I'd be more likely to reply "yeah, to bad I let down the team" and maybee feed in something later in the conversation to contradict that statement. I find chicks love this stuff as long as its put across as a joke and not self pitty.

I thought this at first but it's hard to strike a worth while 10 minute convo to really give an impression that makes someone want to talk more when they are at work, I feel this approach would be like going to a girl in a bar and asking her straight out for a number with no pre-conversation
