I will say, finding men for the sole purpose of becoming a new husband for you and father to your children is a recipe for disaster. Do you think high quality men are looking for a single mom of two who isn’t even divorced yet? Let’s be reasonable here! The only men you’re going to pull at this point are NOT the type of men you want around your children. Not saying you can’t find one with time and healing, but a well-rounded, successful, mentally stable man is not going near your current situati…

Listen, idc what you do at the end of the day. Your kids are just another statistic to me. I’m just someone who has the best interest of all children in my heart. Good luck to you.

That ship has sailed. You need to do right by them with the tools you have at your disposal. If I did everything my kids wanted we’d be living in squalor eating cake for every meal. It’s time to be a parent.

Also, perhaps now is the time to do some soul-searching and figure out what was lacking in your marriage (either your fault or his) that made him step out. Fix your own faults and recognize the red flags in him that you missed. Basically spend the next 10+ years in therapy getting to know yourself and heal yourself. Afterwards you can find a partner who has done just as much work as you on building themselves up from the inside out. Only those people who have done the work and are mentally ready…

Life isn’t fair, unfortunately. But at this point in time putting your own wants and needs above your children’s well being in the name of fairness is unintelligent at best and neglectful at worst.

You shouldn’t have any more children. Marriages with children from previous relationships have a 70% fail rate.

With all due respect, I believe you should be focusing on your two young children. Speaking as someone whose mother divorced in middle school and immediately jumped into the dating market, they need you a lot more than you think. Worrying about what a stranger says/thinks when there’s a slim to none possibility of ever meeting this man let alone marrying him is asinine. Like you said, you just got out of a marriage where you were home full time. I imagine now you’re working to support yourself o…

I’m struggling with this right now, not my own practices, but friends/family. We don’t have children yet but I’ve already cut off friends for the reason of “I don’t want you negatively influencing or impacting my child”. Other friends think I’m nuts but really... if I can’t trust you around my child why do I still have you around?

Getting married and staying happily married are two different things. Anybody can sign a piece of paper.
