I really appreciate this comment and the ideas in here are in line with what I’ve been experimenting with in my own life thanks to a coach of mine and discovering the work of Joe Hudson. Curious what people or books or practices have had the biggest influence on your ideas around this? I love discussing this with people.

Love this post man. You've inspired me. How old are you and how long have you been at this?

Thank you for weighing in. From everything I’ve read and my Indian friends who I talk to who live here now there are plenty of sexually frustrated young men in India who aren’t getting married or aren’t getting married to the girls they want. Indian parents are very picky and to your point I think your SMV has to be even higher, and money and status matter more when it’s an arranged marriage. Here you can make up for a lack of money or status with game/personality and/or looks to a degree but I …

If that’s how you feel what are you even doing in this subreddit?

This is a fascinating fantasy to me. What makes you think that if arranged marriage was a thing here you would be getting paired with women who are more beautiful, more intelligent, more “feminine,” or have a better personality than the ones you have access to now? You think the parents of all the women who you can’t date now would suddenly be lining up to marry their daughter to you?

lol yes I’ve read the literature. I take the stuff that’s valuable and leave the stuff that isn’t.

Anti-slut defense. Society still views women who have casual sex differently than it does men.

I’ve never heard of a girl who cold approaches. That’s really cool. Do you mind sharing why you started doing it?

Totally agree. I’ve genuinely never understood some people’s obsession with “text game” and the 101 rules that are supposed to make it work. I break them all. I double text, I don’t wait all the time, whatever. If a girl is really attracted to me, none of that stuff matters. If she isn’t, my avoiding a double text isn’t going to save things in the long run.

This is a much more plausible explanation in my mind than the "I'm not a slut." Not saying that can't be a factor too, but asking this as a safety precaution to gauge a guy's attitude is smart for any woman to do.

Do you do most of your approaching at night then?

I'm at a similar point, although I think a few years older than you at 29. Recently started lifting and bulking. Approaching is something I've wanted to do for most of my 20s but still haven't. I had a serious girlfriend for many years, and then since then have not done it because I told myself I was busy with my career, then the pandemic. All just excuses I've been telling myself because the reality is I'm scared to just start approaching people. I've never even been bad with women, I'm just no…

Curious how you do this. When I've gotten full panel STD tests before, they didn't test for herpes or HPV. Do you request special tests, or you don't test for those? Also, do you get retested before each new partner?

I think you're right about the mental gymnastics for a lot of guys, myself included. When I'm honest with myself, I realize it's what I want right now. Did you meet most of the women you've slept with by cold approaching?

When and how do you tell potential partners about it? I've been scared of getting it in the past to the point that it's affected my sex life, so I'm always interested to hear from people who've dealt with it and say it hasn't really affected their lives that badly.

If you don't mind my asking—I assume we are talking about genital herpes here, not oral herpes. I've had oral herpes (HSV-1) since I was a small child kid. These days I get a cold sore on my lip maybe once a year (often less) if I'm really stressed or my immune system is really compromised. Assuming you you're talking about HSV-2, what's your experience been like? How often do you have an outbreak? Do you only disclose it if you have an outbreak, or do you tell every potential partner? If the la…

u/Solid_Change7274 this is the answer you’re looking for. This guy nails it on every point. The hottest woman I’ve ever been with was a milf and I almost fucked it up because I approached it at first like she was a girl my age.

For real. As someone who has been doing this for a few years OP's advice is gold, verified by my own experience. So many whiners in the comments. No wonder they aren't getting laid.

100% on the ENM references, and I'm not opposed to that at all. In my experience though there is definitely a "type" of girl that puts that in her dating profile.

Fantastic write-up! As someone who considers themselves moderately successful on dating apps, this is exactly the approach I've developed through a lot of trial and error—everything from what types of bios to avoid to how to open. It's great to see it written out in so much detail like this. Saving so I can share if anyone asks me in the future. If anyone else is reading this wondering, do it, it's the approach that will result in the most positive experiences and the least wasted time.

You're getting way ahead of yourself brother. If you don't have any idea if she's into you, you should be focused on seducing her, not on how she'll feel about keeping things casual. I'm also not interested in a relationship right now, but when I'm just starting to get to know a girl, I don't worry about having that talk. Just focus on seducing her. Be confident, be funny, be vulnerable, make her feel comfortable opening up to you emotionally, do fun/adventurous stuff, etc. etc. When you do have…

Hey man, really enjoyed both posts, thank you for sharing! I think you did a wonderful job of distilling the most important aspects of the right mindset and approach to women. On that last post about fingering, completely agree with you that too many guys think being a great lover means being able to penetrate her, but most girls (75% according to multiple studies) aren’t able to orgasm with just penetration. There is a book I’d recommend to anyone reading this called She Comes First: The Thinki…
