I’m guessing part of the motivation to go to the police and make the false claim was that the video that went viral took place in a public setting and although lewd contains no nudity so it cant be taken down unless its classed as crime etc

Great reply, I think thats one of the most ironic part of the article as well, starting off by saying the risk of DV occurring goes up by X amount during football finals to then recommend men shouldn’t be allowed to leave the house is just insane. It seems to be an exaggeration perpetuated by social media, RD had once stated in an interview that he had anger issues and he channeled that into cycling as therapy, I haven’t read anything to suggest that he had a history of DV but im happy to be corrected.

Yup, its the Australian way, The only case in Australia that i can think of where a woman has been held to account in the media is Erin Patterson(the mushroom murders), but even that is being treated more like murder mystery by the media instead of domestic violence against men, im sure when it goes to trial the media will build the narrative that she was the victim and was “forced” to do it or something equally ridiculous. Sad but true, i was accused in 2021, luckily never charged as the accuser was kind enough to be honest with the police and tell them the incident was “consensual at the time”, thats still not to say it hasn’t completely destroyed my life.
