Not really. When asked to justify a women-only class, the first defense the administration will make is "Actually, no men have tried to enroll in that class, so there is clearly no interest." Only after men have already tried to enroll can critics then practically speak about the feasibility of a women-only class, as it's only theory and comparison up until that point.

The documentary came out in 2013, and the FBI only reclassified the definition of "rape" to possibly include men in 2012. This means that in whichever statistic Katz is citing, the 1% that men are not rapists is woman~woman rape, or woman~child rape. Woman~man rape is entirely unaccounted for.

If you did, I'd call you a shitty MRA, yet still a MRA. Then, I'd go to differentiate how your concept of the movement differs from the mainstream axioms. The difference is that stripping you of your title is a form of censorship, and a central point of the MR movement is minimizing censorship.

It goes both ways. In articles critical of MRAs, I see comments and submissions cherry-picked to make us look bad, screenshotted within minutes after being submitted, when in reality they are downvoted profusely shortly after. Low-hanging fruit is easy to criticize, what's new?

Ideologies aren't black-and-white like hair colors are. It's open to interpretation, revision, bastardization, and there are a whole spectrum of people who identify with it. In then end, it's not what means that matters, but to which end it is used. Wheaton's "apology": Turns out that /r/mensrights survey I posted yesterday was rigged, and the person who set it up has withdrawn the whole thing. So … now you know. Wheaton's retraction isn't good enough. Rigging a poll implies that it was set up to be false data in the first place. In reality, it was hijacked to show inaccurate results. He also didn't even apologize.

Quit it with labeling these people "Tumblrina"s. It's a degrading term commonly used by /r/TumblrInAction, and, like other labels, it doesn't help our cause. Noting the gender of the poster also distracts from the actual viewpoint, which should be the focus. The poster's gender should not matter as much.

Nonetheless, Coker spent 17 months in a juvenile prison and his name was added to the sex offender registry. This isn't even an example of a bad plea bargain. At what point in the process did you learn why you were being investigated? Have you talked with her afterward to find out what her motivation was? If/when you told people about these accusations, how did they treat you? Did anyone treat you like a rapist? Besides the police and the girl, who knew that you were being accused? Did the girl spread disinformation about you? Besides the internal issues you're dealing with, what are the lasting effects of the accusation?

That's a good point that achieving Barbie proportions is actually possible if you do it the right way. But tight lacing can have serious consequences if practiced incorrectly, and still negatively affects organ structure even when not. At any rate, are you saying that the Barbie figure shown in the submission is an acceptable model for girls to imitate? Barbie has been a major enabler of eating disorders, which is why her waist has been widened in more recent dolls.

Not to stop the circlejerk, but muscle dysmorphia is a real issue, and He-Man's physique doesn't help. Like Barbie, he also has a very low body fat percentage. Combined with his swole physique, He-Man's image is not so achievable either. Granted that it's far better than straight-up anorexia, the steroid abuse that some may come by on the road to He-Mandom is dangerous itself.

It's two separate corporations, Symantec and O2. I wish the author would split the list, so we know which software is blocking which sites. As it stands, a conglomerate list is little to go on, and I don't think the list is the same for all softwares mentioned.

Some background: Nicholas Gurewitch (the guy behind PBF) was commissioned by the BBC back in September to make this and other short animations.
