Christ, this shit happens way too retardedly often: "You're a hypocrite because another individual that has something in common with you said this thing you disagree with."

I once saw a documentary on the making of a porn film: it was really this: AND ACTION 3 seconds of intense fucking AND CUT camera and light crew re-adjusts which are by the way around the actors AND ACTION rinse and repeat It is in fact not actual sex at all.

I don't "LTR" or "marry" in general, but fuck/be friends with/hang out with/fall in love with/whatever else?—yeah sure? I don't care. Can currently be a porn star for all it wants.

The user I replied to verbatim said: If both you and your partner don’t think you’re the best fit for each other, why commit (long term) at all So no, that was exactly what was meant; there is no real ambiguity here.

I never said "perfect"; I said "better". There's always going to be some film star better that might not be perfect, and even if we limit the pool to those they interacted with they are still going to be most likely. What magical coincidence would it be that all just happened to end up with their first choice; that's just statistically unlikely; in reality for most it's going to be not even close to their first choice on their hierarchy. Almost every individual settles.

Everything "settles"; I don't get this shit. There's always some unattainable film star that you'd want more or whatever. You're almost never the first choice simply because there's 7 000 000 000 humans on this planet so unless you're truly the crème de la crème there's going to be a better one. Asking to be first of 7 000 000 000 is quite a standard to put onto oneself.

Might not be the single-sex environment but just the mentality that correlates with it though. Telling teenagers that they can't have sex has long been known to correlate heavily with high numbers of teenage pregnancy—not even necessarily high numbers of teenage sex, just high numbers of teenage pregnancy. When I was like 13 year sold or something and was getting ready for school one day and my parent had already left I found a box of condoms mysteriously lying on the table in plain sight which …

Some do; some don't—I for one don't. I think it mostly depends on the amount of energy you radiate. Even on reddit where my appearance is not visible I have never faced any sexual attention despite discussing sexual matters openly except for one time when I used an emoticon somewhat ironically and immediately got a response of a sexual nature that was also somewhat ironic—it made me a bit uncomfortable I must say. I think my writing style reflects my dispassionate nature that is quite visible in…

That is bog standard where I live—marriage is mostly something for the religious here. My parents were never married; neither were my grandparents so it goes back a long time.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/19 05:28 PM
1

It wouldn't matter one bit to me: If I were to get married I would marry outside of shared property and address and consequently it would be little more than a legal label. I would not have to like, or even know the other individual; it would be a document that says that we are married that is worth very little outside of symbolism. If I am force to pick one of both in this hypothetical then it's completely irrelevant whatsoever with what individual altogether I get married because if the only r…

I'm not interested in "commitment" and I'm not that interested in sex either; I have no problems with "sensitive" but I have a massive problem with politeness, compliments, and friendliness. The kind of "sensitive" I appreciate is more so that of the quintessential Byronic romantic character if you will.

"We are in a relationship" when it needs to be clarified I guess which sounds about as legalese as "spouse" and isn't much used in casual conversation.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/19 06:32 PM

There are no words for "boyfriend", or "husband" in my native language; there's a word for "spouse" but it sounds very legalese and is not really used in casual conversation. Individuals mostly refer to each other by... name. Like in German sometimes individuals do say "my man" or "my woman" literally but it sounds kind of old fashioned and isn't used much any more.

Sex with children is rape, regardless of the cultural norms. No, just in Anglic cultures. Yes some cultures accept it, but some cultures also accept FGM and honor killings. They can go fuck themselves. You mean the vast majority of cultures accept it and pretty much the only ones that don't are the common law remnants of the British empire based on nothing at all but their infamous puritan morality regarding sex before marriage and nudity? Yes, SOME states allow marriage under 18. It’s a crime a…

Most Americans don't you mean. Like I said; this is democratically voted upon in pretty much every developed nations. Anglic culture is the outlier here, not the norm. You've yet to provide a single actual harmful effect and throughout the United States it's absolutely legal to have sex with a 14 year old as long as it happens within wedlock so don't give me that crap; it's about marriage.

Your liver can process alcohol at probably any age. Should we allow toddlers to get hammered? You'd also be surprised that most European countries do not have this 21+ thing on drinking but in fact permit minors to drink a little under parental supervision and dosage where the parents are responsible for not letting them drink too much and letting them drink too much is indeed considered child abuse/neglect—once again there is more nuance to the laws. Just because it’s natural doesn’t mean it is…

You’re just wrong. I’m an atheist. I don’t care about the religious aspects of it. Doesn't change that that morality is influenced by religion. The US laws are probably not a good solution but to claim that lowering the age of consent is a solution to a huge number of social ills is just weird. I never said that it was; the "age of consent" is simultaneously higher and lower in Germany than in the US because there is no such system that only considers age and nothing more; that's the problem. Ge…

It's just puritan to say it's automatically rape when it concerns a 14 year old because of some deluded idea that teenagers shouldn't have sex because "no sex before marriage" religious ideas.

