The basis of this person’s argument is a deeply flawed interpretation of feminist history. In other words, there’s a hell of a lot more context that is being left out on purpose. I personally think this person’s spouting nonsense.

Why would it be a bad thing to be like other girls?

You really don’t have to “debunk” guys like him, because it’s really simple and obvious. It’s a grift and an ego trip. Besides, wouldn’t it make more sense to hear advice from actual women?

You’re on the right track. But sexualization isn’t necessarily a bad thing. It’s sexual objectification that is demeaning. The Sexy Lamp Test is a good way to learn the difference.

Literally everything -pill is bullshit, so just teach yourself to reject that mindset entirely. It’s nonsense. Go find some 100-level sociology study guides and start from there. Then read up on Michel Foucault’s work if you really want to start learning.

The semantics aren’t the point. People don’t foster relationships through looks.
/r/ExRedPill29/12/24 07:26 PM

There was no “good” interpretation. What you’re saying literally reinforces -pill bullshit and is harmful. As a woman I advise you fuck off.

How can looks “matter quite a lot” but “not in the long run?” You literally just defeated the point you thought you were trying to make.

Clearly this guy was doing something to get those girls’ attention. Or maybe he’s got one of those charming, sociable personalities. How were they interacting? Did he buy them drinks or something? That’s what works. Looks are secondary.

/r/ExRedPill14/10/24 01:16 AM

Having anxiety about seeing someone is normal. Everyone has those feelings at some degree. The thoughts you’re describing are exactly what redpill bullshit is designed to make you believe. None of that is normal. It’s cult language.

22

This was a legitimate discussion for several decades, at least in academia
/r/ExRedPill09/10/24 12:29 AM
8

More people have become comfortable expressing it, along with other bigoted views
/r/ExRedPill09/10/24 12:27 AM
2

This is pretty easy. You are assuming every man and every woman find the same traits to be attractive, and at the same degree. Your friend is assuming every woman reacts the same way to someone they find attractive. I promise you, your height really isn’t that big of a deal. There are women who love shorter guys, but for the most part nobody cares. The people that do care aren’t the people you wouldn’t want to date in the first place.
/r/ExRedPill05/10/24 06:16 PM
2

Good luck! Having solidarity is important. 🤗
/r/ExRedPill28/09/24 12:33 AM

Again, I’m going to point you towards LGBTQ+-centered resources to start. Join subreddits, seek out local communities in your area, check out the Trevor Project, etc. You’re much more likely to find people who can relate to your experience and can offer advice.
/r/ExRedPill27/09/24 09:26 PM
1

Like swiping right on every profile and making plans to hook up with every single match on a dating app. Going to a bar/club and picking up anyone who pays attention. You can technically gain the experience you think you’re missing, but you’re much more likely to run into creeps, randos, and people who turn out to be horrible but are good at hiding it. I made similar mistakes when I was younger. I ended up in several abusive relationships. The more important thing is finding community that under…
/r/ExRedPill27/09/24 08:53 PM
2

The thing is, you can. But you don’t want to engage in risky behavior just so you can mark it off a checklist. That’s the easiest way to end up in really bad situations. There are too many people out there willing to take advantage of someone vulnerable. Seek out LGBTQ support groups and reach out to places like the Trevor Project. They will be much more helpful to you and your journey.
/r/ExRedPill27/09/24 01:52 PM

It’s all good, you’re learning from this.
/r/ExRedPill21/09/24 04:24 PM

That’s a faulty generalization, my dude.

I literally have no idea what the fuck you’re talking about
/r/ExRedPill20/09/24 06:09 PM

You have to get this whole “Chad and Stacy” thing out of your head. This is not how the world works, it’s cult language.
/r/ExRedPill20/09/24 05:09 PM

If you talk to him again, ask him why he supports a loser who stares directly into the sun during a solar eclipse.

Awesome job!
/r/ExRedPill08/09/24 04:57 PM

Learn to accept having prior partners as a simple fact of life. Your high school sweetheart chose to move on to someone else, and her relationship worked out for her. It had nothing to do with either of your histories. This whole mindset is only going to make you feel worse about yourself.
/r/ExRedPill06/09/24 07:20 PM
27

The entire premise of your argument is flawed. You are assuming another person has what you consider to be “better” traits. The reality is you have no idea who’s behind the screen and what their life is like. ETA: Andrew Tate is a fucking loser.
/r/ExRedPill06/09/24 05:43 PM

Because relationships aren’t built on looks. If you’re insecure about your appearance, people can tell. How you carry yourself determines the kind of attention you draw.
/r/ExRedPill05/08/24 08:04 AM
3

