I think you’re forgetting how many bots there are on this website, especially in the comment sections of controversial posts. It wouldn’t take much for me to have 50 bot accounts to say “yeah I also cheat on my boyfriend! You should leave yours and upgrade!” in every comment section of every one of those types of posts. It doesn’t cost much and if I knew more about computers I’m sure they’re not that hard to code. Now imagine if I had a vested interest in keeping a sizable part of the population…

You’re equating jerking off with porn, which I find most men view porn as the only way to get themselves off now. (Look at any post about women not wanting their man to watch porn, 90% of the comments from men are about how its abusive to keep someone from masturbating and if she won’t have sex everyday he should be allowed to jerk off, but it was specifically about porn, not masturbating in general). But porn isnt masturbating, people aren’t telling you to watch porn, they’re telling you to get…

I think the big thing that people need to realize is that there is a huge sampling bias when it comes to dating apps statistics. Over 75% of the users on almost all dating apps are men, this would suggest that the average woman probably isn’t on dating apps. That 20% also includes bots, ads, survey accounts (including accounts people make to see how many matches women get) and non active accounts that haven’t been deactivated yet, so there are probably even less women on those apps than is repor…

I think it’s mostly speculative science at this point, and if people put too much credit into it too fast it’ll not only kill the field but taint biology and psychology with it, I’ve already seen it be misnamed as evolutionary biology.

That is what Dune said too But I don’t think controlling your impulses is what makes you human, sounds unintentionally ableist and generally a way to not only dehumanize men but give them an excuse to why they can’t control themselves (“oh you know how boys are, can barely control themselves now, that’s just their nature yknow how girls are just better at controlling themselves than them, maybe she should’ve done something to curve his impulses if she didn’t want it to happen”) Men are human, ev…

Connect to those two things Maybe women are socialized to value casual sex less than men are and if women were socialized to value casual sex the same as men, then women and men’s values would be more aligned. Male and female sex drives are more different within their sex vs between the sexes. Meaning that the differences in sex drives between men and women are smaller than the women with the highest and lowest sex drives or the men with the highest and lowest sex drives. Socialization is how we…

You realize people who haven’t had any partners often judge their current partner. If someone is judging you that’s a reflection on them, just like you judging them is a reflection on you You being insecure doesn’t mean women shouldn’t date

My first question is, what kind of laughing are they doing? Are they pointing at you going “haha you’re gay haha” or are they going “oh.. haha…” and bringing awkwardness to the conversation? The first one? They are very homophobic and because you can’t, by your own omission, beat up women who laugh at you like you can with men, their* ridicule is going to hit harder because there is no coping mechanism or way to gain back that control (violence) that you can fall back on. The 2nd one? They’re pr…

big pay check when they do False. Women are more likely to end up in poverty after a divorce than men and generally have worse economic out comes long term post divorce. This is a very outdated view of marriage and also assumes that people getting divorced are rich. A woman getting a divorce from someone making even 70k a year isn’t getting rich from that, and most people make less than that. awarded to the mother Again, it’s awarded to the custodial parent. That happens to be the mother in most…

why do men loose half their stuff They don’t. They get half the marital assets in divorces. They do not own all of the marital assets in a marriage, half of that is also hers. Most married women (4/5) are working, this is a very outdated way of looking at divorce child support Child support is awarded to the custodial parent, not to the mother. If more men want child support they need to fight for it like how women do. Of the 10% of custody cases that make it to court, 60-90% of the time men get…

Dating is difficult for everyone and someone saying women have it hard isn’t saying men have it easy. Someone who has both legs can climb Mount Everest easier than someone who only has 1 leg— does that mean that climbing Mount Everest is easy for the two legged person? No, easier yes but not easy. We can compare the struggles of one without diminishing the struggles of another.

Hey man, this comment seems to have struck a nerve. She talks about a middle ground between how men and women are treated and you jump to saying men have it bad too— why do you think that is?

Most of those stats are based on data from dating apps. They found that, on average, women on okcupid (and I believe a tinder study later found something similar) rated men on okcupid as being less than average attractiveness while men, on average, rated the women more evenly across the 1-10 scale. The part they leave out (outside of it being a 10+ year old study based on 1-2 dating apps) is that the study also found that women will date / match with men they rated lower than a 5 while men would…

has nothing to do with a girl showing signs of attraction But what is it teaching girls? We are taught how to prevent our rape all the time— this is one of those things. Unless it is called out in the moment, this still teaches girls that there are men who will use their attraction to them against them. not every case is a lie But it’s still the first assumption people make. In order to not take that hit to our reputation it’s safer for us to not show anything until we are sure that’s what we wa…

You’re ignoring the social aspect of admitting your sexual attraction. If women have a bunch of friends that like them sexually and romantically they’re seen as leading people on, having a bunch of simps, or being an attraction whore. Even if it’s just one they’re “using him for his money/time/attention/ some ]personal significant reason here]”. When you tell your friend your feelings to them, for most women, you will put yourself in either in the potential dating box (good) or the men who I kno…

I mean, “she was flirting with him the whole night now way man she just regrets it” has definitely been used against women. Or the classic “you’re such a tease” and “you’re leading him/ me on”. They’re teaching women that showing attraction to a man will be used against them, so it is safer to hide it. There is definitely ways they can be used the same, but I don’t usually see it being used to excuse someone else’s actions.

