My own advice to you would be to start by learning to simply accept things the way they are. Jealousy indicates a lack of such acceptance. It takes effort, but it will bring you peace. I'm a short guy. I used to be bitterly jealous. Now, I simply accept it and am able to be content. Acceptance also empowered me to overcome a lot of negative habits and behaviors. So regardless of my height, I can still be lean, muscular, successful, and confident. Good luck.

When checking the vac lines, also check the diaphragms at the top of the carbs. A hole in one of those could cause a similar issue.

No, for me it was time dependent, not speed, and the cylinders were flooded after stalling. Sounds to me like a vacuum leak somewhere, which a cleaning wouldn't address unless they replaced vacuum lines while in there (which usually doesnt happen). Does it just flat out stall at a specific speed/RPM, or does it bog down and recover if you let off the throttle? What if you try getting the revs up in a lower gear (i.e. highway revs, but not highway speed)?

I had a problem with a Shadow that kept flooding constantly. Did all sorts of trouble shooting. Finally said screw it and tore apart the carbs completely. One, tiny shred of red plastic was preventing the float from being able to close off the gas flow completely >:( but solving the problem after so much frustration was euphoric. I love simple machines :D