Your laws are an opinion the same way that the US laws are an opinion. these numbers are not an opinion; telling teenagers to not have sex; telling citizens to not do drugs or not visit prostitutes—how well is it working out? All I said was that the idea that 14 year old, reproductively mature teenagers supposedly "can't consent to sex" is both biologically ridiculous and clearly lea…

Your laws are stupid. Our laws lead to low teen pregnancy; your laws lead to super high teen pregnancy because Anglic culture in all its religious morality keeps denying the simple biological reality that 14 year old teenagers are sexually mature and have sexual desire and no matter how much it keeps wanting to believe that 14 year olds are "too young for sex" based on nothing whatsoeve rit's simply a biological falsehood. So they will have sex anyway no matter how much their parents forbid them…

99% of females is Hypergamous, just like 99% of males is hypergamous, not just in love but in everything. This can be phrased into the more recognizable phrase of "If you can choose between getting a better and a worse deal, why would you get the worse?"—no shit that humans in general want the very best they can get in every single thing. What I disagree with: 100% of females is hypergamous

Evidence? It's just something that's studied and noted; take the "missing white woman syndrome" that details just how much more the media and public care when the victim of some violent crime or abduction is a pretty, young, white, female. The one that I replied to makes this a male vs female thing but I personally don't feel that older and/or uglier and/or not-white females really get the same treatment.

"identifies" "exist" now? Here I thought they were just self-identified buzzwords... With the Recent Contrapoints video basically admitting that patriarchy is upheld by women, I realized that in contemporary society Masculinity is basically a luxury for the rich. About 50% of the individuals that uphold it are female I'd reckom, maybe a tiny bit less. Unbeknownst to itself, Feminism has not been pushing for any type of socialist utopia. How would you pay for social security if the population is declining? Retirement age can go up since life expectancy and good health is also increasing. There's a word for this deluded idea of fueling social security with population growth: a pyramid scheme. As I said, consider this basic illustration: Say I read the claim somewhere that says "all females have salt and pepper hair" and I say "I believe this the minute I read it because it accurately describes my hair colour as a female." That would be a very bad reason to believe a prima facie absurd claim. You say you believe a universally quantified claim because it descries you accurately.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/08/19 11:01 PM
2

Maybe but that's not what you said; what you said was: i believed it the minute i read it because i instantly recognized that it described the behaviors of men who drove me crazy and exactly how they drove me crazy Your entire original claim is "I believe TRP the minute I read it because it applied to me."; doesn't seem like remotely kosher logic to me.

I'm saying that even if your experience that it applies to you is completely 100% accurate that's still not the slightest shred of evidence that it's true. Basically you for whatever reason believe that a generalism, dare I say a universalism is true simply because it applies to you.

The "nice guy" finishes last pretty much everywhere in life; there's no karma godhead above that rewards "good behaviour"; altruism is putting others ahead of yourself—surprise that when you do that others are going to end up ahead of yourself and you'll finish last. This isn't some magic dating-only gender-only truth; this is just about every facet of life: to obtain what you want most effectively entails being selfish enough to take it away in front of others that might want it too.

Selection bias. Your experience does not dictate everyone else’s. I didn’t make a claim about all men, just the ones I’ve experienced myself. There we go— I will point at myself as a female for having a positively masculine trait: I tend to fix things before buying a new one: that is a positive trait and happens to be masculine because if you think about it long and hard enough every trait can be classified into "feminine" and "masculine". If you're male and never murdered a human being: that's a positive feminine trait... congratulations because every trait again can be classified as one of those.

How do quantify stuff when emotions and feelings? You state what percentage of males and females you think can have opposite-sex friends and then we can talk because I take it all can agree that it's neither 100% nor 0%. I'm merely suggesting that it is possible to be friends. Of course it's possible; that's a trivial claim; that implies the percentage is not exactly zero; it implies that here exists at least one counter-example.

This is not a debate; of course it can; I'm sure that everything will admit that at least one example of exists. Without a further quantification of a minimum percentage this is not a debate. this is like "A human being can live for 150 years"... yeah I'm sure in theory at least one could with proper medical care. What's your quantification here? Without a quantification this debate is purely vested in emotional buzzword responses and not in rational enquiry

"empathy" in practice is used simply to mean "Telling me what I want to hear and sympathizing with me." I have rarely seen this word be used in the context of critique or disagreement. Regardless human beings are of course unless you believe in telepathy not capable of true empathy; they are capable of feeling what they themselves would have felt in another's shoes; not what said other feels in those shoes.
