ABSOLUTELY. Been casually taking about how I wished for a male-only gym for probably 20 years. -when I was new & very young & scrawny, didn't want girls seeing me exercise because I was self conscious. -when I got super fit, I didn't want the boy/girl dynamic when I was trying to focus on being super fit. Loved the attention from women in those days, naturally, but NOT AT THE GYM. -in my 40s now, I don't like being distracted by hot young girls I shouldn't (and don't want to) look at. Feels awkw…

I get silly and play with random kids ALL THE TIME (42m) and I have done so as long as I can remember. Obviously don't physically touch them and make sure mom /dad is aware of the action, and you're basically fine

I really hope this isn't downvoted to hell not because I care about the votes of whatever, but because it's sincere, but I feel like a lot of you are going to disagree with me (which is fine and understandable; you're probably all pretty normal people unlike OP or seems, and unlike myself) so all you well-intentioned normies, prolly you'll just never get it. First, I feel you. I feel your loneliness. I really, really do. I'm a loser 10x what you are I would wager, and it's largely due to my own …

My young son is likely to be short (Latina wife, he takes after her physically) he's already smallest in his daycare I'm so f*cking worried for him. I grew up with a couple guys in the 5'5 - 5'8 range as adults, and really got to see their struggles. It's no joke at all. I have no advice, but I sure do feel for you. Sounds like you could use as much support as you can get, so there's mine.

Just checked out her twitter, read (skimmed) about 5 days worth, and I'm sorry but, What an Ignorant, Sexist Bitch. I really was just floored with a lot of it, tbh. And she's an A) doctor, and B) politician? Holy fudge, I'd be terrified if she were my family's doctor, and if just leave if I were anyplace that she held any sway or authority. Her poor sons.

Okay but, that's just hilarious, not only because it makes you want to cry and laugh at the same time, but also because you know 100% that whomever created it did so with absolutely no sense of irony. Amiright?

Leave leave leave no matter what fucking RUN, lest what has happened to me, happen to you, as follows... a copy/paste of my own comment on another thread: This post hits home. My fucking wife is doing little things that hurt our 2 year old daughter, not seriously, but still causing pain, and because she's got a history of violence it's really worrying me. A bit of background: we've been together over 7 years, and in the first two while we were dating, there were a handful of incidents of her getting violent while drinking that were WAY over the edge. Honestly I should have ran for the hills at the first whiff of violence, but what can I say? I was…

I love our country, and as much as it pains me to acknowledge the fact, our Yankee friend is correct that it (is becoming/has become) a socialist shit hole. Furthermore, I don't believe there is a single political metric by which any reasonable person could conclude that Trudeau is superior to Trump.

If you have that kind of scratch, hire a lawyer, form a trust, have the scholarship managed by the trust with the lawyer as the trustee. You can never be 100% how the courts will decide if it is challenged, but that way you may at least know that it will be managed in the spirit of your interests, which is all you can ask.

There is no shame in it; to the contrary, I would suggest caring for one's child(ren) could be something of which one may feel proud. Not only is it hard work, but what could possibly be more important?

That's pretty much how most men approach sex, and is exactly what I was trying to describe in my post- as you say, you prefer focusing on her pleasure. Also, I never said I don't care about the other person, what I suggested was if each person took care of themselves, and in doing so two people found each other who were satisfied in those means, that would define compatibility, under the terms I outlined. Anyhoo, those are just my thoughts, just putting them out there. Not trying to convert you …

I've found that my mind benefits from physical exercise more than my body. When I started, my goals were to look better; to not be insecure about my body; to attract women. Years later, none of those goals remain - Running achieves a mental state I can only compare to meditation, and after a long run, I feel so at peace with myself. My body is empty, all of my negative thoughts and emotion burned away by the same fire which has scorched my lungs, beaten to a pulp by the pounding of my heart, and I…

I've long found it interesting how men equate their whole sexual identity around pleasing women--a guy will brag about making a woman orgasm once or multiple times, even lie about doing so, even though it doesn't really benefit him at all. With casual sex/ random partners, it's even more bizarre when you think about it; you're likely not going to see that person again, so it's not like you can reap any future benefit upon future engagements with that person. A man's sexual self worth appears to …

Both seem to me to be fair comments. That said, one can generally walk away from religion at any time, and ear piercing, while certainly permanent, is not a major ordeal with long term ramifications. Neither of those two applicable parallels remotely compare with the definite harm and potential loss of life which may occur as a by product of circumcision.

Imma have to learn a little more about the incel community. What JP describes as "the crushing force of sexual selection" must often, it seems reasonable to assume, have an incredibly damaging effect on the human psyche, and given that we have roughly twice as many female ancestors as male (thanks again, JP) it stands to reason that men would bear the brunt of this. With that in mind, an incel community could be a hugely beneficial thing, though there are bound to be a few folks who go right off…

Yup, and absolutely yup. Get a shrink, go as often as you can. They're amazing. I can't afford right now, I wish I could. Helped so much. For me, it was the ONLY time I could really talk; a shrink is like a paid best friend, the only friend you can really, truly, 100% trust that nothing ever leaves the room, who just listens and asks nothing in return. Except money. Lots of money.

Fair enough- that may be true, for you, and for some others as well I'm sure. But as you say, you hear this expressed so often; it's probably a reasonable generalization for most people, although there are always bound to be exceptions. Generally speaking, when you see a bunch of "literally" and "actually" type words, it's both misuse and exaggeration. Kids are literally, actually, completely & absolutely the greatest love you will experience you in your life.

