I don't see much satanism in this world, but I do see a lot of tradcons trying to lure men back to the farm.

I can read Hindi. Yes, the second article supports the first one. Apparently, a lot of policemen ran during religious riots but a lot of them stayed. But many articles like the one on left make it seem that she stopped the riots herself. Many articles also mention she left her baby at home.

How widespread is this? During the 2014 hearing mentioned by /u/Whiskeybandit67, it was revealed that in 2012, 197,762 persons (mostly husbands and sometimes his relatives) all over India were arrested under the anti-dowry law. The rate of charge-sheeting is as high as 93.6%, while the conviction rate is only 15%. At the time of hearing 372,706 cases were pending trial of which on then current estimate, nearly 317,000 were likely to result in acquittal. For comparison, India reported 165,000 sto…

She slapped him and said why he was filming her. If he had not filmed that then he would've ended up with sexual harassment charges. The company is actually defending her: As per lady team member, she had objected to her video being taken by the customer and her repeated requests were also not heard, thus invading her privacy.

I would like to suggest Y-The Last Man. Basically, one day all men (except one) die and everything turns to chaos.

From the comments section: Just wondering if the case was reversed!! had the women been in this man's position... the whole nature of this news would have been super sensational and dramatic!! Hypocritical society.

I am not impressed by this particular product. But in the future we will have similar AIs which with other mechanical bots and devices will take care of houses.

In India, some clubs charge extra for entry if a man is not accompanied by a woman.

They could have cut him out of the article and simply claimed that the woman wrestled the thief. We don't know how often such things are done in news.

Under the new Juvenile Justice Act, a child can be tried as an adult if he commits an adult crime. Thus, this child is facing up to 10 years. Thanks, Maneka Gandhi.

That happened in Pakistan. But it is also true in India that a woman's family members often inflict violence similarly.

No wears yoga pants while doing yoga here in India. One should just wear something loose and comfortable like pajamas, track pant or a gi. Yoga pants are just something sportswear companies made up to capitalise on the yoga craze in the west. Funny to see it turning into a movement.

Indian here. In this festival, married women fast for a day and pray for a long life for their husbands. This is because being a widow in ancient India was very difficult. Basically it is like praying that your workhorse does not die. Furthermore, the husband is supposed to give a gift after the fast is over, usually jewellery. I have seen fights occur when the gift is considered not good enough. Nowadays marketers are commercializing it into a Hindu Valentine's Day. Unmarried girls now do this …

In India, women get lower rate loans for house or business from state-run banks. So a lot of men do the paperwork with their wives' name.

We have a similar law in India. It also doesn't recognise women-on-men violence and women-on-women violence for eviction purpose. Only men can be evicted. While disposing of an application under sub‑section (1) of section 12, the Magistrate may, on being satisfied that domestic violence has taken place, pass a residence order— (a) restraining the respondent from dispossessing or in any other manner disturbing the possession of the aggrieved person from the shared household, whether or not the re…

I don’t understand why we should be praising this woman. Her husband did something great, he started Microsoft and made billions, but she turns up here acting like it’s her money she is giving away and expects us all to worship her. I’ve never met such an entitled human being. I don't understand it either. Just to rub salt in the wound, she refused to talk to any men while she was here. Melinda Gates only cares about other women and girls. There are boys and men in poverty too, but she wasn’t in…

can you imagine that happening in the west? Yes, I can actually. Remember Ariel Castro kidnappings? Or the recent German double murder. Several western nations have a fraction of the poor and uneducated population of India, and a much better social welfare system. But yet, many of them report higher homicide rates. Apparently some people were saying she deserved it because women shouldn't be out at night or because she shouldn't have fought The people in the documentary were paid to say that. Th…

Is it required to have a degree in meteorology to become a weather-girl on the news in the US? Or weather-girls simply call themselves meteorologists? Jennifer Myers has a degree in meteorology. But do the rest also have one?

Fact: Cat-calling or eve-teasing is an offence punishable by prison in India. You need consent from an woman before using expressions of endearment like "Honey", "Love", "Baby" etc.

If you are wondering about the Hindu mythological story behind the painting. Here it is: Once Sage Vishwamitra was perfoming a very difficult meditation. Indra, the king of gods, feared that once completed, the meditation would make Vishwamitra very powerful and he would even able to conquer heaven. So Indra sent Menaka, a beautiful celestial being (apsara) of his court, to earth. Meanwhile, Vishwamitra had performed all the rituals and was engaged in meditation, which would complete his transfo…

This is an Indian comedian. He hosts a cringe-worthy comedy show on Indian television. I didn't know he was MGTOW. Now, the "wife", "maid" and "aunt" characters from his show make sense. They are intolerable.

One of those tweets said This trial followed all the rules. The rules are terrible. The rules fail women and reinforce existing power imbalances. #Ghomeshi #Canada Basically, they want public opinions to be counted and/or sentencing based on testimonies only. No need for any other evidence.

I just checked the Twitter reactions. It is priceless. One woman wrote: "#ghomeshi This verdict seems to call for women to wear hidden cameras during sexual encounters, in order to actually have access to justice." I just died laughing. Isn't it the other way around?

Women’s contribution to prosperity creation, including their work within the home and community, outside of the markets that so interest economists, has largely been ignored. Oh, that reminds me, there is this argument made by feminist economists that housewives should be paid by their husbands. However, most of these "papers" are silent on whether a husband can fire his wife if she doesn't do the work or whether such a husband will be required to pay alimony. Victoria Bateman seems to be one of…
