Whereas these people obviously haven’t made great choices in life, there is a strong argument for subsidised childcare. Whether kids are born by accident or design, they are no the less here and need prioritising. Childcare is in their best interest but if ran for profit, not all parents could afford and would drastically increase social inequality. Letting both parents work earlier will help new parents carry on with their career, allowing them to progress their wage scale, be more productive a…

If she was American she’d get away with running over a young lad in the U.K. though

If gay people go on a date, who picks up the bill? Why is it any different if the couple are opposing gender? All I read is ignorance to the fact paying a bill is the thin edge of the wedge of the male role in society to be the provider, just as it is imposed on women to be the carer. But we don’t talk about both sides do we? We can fix one side and all will be fine.

‘It would require a much longer article to explain all the differences, but the essence of the legal split between England and America is that if you write something defamatory in London, the burden is on you to prove it is true.’ Inside the Johnny Depp court case https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-54506759 This is what my argument was based on. It is up to the Sun to prove it is true surely? Depp doesn’t have to prove he isn’t a wife beater. Innocent until proven guilty I thought!

This isn’t right. In a libel case it is up to the publisher to prove what they are saying is correct, therefore prove. It isn’t up to the accused to prove they didn’t do what it was.

Agree. See again Intolerance paradox. Intolerance in all its forms should be persecuted and combated. Nobody has the right to an ideology of superiority or wishing harm on others.

Nope. Being tolerant to intolerance is not intolerance, so your statement is incorrect. There’s a damned lot of ideology I hate, everyone hates and with good reason. Granted, in this scenario it’s theft, and not the morally right thing to do but your statement is wrong. Look up Karl Popper and the intolerance paradox.

‘I’m really upset my gender isn’t being represented as I stand here in a Christian Dior gown that took 900hours to make’ This is what really riles me. Gender inequality (which I certainly believe exists- but for BOTH) is used and manipulated to be a smokescreen for the true inequality- wealth. If your born a girl in an affluent western city, go to private school, with parents that enable you to never truly have to worry about keeping a roof over your head- you can be anything you want. Film dire…

Both are wrong. He is making an assumption, and she is making a generalisation. When will we learn?

I’m not defending Islam, nor am I singling it out for attack. It’s just another religion to me. All religions, despite some good also contain utterly deplorable actions or doctrine. It’s how we interpret them and then act upon that belief that shows whether we are good or bad people. Some Muslims are deplorable people, other Muslims are incredible people. It’s not fair to say that all Muslims are bad. It’s ridiculous.

Yeah, religion gives bad people an excuse to do bad things. They are still bad people though.

Gender doesn’t make anybody better or worse, neither does religion. People are good or bad whatever.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
