Soak the fabric in the alcohol, then wring it out into your mouth

A towel, or if you're feeling saucy, a pair of your underwear. Edit: for extra saucy, the pair of underwear you wear to the party.

I know the feeling. You and your friends go out, but you're the only one who makes a goal of approaching girls/sets. Realize that this puts you in the dominant position. You may lose the frame as your friends join and the conversation progresses, but when you speak, the set will perk up -- you're remembered as the dominant guy that approached them. And if you do feel your friends occupying the group's attention, just open another set. You already did it once, do it again!

There is a quote from the book Snow Crash that I really like -- "She doesn't want you to understand her. She knows that's impossible. She just wants you to understand yourself. Everything else is negotiable."

forcing myself through the motions of forming relationships until doing so seems natural to me Um yeah dude, it is like that for everyone. There is some quote that goes (paraphrased), "The more personal the problem, the more universal it is." We all suck or sucked at forming relationships. Lots of girls have the same problem. They're more forgiving than you think if you're afraid of coming off as forced or awkward.

The mindset I've had lately is "be willing to lose her." Go to the party, have YOURSELF a good time, and she will be kept drawn into it. Don't force it on her, let her choose to be in it. I try not to be a dick or out-alpha other guys -- I try to create my own reality and fun. Just don't be afraid, you're more awesome than you think. Most guys at parties (regardless of handsomeness) generally suck at attracting girls and keeping them around. You're going to do fine.

Given the amount of valuable free material a lot these guys release, I can sit through a little sales pitch. What's "so fucking lame" is whining about these guys providing free material. No one is forcing you to subscribe to Neil's list, or to read seddit. I am grateful for RSD's blog and all the free videos they release, as well as having experienced coaches around seddit that engage in discussions.

Good for you though, and I really mean that. I believe getting your social skills handled is just as important as your other goals, as everything involves other people in some capacity.

Good effort. This is better than I would have done at 18. 3:00pm same day Me: Id give you an A for effort, but it still doesn't count since I don't have a physical straw in person IMO, you took the joke too far here. She was willing to play along up until this point (a pretty clear indicator of interest, I think most girls would have blown you off before getting this far.) Recognize that she took the picture, and you were still on her mind at this point. Try escalating for a meetup next time, an…

I think it's like a stepping stone for some guys, similar to a lot of other concepts in pick up. For instance, I'm not a fan of using canned lines or routines, but some guys need them for conversational-auto-pilot-mode while they gain some social experience or work on other facets of themselves. Label no-fap however you will, but it clearly helps some guys.

Here's my take: if we are walking TO somewhere, or with any kind of purpose, arm-around-the-shoulder just feels awkward and kills my natural gait. It does work if you are just strolling about, or walking around a museum or some similar venue. My go-to escalation is usually a playful push away, and then pulling her back in with the arm around the shoulder. Also, don't death grip her shoulder -- I try for a playful draping of my arm around her neck. You can also then grab a boob if everything line…

I saw her out and about and made a simple appology Don't know how strong you put it on earlier, but I personally would not have apologized. I apologized for being an asshole to her. Good for you man. There's no weakness in facing reality and acknowledging that you behaved poorly. Getting mad at a girl for not sleeping with you is the ultimate beta behavior -- I think a lot of us have been there. She's not trying to dominate you, she wants you to be a man and be happy regardless of her.

Own the fact that you're there alone I've had mixed results with this one. I'm currently working on creating a social circle, so I end up going out alone quite a bit. More often than not this sparks pity in others, especially girls. Dan (blog post writer) had a reason for being at the event (a wedding invitation), which I think helps to alleviate the perceived neediness.

A big part of creepiness comes from not being clear in your intentions. I think in Flawless Natural, Tim mentions woo/state without intent = dancing monkey, and intent without woo/state = creepiness. It makes sense really: as one example, staring at a hot girl in the bar, but never approaching her = creepy. Escalating too much at once can also be creepy. This is a sticking point I'm just getting over personally. You have to get used to trusting yourself and your instincts on this one. It's somet…

Well said. Seeking out female companionship is in our genes, and it's something that so many males try to deny. Acknowledging that desire as a part of who you are is a first step in being truly honest with yourself. That honesty then radiates out in all of your interactions with people. Everyone benefits in the end, which is why I think this community is so valuable.

I didn't read his links, but regardless of how empirical the studies are, I think OP still makes a good point. I don't think difficulty talking to women is solely linked to porn/masturbation, but I've experienced abstaining and had positive results from it. So have friends of mine, so I think it's something worth mentioning. Like most things in this community, none of it is really scientific, but you can experiment with them yourself and see if they work for you.

Also remember: she did those things for her, not to impress or intimidate you. Remember all the shit you read about doing things for yourself and not to impress other people? It goes both ways. She has her life accomplishments and the self-worth that comes along with it. It can feel intimidating. Focus on your own accomplishments and how far you've come, and remember that you are both equals.

As widespread as PUA has become, it still takes a ton of effort and practice, which most people aren't willing to do. Like PDXpua mentioned, a lot of guys get by on just their looks, but that just isn't enough for consistent success. Take advantage of the situation you're in though. You can learn a great deal by seeing how hot girls are hit on.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
