I just finished reading The Count of Monte Cristo. I'll have to check out that adaptation because I haven't seen any of the movies yet. The novel is also pretty RP.

I am in a similar boat. I'm content where I am now. Just content. I have a decent job that wasn't put in jeopardy by the stay-at-home orders, and I'm still pretty passionate about what I do, but not as passionate as I used to be. I've wanted to do something else in a completely different industry for a while now, I just don't know for the life of me what it is. The best solution I've had so far is attending networking events (also in short supply due to stay-at-home) to meet others who work in i…

For someone who talks about Rollo you seem to have completely skipped over the part where he covers hypergamy in The Rational Male. This should is nothing groundbreaking.

I don't have much to add since previous commenters have already said what I would have said, but congrats on the gig! It's refreshing to see an actual unique question in this sub for once instead of these thousands of dumb questions that could be answered by reading the sidebar.

Start investing for retirement now if you haven't started already. Use your employer's retirement plan benefit if they have one and if not look into standalone retirement plan options. Start lifting if you haven't already. Learn proper form so you don't get injured and delay your progress. Ego lifting is not sustainable in the long run. Stefan Molyneaux interviewed a guy who got rich off of the cam girl business a while ago. The interview pretty much echoes what other commenters here are saying if you don't want to bother watching, but it's an interesting watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DDUOJpk7FWQ

Don't get me wrong, it's pretty frustrating not being able to go to social events and practice game, but in a weird way I think this will be a good test for me (provided no one I care about gets sick): I've already been off porn for over a month. Now it's going to be a real test of willpower. I'm anything but a stoner, but I occasionally enjoy tripping acid once every few months. My dealer had already ghosted me before shit hit the fan, so I had considered just giving it up. Now I know I'm givin…

Yup. Four of my friends/coworkers who are all roommates together threw a St. Patrick's day party last night, two of whom have been coughing all day. I declined the invite and got some actual sleep for once. One of them literally just showed up now and said "I had waaay too much fun last night. I feel like shit now." I love the guy, but LOL.

If there's any time to clean and vacuum my house, it's now. Starting with the bathroom tonight, which is usually the easiest one to motivate myself to clean. Then my own room, shouldn't be too hard, just need to vacuum and throw some crap away. I have a new bed that's supposed to be delivered this Saturday so it has to be before then, but it wouldn't surprise me if they postpone the delivery due to the virus. Then wipe down the kitchen and living room followed by vacuuming and mopping the floor.…

If you think of this personality as "fake," you're already putting an obstacle in front of yourself. You'll be second-guessing yourself every time to the detriment of your game, which is probably why you say you feel mentally drained. Everyone acts different around others. The way you act with your boss is not the same way you act around your friends is not the same way you act around your parents is not the same way you act around strangers. My best answer is rather un-salacious: Lawmakers don't have much incentive to legalize it. It's not an issue that occupies current political discourse to any major degree, so why would a lawmaker bother with it if they have nothing to gain from it? They could also have a lot to lose from doing it as well. It could alienate socially conservative voters who think that it's a sin or whatever and legalizing it would mean that every man would suddenly go out and hire a hooker. If the lawmaker who int…

There's a lot more to college than sex. Those false rape claims? College feminists. Lack of scholarship opportunities for men? College feminists. Mandated "toxic masculinity" training? College feminists. I'm not trying to argue with you. All I'm saying is be very careful when you make your school choice.

Surprisingly not. I have seen that shit leading up to the election, but not now. I have seen a lot of hate toward Florida voters and those who voted third party. Actually, there has been shit against white people who voted third party saying it was white privilege to prevent Clinton getting elected since Trump's """racism""" wouldn't affect them. Most of the shit on third party voters was pretty fucking disturbing.

I just realized some parallels between the MRM and the "modern civil rights movement" (whatever you call this new Ferguson/Baltimore uproar) from this video: both groups consider themselves marginalized but don't do anything to improve their situations themselves. That said I didn't care for this guy trying to guilt his viewers into donating to his cause, nor do I think it was a wise way to get money from someone by criticizing them.

I'm usually a fan of A Voice for Male Students but this one had a few glaring flaws; namely it lacked any citations anywhere. That's not to say the points it made were false but it diminishes credibility for those who aren't already aware of what the author's talking about. The spelling errors didn't help, either.

Interesting. Seems like a real "he said, she said" situation regarding the allegations. Also, no lawyer but I'm not sure if unwanted crotch-grabbing falls under the category of "sexual assault" so if Otep's accusation is true, I'm not sure she would have many legal options against him if this was the only incident, which as far as we know it is.
