Own Your Shit Weekly - December 12, 2017I have a blockage in my left ankle that limits it's dorsiflexion range of motion. This is probably that same as what you have (but yours might be due to tightness in your calves). You have 3 options: raise your ankles. expensive shoes or you can just cut a piece of wood into a wedge, or just put some small weight plates under you heels. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qzAJLG-kA8Q Try to improve your range of motion. (Best option, might not be possible). https://mikereinold.com/ankle-mobility-exe… | /r/MarriedRedPill | 12/12/17 01:50 PM
Own Your Shit Weekly - December 12, 2017Lifting: Max effort week for sets of 10. Deadlift: 16 reps at 353lb (matched previous PR @353lb). Squat: 15 reps at 265lb (limited due to knee injury) Strict Overhead Press: 13 reps at 143lb (1 rep below previous PR - disappointing - I had some shoulder pain, I might have to rethink my upper body workout and add in more mobility work or reduce volume) Dumbell Press: 9 reps at 110lb (4 reps below previous PR - extremely poor result. Terrible sleep previous night and a monster heat wave also, I lo… | /r/MarriedRedPill | 12/12/17 10:03 AM

Life was going fine, decent relationship (lacking intimacy), decent job, finances under control etc, but just felt a little depressed and somewhat dissatisfied. Spending lots of time hiding in computer games and television shows. Been questioning my worldview, motivations and goals ever since discovering Jordan Peterson. | 1 | Own Your Shit Weekly - December 05, 2017I think you are looking to improve too many things simultaneously. Pick two or three concrete goals with specific outcomes, and then next week report on them. Build it up slowly like that. The goto suggestion is to start lifting. Stronglifts 5x5 is a great place to start (or to get started again if you were pretty strong and then stopped for a year or two) The next goto suggestion is to read the material in the sidebar. However, most of that is focussed on dealing with a current long term proble… | /r/MarriedRedPill | 11/12/17 06:23 AM |

Own Your Shit Weekly - November 21, 2017I am just not comfortable pulling the rug out from under someone's feet just as they are about to reach one of their major goals. Maybe as I move down the sidebar I can get more comfortable with that, but right now it seems cruel to me. I was unaware of Briffault's Law, so thanks for sharing that. However, I am perfectly aware of how I treat people, actions in the past are much less relevant that the current situation. I realize that once her PhD is done, the relationship dynamics will alter and… | /r/MarriedRedPill | 23/11/17 06:26 AM
Own Your Shit Weekly - November 21, 2017I have some strategies for dealing with the "don't want to fall asleep because I'm gonna miss something" issue. 1) Most effective by far is to relisten to stuff I listened more than a year ago. I have forgotton enough that it is interesting again but remember enough that I don't mind missing parts. 2) Don't worry about falling asleep and just relisten from where you approximately feel asleep at the next evening. Remember the goal is to fall asleep, not absorb podcast / audiobook content. It can … | /r/MarriedRedPill | 23/11/17 06:00 AM
Own Your Shit Weekly - November 21, 2017I struggle with sleep also. What works wonders for me is to listen to an audiobook before bed, focus on the story and visualize the scenes. You need to hit a right balance with a book that is interesting, but not so intense as to keep you awake. After a year or so you should have a decent library and then you can start relistening to your older books - that works the best for me. Audible is great, but if bugeting is an issue, you can try some podcasts (checkout Hardcore History and Common Sense … | /r/MarriedRedPill | 22/11/17 03:58 PM
Own Your Shit Weekly - November 21, 2017I will trade you 50% of my introversion for 50% of your extroversion. Fight club talk will be reduced to zero quickly. Caring too much about her reaction is definitely an issue for me. Learning to prioritize my needs and living for myself are two of the main things I need to work on. As for leaving her, right now that is a hard no. She is almost done with her PhD also and I will provide her with a stable and supportive and safe environment until she is done because I want her to succeed. I also … | /r/MarriedRedPill | 22/11/17 11:35 AM
Own Your Shit Weekly - November 21, 2017Thanks for the link to that post - it was very useful. I started talking with her about me needing to make some changes before I discovered MRP. I don't want to just suddenly stop talking with her about this. I will only discuss this now when she asks, and then I steer the conversation on my action based goals (write x pages in my thesis etc) - this is working for now. I will also improve opsec (no more reading book of pook in bed next to her...) | /r/MarriedRedPill | 22/11/17 10:05 AM
