The core of the argument is about culture, not geographic location. Culturally speaking, Egypt has been closer in comparison to the Middle East than Africa is. That's been a fact for the better half of 3,500 years, if not more.

Yeah, Egypt is vastly different than pretty much any other culture or civilization in Africa. At the height of their civilization, most of their Empire expanded into the Middle East than Africa itself. At their height, the Egyptians looked more Middle Eastern than African.

He was going to do graphic design work for her group. The project fell through, but he was still following her on Twitter and whatnot. You should be able to piece together what happened next. This whole story can be summed up simply as, the defendant was looking to be an asshole, and the plaintiff was dying to be a victim. The judge should have thrown the case out and fined them both for being public nuisances.

I can't remember which video exactly, but I believe it was one of his "This Week In Stupid", but he's said it a few times that he is not an MRA and doesn't follow MRA ideology, as he's an outspoken egalitarian. As long as MRA's continue to conduct themselves in a constructive manner, Sargon will have no reason to badmouth them. He's called out a few of them, but only when they've blatantly stepped out of line.

Sargon is not an MRA, and does not support the MRA movement, as he sees them as the other side of the same coin. He's more egalitarian than anything else. He is more than happy to pick out absurdity in any form, whether it comes from MRA's, SWJ's, or Feminists. He's any ally, not an advocate.

I would like you to know that I respectfully disagree with you on everything you've said in this post. Objectification is not a male-exclusive practice, regardless of how hard you try to assert that point. This threat, according to Wiley, was a violation of Pinkney’s probation, saying that Pinkney’s title of Reverend gave him a “direct line to the Lord” and that a reasonable person would find this to be a serious threat. Wiley sentenced him to 3-10 years in prison because of the threat’s supposed severity. Pinkney went to prison in June 2008 and remained there until his sentence was thrown out on appeal. Wow, piece of shit is really putting it lightly.

There is a myth that men cannot be raped by a woman since arousal apparently signals consent. This doesn't account for the fact that arousal most certainly doesn't mean consent, or that men themselves can be the ones being penetrated. The system itself, though, is written almost explicitly with men as the aggressors in mind, right down to the wording. It matches quite nicely with our domestic violence laws.

I was not banned from /r/mensrights, and I know that's something that wouldn't happen in the sub's current atmosphere and culture. I wasn't directly comparing both, since /r/feminism is basically a giant circle jerk of ideological affirmation, I just caution us to not fall into the same habits as feminists and /r/feminism, as it is very easy to do so.

Again, I couldn't agree more. The thing I'd say Mad Max has going for it, though, is that it's not a typical reboot. George Miller, the creator of the originals, is still directing it. He's been trying to get this movie made pretty much since Thunderdome, and was only able to secure funding for it a few years ago. So, in a way, it is a direct continuation of where we last left Max, they just had to wait a while due to Thunderdome flopping and not having any funding.
