Can I get a TLDR? The pictures are too big for me to read at work.

What's that old negotiation tactic? Offer something and the first one that talks loses. This is a little similar. What I like is what it's sub communicating. 'I'm okay with silence and am not going to dance around to impress you.' Thoughtful silence is good for all interactions. It shows that you care about her question. It's in the same realm as push/pull. Silence brings her to you. Now I'm craving ramen because tacos aren't an option.

For me and my situation, it's too expensive. It's free to talk online but messaging and calling costs money.

I agree, getting her number is pointless. You already have a connection to her phone through the app. Why do you need another one? It's much easier to set up a date and meet them. From there you can escalate and if you still enjoy their company, get her number for a second date.

If you hate it then don't do it. I love dancing and it's so easy to escalate on the dance floor. There is a lot of push pull too. My dance teacher said that she sees all movement as dance. It's just moving your body around. My dancing is bad and I don't care, I'm there to have fun. That's the only emotion I want to convey.

Harsh truth, this is not worth the time to read. Sorry mate but I had to stop reading at stereo types. That's when your writing value dropped significantly. People don't reject solely on looks, it's everything. The most attractive guy could be sad and creepy and he will have a hard time. Most of this post known core truths, self frustration and poorly thought out ideas. And for what? Some self promotion? Come back when you have something unique and interesting to say and maybe I'll look at your …

It's all in the feels and emotion. Display a fun party attitude and high energy. Pretend you are a little kid again. They don't talk about deep topics. They just "fuck yeah ice cream" with a massive smile. They also express their emotions freely, "I'm having such a good time". It's cliche but it's less about what you say and more how you say it. I'm living in Japan and my Japanese is not at deep conversation level. When I go out dancing I barely speak at all. Just eye contact and good feels.

Yes decisiveness is an attractive trait. The golden question shouldn't be used for all situations either. Say she's complaining about work. She may be venting or asking your opinion, you don't know. By asking and acting on that you have a chance of creating a deeper connection.

The golden question is; "Are you venting or would you like me to help?". This question has saved me so many times. It let's you know what role they would like you to play.

I find girls that can have deep conversations incredibly sexy. It's something about being relaxed enough that talking about anything that I like. Conversation flow is a nice skill to have. Even though mine is good, there are still a lot of people I have no flow with.

Why is slowing down the conversation down bad? The idea is to have a variety of things to talk about so there is good flow.

Asking for directions or the time is a good quick opener too. I don't buy that introverted / extroverted frame of mind. Sure it's backed up scientifically but it's a limiting frame. For year and years I identified myself as an introvert. I would act accordingly until I started, after therapy, not giving a fuck. I practiced social skills and got better. Sure there are days when I'm quiet but generally I'm happy to chat to anyone around me. I've told people that I'm an introvert and they don't bel…

2 months ago I quit porn. It's my second time so it's a little easier. I masturbate once a week and not to porn. This has helped my interactions and approaching a lot. I see a girl get turned on. Sometimes it's embarrassing when my gym girl is talking to me and I fell a boner coming on. Fuck I'm 32, teenage hornyness is meant to be behind me. Read the Power of Now by Elkhart Toll if you haven't already. Watch your thoughts and emotions so you stay in control. The opener doesn't matter that much …

I like "What do you love most in the world?". That can open doors. Motivations are good too. Why do you ~? Also being able to explain your passions and motivations will help. Of course use common sense. Don't use this on the dance floor or super early on.

You should be teaching me! How's your Chinese? My Japanese is really bad so it's hard to have a deep conversation. Anyone that speaks English has been easy to pull. Sometimes I use the, "Excuse me but I'm learning Japanese. Can we have a short chat?". Only been turned down once using that.

Ha ha are you me? I had pretty much the same experience last night. Was super low energy and got talking to a three set. They invited me to dance and I said soon (waiting for the right song). When I did get up I was welcomed in. My dancing is not to bad but more enthusiasm than anything. Usually I would do a stupid move and all the girls would follow. Felt good. Two more of there friends joined so it was me and five girls all dancing. I basically had a monopoly in the bar. While I'm having a goo…

Dude you'll be right. You have the right attitude and just need a little direction. As said, Models by Mark Manson is a very good guide. Where I find the women I like is in the places I like. My big loves are coffee and music. So when I'm not at home I'm at my favourite bar of cafe. I've become friends with the owners there and they often introduce me to new people. You can do this through meetup.com if you are looking for hiking groups and such. By the way, why are you in France? Seems like a w…

I like this, it's an interesting take. Knowing when a girl is interested is an underrated skill. You are both practicing that skill while being professional. I'm in the same situation at work. If I date anyone there I will loose my job and at best relocate. I see the signals, I smile and act friendly, I don't act on those signals. Your abundance mentality must be off the charts.

