I must confess, I am concerned about what preceded this video? What crime was she suspected of committing? Why was the officer stopping/detaining her? There is not enough info here to determine if this is profiling and police brutality or racial/gender attempts to avoid a deserved trip to the pokey. Need more data to process this event correctly...

Well, I was going to ask which state, in re good state schools and in-state tuition, but that's probably not a concern. Please, steer them to STEM and business; we have enough lawyers, actors and baristas already....

Then you need to develop a good relationship with an automotive machine shop. You can port heads yourself to save money, or use a ball hone to clean up a cylinder bore, but the machine shop can do things you can't, like bore, surface and line bore a block (AFTER crack checking/magnafluxing), surface a cylinder head, install cam bearings, etc. I have been building Mopar engines for 40 years, BTW. Community colleges can have hands-on courses for transmission rebuilding, transaxle and rear axle reb…

Correct. Money is a concept, invented shortly after humanity discovered agriculture and tamed animals, because it's a pain in the ass to drag sheep around with you; it is an agreement that "something" will be used to represent goods and services, and it's easily portable and recognizable. Gold/silver/jade/obsidian/salt have all been used as currency. It's the arrival of "floating" currencies, derivatives, inflation/deflation, and other means that have been used to devalue your savings/investment…

"Martha Stewart in prison; it's a good thing". Oh, and the lesson learned from her fate is simple - don't talk to cops, especially federal agents. Anything you say can and WILL be used against you...

I give you a line from a Stallone movie: "All restaurants are Taco Bell..." Edit: what is being said, referencing your above comment on restaurants, is that being in one bad restaurant is your clue that AWALT, eventually all restaurants will go bad on you, i.e. taken over by Taco Bell, which I am sure we can all agree is not a good restaurant. The line is from the movie Demolition Man.

Have you tried turning up the volume on the radio to drown out the noise? Tech tip; if you get a powerful enough sound system, it can mask very loud noises. Bill Burr https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rksKvZoUCPQ Go to about 3: 30 for the sound tips.

Simply pointing out and emphasizing the ludicrousness of her viewpoint and critique, when she knew damn well I knew what I was doing and she couldn't do it as well. Women love to do that to us; wind us up just to prove they can.

Oh yeah. I remember building a play set in the back yard for my first son; he was maybe 4 years old. Bought the kit from Lowe's, and then modified it to include a cable supported bridge. Laid it all out on graph paper, measured twice, cut once, and was assembling the components when my wife and one of her friends came outside with their coffee and started telling me all the things I was doing wrong. My BS is in structural engineering and at the time, I was Navigator/Operations Officer on a fast …

Only a matter of time until Putin decides to send the tanks in. Finland used to be full of tough people; they fought the Soviets to a standstill in the Winter War and during WWII. Simo Hayha, the White Death, the best sniper in history, had half of his face shot off and survived, FFS. He would be disgusted. Maybe it's all the radioactive reindeer meat?

Sadly, what percentage of draft age women AND men nowadays would fail an induction physical for obesity/diabetes, drugs (both prescription and illegal), mental disorders, and other disqualifying physical problems? The services are having a hell of time finding volunteers to recruit who can make it through basic; a draft would almost be an exercise in futility...

Tend to agree. One thing we all see is that women, on average, are terrible about hanging on to money, no matter what the source. This means that the money flows from the simp, to the woman, to the store where she buys her useless crap, and eventually to the pockets of the smart stockholders of corporations, where the few majority stockholders get the lions share. Women are just the vehicle for transferring wealth from simps to the financial elites.

I'm surprised nobody brought up the left's argument about sex workers being valid economic participants, and they can't do that without customers, can they? THEN, the economic argument becomes about the competition between single moms who aren't sex workers, and single moms who are sex workers, for the resources of the same pool of men. THAT would be fun to watch....

No. YOU are not projecting; THEY are. Women are projectors, men are screens - She projects an IMAGE of herself based on what she intuits you want to see. Then, she projects on you that nameless "perfect man" that exists in her head, and believes her own lies. At least for a while. If you are trying to get this across to young men, it helps to use the music example. Take the love songs sung by men about women over the years. Can you think of any letter of the alphabet (minus Q and X) that has not…

As I recall, the Marines were part of the draft system for WWII, Korea and the latter part of Vietnam. I don't think they are at this point, but that change is only the "stroke of a pen" away.

You say this as if it was a joke. When my dad was "courting" my mother in the mid-50's, her father bought a new electric coffeepot. Shortly thereafter, my dad was at their house in Revere, MA, and my grandfather told (in those days, the patriarch didn't "ask" his daughters to do things) my mother to make some coffee. She put the grounds in and plugged it in and turned it on. My dad was watching and said "Aren't you going to add the water?!". My mother turned and said "You don't need water, it's …

Seriously? You think you only pay 35%? I challenge you to keep track for one quarter. Remember that it doesn't matter if they call it a fee/surcharge/penalty/assessment/etc., it's still a tax. Every time you pay, look at the bill. Go online to see how much you pay (Fed/State/Local) on each gallon of gas/diesel. Look at your phone bills, power or gas bill, cable/internet, water/sewer/trash. Personal property taxes on your car/motorcycle. If you rent, ask your landlord what your part of the real e…

Absolutely. Businesses don't pay taxes; customers do. Taxation is part of "the cost of doing business", just like OSHA/EPA regulations and Fire Marshal inspections, etc.

True. You have to have very high ASVAB scores, make it through MMN, EMN, or ETN A school, Nuclear Power School and Nuclear Power Training Unit (prototype/MTS hands-on training), and Basic Enlisted Submarine School before reporting to the boat. Then you have to qualify in-rate on that plant as well as qualifying in subs and getting dolphins. It's not for the weak or stupid, and they are weeded out mercilessly along the way.

No. You never own it. The city/county owns it, and the land it sits on. Real estate tax is rent, and it never goes away like the mortgage does. The deed, when/if you get it, calls you a tenant, not an owner.

That depends on which area you are discussing; those few who go into Navy Nuclear Power training with only a BS come out with VERY valuable skills even before they get their Masters, while those who have a BS in Industrial Eng with a 2.5 GPA from a Podunk college wind up supervising the midshift at a canning plant in Des Moines for $50k/yr. Like anything else, there's a pretty big range of incomes for STEM grads. But yes, the basic skills acquired are far more useful than Art History...

Just remember, you never actually OWN a house or real estate; you just rent it. Even with no mortgage or HELOC payments and the "deed" in your hand, the house and land are actually owned by the local government, because real estate taxes are the rent, and if you fail to pay, a portly individual with a badge and gun will arrive to evict you from "your" house. Also, the mutant riding around town in a small car with "Code Enforcement " on the door is there to enforce the landlords rules for their p…

Nobody owns their home, even if the mortgage is paid off; whoever they pay real estate tax (RET) to, owns it. RET is the "rent" to the locality "landlord". Don't believe that? Don't pay, and see how long it takes until the deputy with a badge & gun shows up to kick you out of "your" home... Other that that, Chris Rock is hilarious, and at the same time accurate.
