 16 years ago and that's it for now. Maybe it was too much invested into conscription already, might be something else....

In the internet (everywhere but reddit) I have pretty girlish account and first appearance as a girl. Chat always in gender neutral form. Also know men who does the same. It just makes things way simpler. Why???? I also had time when I had to look like a girl irl to not be randomly conscripted into millitary on the street.

As a 5 and 8 guy.... And trained martial arts whole life..... I am afraid of drunk women at night... (jk. Not only of women) I walked through the İstanbul none-touristic part at night with fear... Same when I am in tiny towns/cities/villages. Would not want to experience this again. Tho... Never seen this statement to be specifically related to women

We do. The problem - in the country that I'm leaving now and the country which has war with it the government censoures it all. Also we have to secretly gather in telegram with lot of verification thingies but still members oftenly get arrested for their thoughts which have leaked to the government. Also.... Remember protest against military serving in Israel? From pictures there were not much women at all.

They protest about draft when it enforces(not to the compulsive millitary registration for-men-only that you have in US).... Seems like the same as protests for abortion when government enforces compulsory impregnation.... So there is some unbalanced shit over there... And not a small amount

In different countries there are different constitutions... For example there is specific writen exception for millitary service for men in Russian constitution.(tho there is a paragraph about equal rights and obligations, but it has ******g exception for men to serve in millitary compulsively). In Turkish, I believe, too.....

There is conscription-only-for-men present in lot of countries(most of post-ussr+asian, such as Taiwan and Korea)..... In some where not present - only men have to be registered for millitary accounting(USA is example).... I guess.... Till this exists... We would not see obligation equalization in any terms.... I mean.... Even if rights are equal(they are clearly not in most cases)... Most of countries oblige men to do more...

Draft and conscription could not be a solution.... I mean... You could use same amount of resources to motivate them to fastly invent/produce something..... And this something would give more benefits in war then just sending them there. Even if "the enemyes"(there are enemies for who? For goverment. Not for the people....) are close. Most goverments somewhy position themself higher then people.... While they should not

I'm in fact worried of a regular draft.... And morely of the accounting system. Just... 3rd month I'm ignoring them. Beforehand they asked me to come to them twice a month for 6 hours(ended up usually in about 6 hours. Of they do not say the time you would spend there). That day you can really do nothing. And I was under a huge stress few weeks before and after the days. I completely lost the sleep. Now I ignore them. It still does not let me study 90% of the time... And I can do nearly nothing …

The problem that I am constantly thinking of conscription and it is the reason that not let's me study. So imagine. You watching math analisys. You trying to conspect. End up with halfly thought through plan of blowing up the conscription facility.... And no conspect on the topic... Tho, some of my friends runned away from Ukraine at the start of whole thing(they were granted with refugee status. I cannot get it tho, cuz of Russia.)

Even worse. Even if you shot yourself they would not let you out. There is one guy, who got conscripted to the army. Fighted for a while(2 years), got some awards and then got melanoma(skin cancer. one of the most aggressive types of cancer.). Three weeks. They still do not let him out. It is just the most redicolus case. And not the only. Bunch of lawyers work for his life. Lot of simular cases for conscripted through the "regular" draft. And! Even if you get shot - you still have to be on the …

It is obvious thing.... But fighting against special police orders would not be easy. And... There are cases when goverment catches you in the friendly-to-it countries. I really want to move out and have a bit of money for it(1-3 thousand euros on a kyrgyz bank account). But I need a plan....and a backup plan...

Yes, Canada is one of the best places to go, but how..... I mean... For emigration you need to have visa, money stream(job or other source of income). Visa is a solvable problem, but Russia can arrest your money if you would not notify in person the millitary facility before leaving(and after few years) that does not accept any notifications now. And where could I find a job in Canada...? (not every job provides with work visa and if not...how to get the long term visa without huge investments?)…
