That was when men were the breadwinners and women didn't earn money. It made sense. Whatever assets she has in terms of house and wage etc now she is entitled to as you are to yours. I don't see a problem with having to pay child support it is half your child after all. I pay mine every month

A promiscuous past should make no difference whether it be yours or hers. It's no secret that many toxic psycho awful people, the type who falsely accuse and abuse, are also absolutely dynamite in bed. Otherwise we wouldn't put up with their bullshit. Actually they werent. Land rights ie being a landowner gave you the right to vote. Impoverished men AND women weren't allowed to vote- landowning men AND women were allowed to vote.
