Pretty sure women actually under taliban rule/sharia law would beg to differ.

The us has not been stripped of the right to terminate a pregnancy. It is now up to the states to decide—so everyone should be petitioning their local govt if this is something they care about. Only something like 13 states have banned it, and not entirely, there are exceptions in those states.

manyyyyyy women dont like casual sex for a variety of reasons that only pertain to them, and nothing to do with being shamed.

My partner is bald. Shaved his head before we started dating, when he started losing his hair. I find it really hot, but I’ve always had a thing for shaved heads/bald heads a la vin diesel. He also works out and has big muscles and a salt &pepper beard so that is a plus. I grew up with him and knew him when he had hair…he’s just as attractive now as he was then, to me.

I met a guy who used the "you were in my dream last night" line. when he sent it i screenshotted and texted it to all my friends and we got a good laugh. when my bartender coworker received the same message from the same guy a couple of weeks later i got another good laugh with her. OP's strategy reminds me of this.

The above poster said something so relevant that could be helpful to you in your position, or really anyone entering the dating world. think of what your standards are, the things you expect, the things you would like to see and feel, and then the things that are total deal breakers. your list may evolve, but hold your ground on the things you hold dear and don't be afraid to let someone go because they aren't meeting your standards. I also came from an abusive background and wish someone had to…

I'd say this is quite common among men and women. I'm in a relationship so don't use online dating, but it would appear that the majority of the participants are looking for casual sex. only an observation from the dating subs i peruse.

This is absurd. There is nothing she needs to be forgiven for, as she didn't do anything wrong. This man is controlling, jealous, immature, and I'd be slightly abusive for this type of behavior.

Why does he get to dictate your life in this matter? Please don't go back to him. I would bet this type of behavior escalates quickly if you do.

I say all of that to say, do not get disheartened! you have plenty of time to find a guy, vet them, and create the life you envision!

Oh my gosh the world is your oyster! I know typically in this sub the advice skews toward being on the younger side when you get married, but let me tell you, had I married any of the LTRs from my 20s and early 30s I would have divorced or been stuck unhappily for the rest of my life. I spent my early 30s doing a ton of work on myself, and building the life I was content with, just for me. Right around the time that I had become super happy with my achievements and my mental health (age 36) I me…

You're welcome! I have found that building small habits eventually end up in a big change. It may feel like you're just treading water for a while, but soon you will look back and see all the ways you are different now. I would also try a workout plan, do some research on bettering your diet, cut back on alcohol, and don't give up! It is super easy to fall back into unhealthy ways, but don't allow yourself to go there. Also, your mental health is super important. It seems like you've discovered …

With some intentional work and effort you can grow past this. I also didn't have much guidance growing up, and subsequently made some mistakes and did some things I am not proud of. When I finally saw the light and needed a change, something I found helpful was finding someone I could look up to. It can be someone you know personally, or someone you don't know, like a celebrity. Find someone who epitomizes the morals and values that you aspire to hold. Going forward, and I mean starting right no…

I am continually mind-blown at how many porn addictions are out there. I also cannot tell if this is something that was always there, or something i'm just seeing now that my eyes have been opened.

Not OP, but the part about lack of female role models pinged something within me. Though I have considered so many instances/issues/causes of my own trauma from my past, it never dawned on me that not having female role models, or really, positive guidance of any kind, shaped some of the "mistakes" I made as a young adult. Thank you for mentioning that, it resonated.

I think you’re fine! Plenty of comments suggesting that each person research for themselves! So glad you had a good experience!

Unfortunately, an "actual doctor" failed to inform me of potential risks, so I am voicing what happened to me. ETA: I'm saying all of this to promote one's own research...for anything medical. And otherwise, actually. Research is in one's own best interest.

It is not safe for everyone! There are absolutely risks of adverse reactions, as with any vaccine. It is a personal choice for each person to make.

Not to scare anyone, but it is advised to do your own research on this vaccine with regard to your body and how you react to other vaccines. I got the vaccine around 10 years ago, when it was first introduced, and it seemed to trigger an autoimmune response of vitiligo on my forehead, which will never go away. Also worth noting, prior to getting the vaccine I tested positive for a very mild strain of HPV and within 3 years my paps were coming up clean. So it is possible for your body, with a mil…

It is ok to have boundaries! You are setting boundaries about conversation topics and jokes of a particular nature and there is nothing wrong with that! When receiving pushback on a boundary that I have set I always like to remind myself that the people who do not respect your boundaries are people who gained something by you having none. When people make changes, positive or negative, it can be difficult for peers to recognize and respect that. Keep doing you and taking care of yourself and you…

You seem to be generalizing men, and at 22 I am not sure you have the eyes to even be able to make assumptions like this, especially if you've never been in a relationship. You'd be wise to exit the dating scene entirely and work on yourself. Build a life for you, assuming that you are to remain single. the right person will come along, and maybe not in the way you expect. you're so young...plenty plenty plenty of time.

Sure, but they can also have an unhealthy relationship with toys/masturbation/porn and that is what's being addressed.

I behaved like this in my 20s. As I got into my 30s I began to understand that this type of thing is very annoying to other people and rarely gets me the results I desire. I decided to start shutting my mouth. Seems simple, but it has taken a lot of discipline and practice. Once I was able to shut my mouth instead of immediately responding, I started learning how to respond appropriately. Now, I pause. Reflect. Respond. I feel so much more in control of myself. But its hard work!! You have to al…

When i was in my early 20s I had a big problem with jealousy of "pretty girls", even though I am considered an attractive woman. I say this for 2 reasons. 1. Once i addressed the root of my problems (went all the way back to childhood, dad issues/mom issues, rejection, abandonment) I was able to learn how to treat myself, and others, (with grace) and build my confidence and self esteem. 2. looks do not dictate mental capacity---everyone has their own struggle. As I mentioned, I am an attractive …

i own that i go for people in my league, and i feel that i am attractive. i don't consider it shallow, i consider it dating within range.

Lurker here, I am genuinely confused at recent posts, like this one. Why is it shallow to go for attractive guys, and not be interested in unattractive guys? I can't force myself to be attracted to someone that I'm just not attracted to. I don't feel that I'm shallow for that.