Oh I read your comment thoroughly. Again, you are missing the point. You can’t determine whether someone’s “let themselves go”, especially a stranger. You have no idea what their life was like before you laid eyes on them. You don’t know whether they have a medical condition, or overcame a personal struggle with addiction, etc. It’s one thing to decide if a person is attractive, but ranking looks on a scale doesn’t work. It’s always subjective. Someone might have the features that many people fi…
/r/ExRedPill03/08/24 03:08 PM
5

You’re completely missing the point. There is no such thing as a “3” because you can’t measure attractiveness or “potential” that way. You also don’t know what her life was like before you met her, so you can’t argue she “let herself go.” She made some lifestyle adjustments and changed her looks, and that is drawing positive attention because it’s boosting her self esteem. So more people find her attractive, no doubt. But reframe your mindset.
/r/ExRedPill03/08/24 07:46 AM

Whatever the number is, it’s not something to brag about.
/r/ExRedPill03/08/24 05:51 AM
14

Okay let’s run down a few points here: You can’t quantify attractiveness. There is no universal scale of 1-10. It sounds like you feel insecure compared to your friends. Maybe they’re more outgoing and you’re more shy and reserved. (Honestly that’s the vibe I’m getting from reading your post). Have you talked to your friends and asked for their advice? They should help you out, y’all be each others’ wingmen. I would say it’s generally not a good idea to tap on a girl’s shoulders, it’s a bit awkw…

Yet another reason Redpill is garbage. Of course we want to know. That’s part of being in a relationship. We want a partner to be able to trust us and feel safe expressing their feelings.

That still doesn’t negate the fact that you can’t assign a quantifiable value to those traits. Blue eyes and brown eyes. Blonde hair and red hair. Accents. Religious beliefs. Views on having kids. Those things can’t be measured with numbers. All of those are common traits people look for.

You can start by cutting that redpill bullshit out of vocabulary. Using sex workers is a choice, but you don’t seem mature enough to handle it. You’re probably better off talking out your issues to a sex therapist rather than Reddit.

Toxic redpill shit will convince you vulnerability is a sign of weakness. It’s actually a sign of strength. Your girlfriend is probably concerned that you don’t feel comfortable opening up to her. Please look into therapy if you’re not already going. It will help you so, so much with sorting out your feelings.

That’s not how debating works. I don’t need to know or give a shit about this particular account because redpill isn’t something most people are familiar with, nor should they be. Redpill is a rabbit hole of bullshit targeted at young men who struggle with their self esteem and meeting women. Now you can tell me - a grown woman - why I should give a fuck.
/r/ExRedPill22/12/23 11:21 PM

/r/ExRedPill20/12/23 07:13 PM

Yeah I had a very similar experience to you at that age. It was horrible, but not exactly -pill stuff. You’re completely spot on. For as much as these guys like to crow about being “logical,” literally none of the -pill ideology is rooted in fact.

Okay. Good starting point, did anyone say why?
/r/ExRedPill19/12/23 10:01 PM

You don’t need “charm.” All you need is to be kind, friendly, sincere, and upfront with your intentions. But also remember not to expect anything. If you’re interested in someone and they don’t seem to reciprocate, that’s okay. I know autism can make it harder sometimes. I have ADHD and it took me a really, REALLY long time to figure out how to get it wrong. And I still get it wrong sometimes. I’m sure I’ve been the most awkward date many guys have had. But building up confidence helps. You gott…

This is a “live and learn” moment. You lived it, and you learned why redpill doesn’t work. And that’s a good thing! Keep your head up. Now that you’re starting to recognize what not to do, just keep trying to do better. It may get awkward sometimes, but that’s okay. As long as you are kind, sincere, and respectful, that’s what really matters.

Exactly. Doesn’t it sound silly to listen to a bunch of random guys tell you what women want? It’s utter nonsense if you think about it.
/r/ExRedPill01/12/23 02:45 PM
3

It’s very, very easy to disprove. Why? Because literally nothing in redpill is based in actual logic or common sense. You cannot make absolute truth out of something subjective (level of attractiveness).

Andrew Tate is a loser and charged with serious crimes against women. What he preaches is predator bs and that’s why he promotes going after younger women who may not know better. You are correct when it comes to those large age gaps.
/r/ExRedPill28/10/23 05:27 PM
1

I felt the exact same way you did when I was younger. As I mentioned I didn’t have my first kiss until I was 19. Though my experiences eventually turns out differently, I was what most people considered a “late bloomer.” And that is okay. honestly, there are a lot of people who make stupid, risky, and even life threatening decisions when they were younger. There are tons of women out there who also feel the same way you do. You’re not alone.

I’m telling you this as a woman who was once in your shoes.
/r/ExRedPill21/10/23 11:05 PM

I don’t mean to be harsh, but that’s teenager logic. The good thing about adulthood is that most normal sane people don’t care about body counts. The ones that do are not people that you would want to be around. And I say this as someone who had never even kissed until the age of 19.
/r/ExRedPill21/10/23 11:00 PM

How old are you?

