I keep thinking about moving to a flip phone because I waste so much time with my smartphone... but the smartphone is so useful too. Driving directions, podcasts, bunches of other minorly useful apps.

What about social media impact on men?

None of this invalidates my point. In fact, what you are saying agrees. There are more skills than multi-tasking that determines your success. I recommend a little less time on the video games, a little more time reading/improving yourself. My point should have been obvious to you.

No I don't, I have shit to do. I don't understand the relevance of your second question.

Not saying your point is wrong, but both of those are bad examples. 1 - Almost everyone who plays starcraft is a male, so most likely the best players will be male. In addition, there are more skills than multi-tasking that determine if you succeed. 2 - This isn't even an example of multi-tasking. This is just high work capacity. He very likely focuses on one thing at a time, then focuses on the next thing.

Agreed. We're saying the same thing. The only thing I'm saying is some girls are less likely to jump ship and will wait it out longer, etc. But I agree, enough beta for long enough and they all will.

What? I'm not exactly sure what you're saying? Are you suggesting all women will leave you eventually? If that's what you're saying, just go outside. There is evidence everywhere that's not true.

Right, if you want to maintain a great relationship you have to be the best version of yourself. But there are some women who will stick through rough, even bad times without leaving/cheating. Some won't. I'm just saying it's better to try and find one who will. I know that's obvious, but I pointed it out to note that there are better women out there.

Ah, it does sound like you have some things to work on. Athol's Mindful Attraction Plan will be exactly what you need if you want to keep the relationship going.

I've been there man, almost exact situation. I didn't even stop improving myself, I just let some areas go a bit while focusing and getting better in other areas to achieve some goals I have. There's only so much energy to go around. I'm not sure that you really fucked up. You just found out what you have. There are women who won't do things like this, and will actually be committed to the relationship (to a greater extent than this at least). Find one of those. If you're curious and want to do …

I think the problem isn't feelings, it's letting feelings (which are notoriously fickle) run your life. For example, a girl can feel shitty for a short period of time about an otherwise great relationship and then do something to ruin it. Often to the detriment of their future happiness.

Go to married red pill (good for any LTR), buy Athol Kay's books (Mindful Attraction Plan first). But really, if you have to feel paranoid to always be "on top of your game" I might just move on and find a new person. You always want to be bettering yourself of course, you just don't want to have to feel paranoid in a relationship. Or never able to have a down period. But maybe you aren't bettering yourself. Your post just comes across as paranoid. I may be mis-reading.

My first thought after reading this thread - why would anyone willingly subject themselves to all of the politics and bullshit? Then I remembered it's my life on a daily basis. Seems like working for yourself or freelancing of some sort would be ideal. Something not in a corporate environment.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
