I'm also gonna ramble a little. The societal infantilization of women has negative consequences for BOTH sexes. Of course, there are also some meager 'benefits' for both sides as well. I think largely, in material ways, males lose out from this infantilization. But women as individuals didn't implement this system. Nor did you, reader, duh.