/r/ExRedPill09/10/23 01:30 PM
2

If redpill were that mainstream, wouldn’t everyone know what it was?
/r/ExRedPill09/10/23 01:28 PM
7

Redpill wasn’t a concept invented by women. Unless you’re referring to the original red pill from the Matrix films, which is a completely differently subject.
/r/ExRedPill09/10/23 01:27 PM
4

This is really disheartening to read from another woman.
/r/ExRedPill09/10/23 01:25 PM
2

Where are these beliefs coming from? Did someone tell you these things? Did religion play a role? Or your upbringing?
/r/ExRedPill09/10/23 01:24 PM

No. The point is for OP to not be overwhelmed and to avoid rushing to respond. That’s not “playing games.”
/r/ExRedPill08/10/23 07:41 PM

Just let the communication flow naturally. Give yourself extra time to focus on something else for a little while as a distraction and try to match her response rate. Like if she takes about ten minutes to respond, reply back in 15-20.
/r/ExRedPill08/10/23 07:16 AM

Redpill is nonsense. The people that preach redpill are losers. If redpill worked, everyone would know what it is.
/r/ExRedPill06/10/23 07:32 PM
1

Redpill =/= “pick me”. As I said it’s an apples and oranges comparison.
/r/ExRedPill04/10/23 10:52 PM
10

“Pick me”s have existed well before redpill. There’s a laundry list of reasons behind this, but it’s an apples and oranges comparison to redpill. Girls have the benefit of going through a period where we are taught how to deal with our emotions and self-esteem issues. It’s a huge part of coming of age that is constantly reinforced in our culture (books, teen magazines, movies). Think about it: what’s the male equivalent of Mean Girls?

3

Easy, buddy. There’s a lot to unpack here.
/r/ExRedPill29/09/23 12:30 AM
21

It’s by design. The whole point is to use terminology that sounds logical, while still reinforcing self-esteem issues.
/r/ExRedPill27/09/23 06:23 PM
6

Where are you getting these “percentages” from?
/r/ExRedPill27/09/23 02:27 PM
23

Your best weapon is actual academic research. If you’re a student, your school should have access to JSTOR or something similar. Or try your nearest library. Don’t confuse subjective terms like “top tier” with fact. Opinions and preferences are not the same for every person. There is no universal standard of attractiveness because everyone has different preferences. 2a. There are common physical traits that many people find attractive, but that does not mean it is “wrong” to not have these trait…
/r/ExRedPill27/09/23 02:25 PM
4

Literally everything “redpill” is nonsense garbage made up by someone who either never saw the Matrix or completely missed the point of the movie.
/r/ExRedPill22/09/23 11:55 PM
2

None of those statements are based on fact. They’re used as a trick to get you to obsess over your biggest insecurities. The redpill is made up nonsense.
/r/ExRedPill16/09/23 09:52 PM
1

If you’re only looking on Tinder, that’s like being upset you haven’t found the love of your life at your nearest bus stop. How many people live on this planet?
/r/ExRedPill15/09/23 01:24 PM

The simple answer: There wouldn’t be a market if there wasn’t demand. That’s what they’re choosing to do to make some money and it works for them. Glad you learned from this experience. Also be careful not to conflate the idea of what “everyone always says” with “things constantly repeated in redpill subculture.”
/r/ExRedPill13/09/23 05:37 PM
8

Most women don’t know wtf redpill is (tbh I barely understand the concept). But the mentality behind it and the language being used is very, very toxic. How do these guys treat their partners? What is the age gap between them? How do they meet? If they’re getting together because the “redpilled” guy wants to “feel like an alpha”, I guarantee that relationship is a nightmare. You do not want to be in that situation, I promise.
/r/ExRedPill13/09/23 05:16 PM
2

“Show for” what? Who’s asking?
/r/ExRedPill13/09/23 05:09 PM

Isn’t that proof redpill doesn’t make sense? Why would you want to belief in something that makes you feel worse? It’s total nonsense.
/r/ExRedPill13/09/23 05:08 PM
2

You’re rushing to conclusions about your own appearance based on a nonsensical belief system. That is not at all what this class was teaching. Evolutionary biology is much more broad than that, and what your coursework is describing as “biologically attractive” is not a judgment against any particular individual. If anything, it should prove how much redpill doesn’t make any sense. Your friend’s behavior sucks and isn’t feminist.
/r/ExRedPill12/09/23 01:02 PM
2

Try a completely different approach: there are so many legitimate mental health professionals that offer free services via social media. YouTube is full of this kind of content. You can also try guided meditations that help you focus on your self esteem. Here’s an old favorite.

That’s kind of like asking if every restaurant offer the exact same menu. Women are people. Everyone has different preferences, but that does not determine your worth as a person. Preferences are a reflection of that person, not you.