2a: I think you’re applying reason behind actions a little bit to generally here. You’re equating sexual attraction with safety / relationship worthiness, and safety with friendship. Just because I think someone is a friend doesn’t mean I think they’re fully safe. Just because someone is safe to me, doesn’t mean I have to be attracted to them or think they’re worthy of dating (whatever that means). Women are taught to not trust their male friends from childhood. They’re also taught that any sign…

I think it’s okay if everyone talked about it before they got pregnant/ very early into the pregnancy and you don’t just spring it on them right before / after the baby is born. Signing a birth certificate is a legal contract to that child and the other parent. I view PTs similarly to prenups, it’s only really suspicious if you bring them up out of no where. I think it’s both totally fair if you don’t want to sign the birth certificate without testing first and for them to be offended and not wa…

Just talk to them about what you’d talk to your guy friends about. If they don’t want to talk about ANY of the same things you wouldn’t have a strong relationship to begin with. The women you’re talking to don’t want to talk about sex with you (yet, maybe) so when you go to turn the conversation sexual— say one of the things you think girls don’t talk about. Best case you have a new conversation going that will lead to more. Worse case they stop talking to you (but they would’ve done the same th…

I think the thing people forget with the evolution biology stuff is that for the vast majority of the time that humans have been in existence, humans have not known where babies have come from. Or that sex=babies. Couples at peak fertility have only a 30% chance at conceiving if they do everything right with the knowledge we have now. Looking at cultures that haven’t changed their way at looking at reproduction due to colonialization and the Internet, you’ll see that some of them don’t think men…

I really liked The Hidden Power of Fucking Up by the Try Guys. It’s not the most philosophical or academic but it feels more attainable for the average person than some others I’ve read. I’m not the biggest fan of the buzzfeed style try guys videos so the book isn’t like that at all.

Yes, most pseudoscience feels like common sense. It’s actually one of the main signs of pseudoscience, they’re not relying on the scientific method but on common sense and what feels right Human males did not care about paternity until agriculture. That is not enough time for evolution to take its course. Humans didn’t really know how babies were made for most of human history so there are a lot of different ways men have “made sure” the baby is theirs. In a patriarchal society yeah, evolutionar…

Yes. The patriarchy has been around since agriculture. The patriarchy says that men having a lot of sexual partners is a good thing and female purity being good. I’m saying BEFORE then. Yknow, the vast majority of human history (technically pre history, since history starts with the written record). The patriarchy isn’t something evolution bestowed upon humanity. Before agriculture, human males didn’t care if the baby was theirs. If you want an idea of how people lived before agriculture, you pr…

Outside male isn’t going to work when MEN ACT DIFFERENTLY AROUND OTHER MEN THAN THEY DO AROUND WOMEN. You have no experience being on the receiving end of that manipulation and they not going to show you, a man, their bad side ESPECIALLY IF YOURE HER FAMILY until he is done with the situation. I’m not even saying vetting isn’t a good idea, it would just make more sense to say the women in their life should vet them than the men.

Men having a lot of sexual partners shows potential mates that he may have other children and may need to split his resources among other other women. Making it so that your children have less and are less likely to survive. It is a social thing (mostly pushed by other men) that men are better for having more sexual partners.

Human men didn’t care if the baby was theirs until agriculture and property mattered. They only cared after that because they wanted to pass their stuff down to their kid. Before then all kids were anyone who could be the father. You see that with an African culture (can’t remember the name rn) that believes having sex with a pregnant woman makes you the father of that child. It allows for all the men in the village to feel responsible for that child and (probably) leads to better outcomes, espe…

why not have men friends and family vet the person? “Silly womans. Don’t know how to read men. Should have a man (who doesn’t know how men outside of themselves acts alone with women) decide if he’s a good man for you or not” Do you really think men act the same around other men than they do alone with a woman they think they’ve manipulated them into sleeping with them?

What makes you think collage aged women would want someone in their 30s? Women are the most attracted to people their own age— if you look 40 you’re not going to be able to fake being young enough that those women will like you.

Yes because women are less likely to be hired in those job, there needs to be outside work to make it more equal. Did you click on the links at all? So again, I’d rather be valued for things that I make, not something that I’m born with. You don’t even know me and think my body has more value than my accomplishments. But you think that makes me MORE powerful? Because a dick will get hard when I walk by but I’ll be denied the job for the same reason? Because I have to be over qualified for a job in order to be taken seriously? That makes me more powerful than men? Really?
/r/ExRedPill07/12/22 04:19 PM

Expect I’m not valued for the things I make because of my body. Men do not see me beyond my body to even try and value me beyond it. When I graduated university all people could tell me was that I looked hot in the outfit. It’s nice until you realize no one cares that I graduated, just that I looked good doing it. My accomplishments are worth less since people assume i had to work less to get there

Nah. I don’t chase men because they rape and assault me when I do. And I’m not my body. I’d rather be valued for something I make than something I’m born with. I’d much rather my body be seen as a person rather than an object. But I don’t get to choose how I’m objectified

Reality says that women are attracted to men, your brain in the one telling you it’s not so. When I find a random man attractive, I look then look away and carry on. Your brain would say that I’m not attracted to him since I didn’t stare, when the reality is that I am attracted to him, I just can’t spend all my time looking at him. Everytime I’ve shown interest in a random man I’ve been assaulted, so yeah, I don’t make it obvious, but that doesn’t change the reality that I am attracted to him. Y…

I think this might be a good video for you to watch. It’s a HearhlyGamerGG video about female loneliness. Women can find men who will masterbate into them it is true. It is NOT easier for women to find genuine connections with people. Someone who can afford to buy sex has an easier time getting sex, but it is not the cure for loneliness. Women are also punished socially for having and wanting a lot of sex, this would suggest that having a lot of sex doesn’t make their social lives easier like it…