In my 20's I was really athletic and encountered the same on numerous occasions. BTW I'm straight, and it was women of all varieties and ages. I never made a huge fuss about it as I never felt like a victim, however I did point out the inequality were the shoe to be placed on the other foot. I view abortion as a personal choice. I happen to be pro life for myself, however I wasn't always, and there are certainly compelling arguments on both sides. Roe v Wade is a great read, from what I recall, and this thread makes me want to revisit it. That said, I feel rights and responsibilities should be universal. While I fully respect that where I live (Canada) abortion is legal, the rights associated are only afforded to women, yet the corresponding responsibilities are largely doled out to…

So common, in my life as well. Mom screaming at dad, slapping him, he raises his voice and ~boom~ cops called, dad hauled away. Happened twice. During the divorce, she ran off to a women's shelter with my sister and I (small children) to, you know, support her case. Pretty sure my dad never touched her, not once, not ever.

YES! Exactly. You're at their mercy. They get mad, maybe they slap you; ya you'll live but then you're in an argument and she's hitting you and there's nothing you can do. If you even try to talk reasonably it generally escalates things because she's mad already and not thinking clearly; call the cops and you're the one getting arrested more often than not; leave and go get a room, sure, spend some cash and miss your kids and then you have to have a long discussion about why you're bad when you …

Sometimes you can just not be in the mood. Maybe shit is happening in your life. I dunno. I recall even when I was a younger man being plenty sexually active and having beautiful girlfriends, but not being in the mood sometimes. And when you get older, that drive decreases, and honestly it's kind of a nice feeling when it decreases, not being a slave to your dick all the time lol, except when your wife is pressuring you for sex all the time.

Story of my life; isn't it the same for most/ all of us? I really couldn't count the times I've endured unwanted sex. It's in the hundreds, it's basically normal, for me at least. I didn't do right, but thanks anyways though. I could explain it away with entitlement and privilege, and if that were the only thing, I might. Did you read the part about excessive drinking? Angry disposition? That's not healthy stuff, and the thing with the girl, however trivial, was a manifestation of that. It's not the beef itself that's the problem so much as why & how it happened. It was two 10lb dumbbells, and there were more of the same, and hardly any male uses those dumbbells anyways. …

Thanks for your reply; I'll try and answer your question. Unlike the mind of a 35 year old, the mind of a 17 year old isn't fully developed, no matter how cool my Porsche may be. The 35 year old always has control. That's unfair, and in the interest of brevity & clarity : that is how, exactly, someone is being taken advantage of. If there are exceptions, they are rare. I think almost all men have suffered sexual assault and physical assault. I've had my ass grabbed by woman strangers at least 4 times I can remember, the first time I was maybe 15. I've been raped by a woman. I've been slapped or otherwise hit by, I would guess, ten female partners over my life when they were angry. I've never groped or struck a person, woman or man, with the exception of two fist fights at the ages of 10 & 13. Of course, I'm larger than the women who have hit me, however if the…

I've only skimmed over the emerging Louis CK issue, and it's my understanding based on what little I've read that he made offers to numerous women with whom he worked, or who were colleagues. Also, it's my understanding, which again may be incorrect, that these were just offers; he never coerced anyone or forced himself upon anyone. I am a parent, and I don't curse around my child, nor act flippant surrounding sexuality. It's odd to me that they are surprised; in light of how much we men do to try and satisfy our sexual needs via pornography, strip clubs, and prostitution, and the various risks we take in doing so, I would figure it would be obvious to women that men are mostly all undernourished in terms of sexual health & well being. I can't say we're starved, but we're thin, and the above mentioned outlets are a poor substitution for a great partner with whom one enjoys a great relationship & satisfying sex.

I'm sure that's also true for women that men are distracting, however I doubt women receive anything comparable in terms of hostility from male counterparts in the event they do glance in a man's direction, be it a result of distraction, or if they are simply using equipment unavoidably in line of sight. If it were just distraction and not the hostility, I'd probably feel as you do. In any event, it must be nice to at least have the option to have a women's only hour. At my gym, they have a whol…

For years I've been talking about how I wish there were a male-only fitness centre/gym I could go to. I couldn't count the number of times a woman was unavoidably in my line of sight while using a bench/machine/whatever and I've been subjected to dirty looks and occasionally rude comment for my so-called leering and ogling. On occasion, there will be a woman who I actually find attractive, and that's the worst of all; I have to very consciously avoid them not only for fear of repercussion should…

Forgive my stupidity, but precisely what is called censorship, which I have bought into? My opting not to vent negative emotions for lack of what I feel to be a safe forum?

I wouldn't call it a "female thing" because there's some great females out there (Karen Straughan thank you so much!) and I don't think all of them would necessarily like to be associated with #metoo. Unless you meant that only females were allowed to join in without fear of (real) harassment?

Then I certainly misunderstood, and thank you for clarifying. That said, much of what I wrote still applies; I still worry about the "cut & paste" potential of your post; I still bottle up a lot of anger surrounding gender issues for a lack of a place to safely vent; I still hope to see change, someday.

You know, I feel so much fucking anger inside whenever a lot of issues come up. Like circumcision. The worst part though is that I can't justify venting it, because I feel someone will cut & paste a link to illustrate "See how bad MRA's are? Look what this one wrote!" Even anonymously, it just paints us all bad. And I do care, because I want to see change take place. That said, it feels horrible to just never let it out and bottle it up inside, as I have been for-fucking-EVER, so that I can (hop…

I don't feel it's inappropriate, however I do disagree because I feel the #metoo campaign is counter productive no matter what perspective I try and view it from. Furthermore, I find it generally distasteful and would like to distance myself from it as much as possible, and if it were to become a 'thing' here, then I'd have to look at it more frequently. Having just looked at twitter, it seems that expressing sexual interest has somehow been perverted into being viewed as a form of harassment. I…