Get around? I will usually leave big groups alone unless I've been talking to someone in the group before. What kind of place are you going to? Try to make friends with the bartender and staff. They will introduce you to people. Sit at the bar and be open. Sometimes chatting to the people who are buying drinks. Keep it light and fun. My common opener is "cheers" and a smile. From there it can turn into a conversation or die. Either way I don't care, I just want people to be relaxed around me. Th…

Ditch YouTube and Facebook and find a hobby that interests you. "But I don't know what interests me!", even better. That means you are a blank slate and can try everything. The only reason I know I like climbing mountains is from climbing mountains. If you don't, fuck it move on to the next thing. A cheaper way to find your interests is to go to the library and browse the nonfiction. There is bound to be a book that resonates with you in some way. Start there, reading before doing. Also, why the…

That's great that you are doing well. Hard work shows and you are doing things to improve yourself. I'm currently reading "The Conquest of Happiness" by Bertrand Russle. It's pretty heavy but quite amazing. Whenever I read it I have my journal nearby so I can write down quotes.

You have a lot of pain and anger. Everything, as Arnie says, is reps, reps, reps. I used to be a social mess. On shit days I still am. But fuck all that, I worked hard and got good. First in my native language and now in a foreign one. I'm in my third city in less than a year and building friendships and relationships in less than a month. How? By getting out there and talking to people. People know me now, I'm building report. Could 25 year old do the same thing? Yeah he could if he got out of …

I agree with this. As Arnie says, "It's all reps, reps, reps". Whether that's lifting or approaches it's all the same. Even the master PUA's have off their fair share of rejections. But they keep going out there and doing.

Keep going! You can do it! You have the right direction just do some analysis. Why do you think you got turned down? Most of the time it's the girl, Little chemistry or friction. Keep trying to be the best you can be. As suggested, read more. Models, Power of Now, No more Mr Nice Guy, anything that takes your interests. You appear to be showing a little bit of neediness and desperation. Girls can sense this and it's a massive turn off. Looking at the reasons why you want a gf is a good start.

Do some reading before then. Models and Power of Now if you haven't already. Practice watching your thoughts. Now for abroad, it doesn't matter. Anywhere will be an eye opening experience for you. It's based on you and your interests. I'm coming up to one year abroad in Japan and moved cities a month ago. My Japanese is as good as your Spanish but I try to make friends where I can. I used to be incredibly shy and introverted. Over time and with practice I have become more friendly and extroverte…

So right! What interests you? Read that. Love baseball? Read a famous players biography. Love knitting? Read a book on the knitting world championship. Your motivation and understanding will be higher and when you explain why you love it so much she will see how articulate you are. Right now I'm reading "The conquest of happiness" by Bertrand Russle and "The power of now" by Elkhart Toll.

Thank you very much for this quote. I need to add this book to my list. There's another unique fear that compounds my approach anxiety. It's how to express myself fully. Living in Japan with basic conversational Japanese. Simple things are okay but complex topics become very hard to explain. Was just at the gym and before my workout one of the female trainers said hello and started talking to me. She can't speak any English so my Japanese was pushed to the edge. Where I would say, my friend is c…

I would take the Manson approach but try not to be too negative. Let it be a conversation and ask her why she has it. Personally I hate Facebook too but living abroad, I need it to communicate with people. I never get numbers, I get Facebooks. Instagram suits my personality so I use it. The things I post are cool events I attend and interesting things I'm doing. It's another way for girls to see my value. That said, you do you.

Personally I don't like clubs. It's hard to chill. My favourite place is the lounge bar. Good music, lots of couches and relaxed atmosphere. But let's look at you. As said, bring them close. Talk loud enough so that she can hear you. I think some of your frame is off and a little needy. A good question to ask is, "am I having a good time". Have fun and invite her in to that area. On the going out alone, do it more and you'll find your way. I just moved to my second city abroad and I don't have a…

I started out very shy and introverted. Now after lots of conscious effort my social skills have improved. It took practice and it will for you too. Do I have friends now? Not really. There is a bartender that I chat to and we get along and there is another guy that lives a couple of hours away. But let's provide context. Just moved to Hiroshima about 3 weeks ago. I get what you are saying. My place in this situation was a mixed dorm. If it wasn't I would have just walked her back and invited her up for a drink. How is the last chance thing creepy? I can only see the way I say it to affect whether it's creepy or not.

Yes my body language needs work. It's fine out of that situation. I was able to get some nice long eye contact though. At a bar I've got my intro conversation fairly set. I can answer most questions and feel comfortable chatting in Japanese with some English. I have had a similar experience to your Okonomiyaki-mura story in Fukuoka.
