Yes, I read it. I had just wanted to make the point that OP shouldn't be judged for things that happened as a kid or potentially happened out of his control. Those things are not relevant to the point. I believe that regardless of the circumstances, we can learn from OP's story and apply those lessons to RP. You are correct that it's not the best example to apply directly to civilized social interactions, but I believe anecdotes like this are useful analogs to situations that come up for us.
