I'm not sure the last statement is actually helpful, mate, or maybe to me sounds a little like a final verdict. Maybe just me though. Whichever way, I think being boring is just lacking skills (duh). I, for one, was perceived boring because I'm very analytical, and sometimes bore people with details and science, when all they are looking for is casual chat about fluffy things. So from my experience I just had to calibrate (or, as Harvey Specter would say, 'feel the room'). Also, I disagree with …

Good account of how a dude got rid of AA. Maybe just me though, l found his uses of "LOL" and smileys a little off-putting. Think they were out of place, and it lowered my impression of his age to mid-late teens. And then I read he drove..

That does sound like women from Eastern Europe in general. Even though I was born there (Baltics), i haven't really lived there long. It would be awesome if someone could really pinpoint the differences in approach. I do agree though, people from Ukraine tend to be better-looking on average, both men and women. Being part Ukrainian, it'd be something I'd say, right?

I guess the proper reaction would be to not take it in the first place, and make it into a joke. Or as someone suggested earlier -- put it on and act all gay, but I don't think I'd have come up with that on the spot (stealing it though!). Something similar happened to me the other day. Was out with a bunch of work people, had a table reserved and everything. This girl I'm not really interested in, who we work with comes up, to me and a couple of my workmates, and asks me to hold her drink while …

Getting hit on, is something you don't notice I reckon. Read up on some body language cues (I'm in the middle of what every body is saying, and it's greatly increased my awareness). I forget what that bias is called, but basically once you learn about something, it becomes impossible to miss, your brain literary is on the look for it at all times. I remember an example where if you spent time researching specific car, and if you we're to walk outside after you will find yourself noticing that ca…

Agree. But as all behavioural models, these steps (inc 3rd) are the carcass on which you later build, adding your personality/style/etc. a lot of that comes naturally now, but absolutely needed to understand the barebones. Was (and in many respects still am) not the greatest conversationalist, but through a LOT of trial and error, experimenting with cliches, random, and other topics/questions built a few models of how conversations generally "flow", and what keeps people around. Three steps are …

Why do you say he should stay away from CBT? Just curious, as I had couple of friends go for CBT and they said it was amazing. I suppose it could be that either deal with different source problems (I haven't researched that much) -- might be wrong though. Was considering therapy for a while, but as someone above said, i just assumed high cost, which would have been a barrier. Well willing to try it if it's £50 a session though -- any chance your therapist was in London area? Also, thanks for the…

One of my mates has a theory on that, which I can't really confirm or deny. The crazier the girl, the 'crazier' she is in bed. Which i guess translates to her being open to doing things some girls find too weird. I reckon that could be one of the reasons why your friend and his gf are together still?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
