I think this is a pretty normal take.

I used to go after the type of women I attracted. Now I go after the type of women I see futures with. The women I attracted previously were often toxic or broken in some way - family issues, money issues, feeling insecure or unseen. I was the "fixer" and I liked building these women back up; I think it fed into the base masculine desire or insecurity of being "needed". Now, I go after women who don't really "need" anything from me. I go after women who could benefit my life as well and add to i…

No CMV thread is ever made in true good faith. I doubt any argument or line of thinking could alter your mind on this topic now that it's been made. I personally don't care about this whole "I choose the bear" argument, as nobody I've talked to irl is that online.

I don't think anybody comes here to become a better version of themself.

Their premise is that it doesn’t exist and then you ask them to explain what it is.

It’s not about it being taboo. It’s about only weirdos showing up because nobody normal would attend something like this (in Europe).

An economic issue

No worries pal, but I’m also a guy.

The only people willing to go to these would be caricatures. It is not socially normal to go out into the world and discuss sex and gender issues - especially in the sort of forum you're on about. Only people lacking in social normalcy would attend.

This is one of those popular "unpopular" opinions. Nobody is disagreeing.

People seem to understand that dating for men and women is different and then come out with inane commentary like this. Women simply don't need to handle rejection, so why would they bother. Nobody looks forward to being rejected and if it's not necessary for you at all then why face that possibility?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/24 01:54 PM

1) Yes. Some women are able to. Some date men who want them to be traditional and get a job. 2) anything? ANYTHING? pee standing up and aim it out the window 3) anybody can end a marriage for any reason, right? I'm not sure - not married. Don't think spousal support is much of a thing in the UK. 4) True 5) without the stigma of being a whore? If that were true, then women wouldn't hesitate to share their number of past sexual partners. 6) Don't really understand 7) Relevance 8) Depends on where

here is the cab light theory that says (mostly men) are unavailable until their finances are sorted out I believe this to an extent. I had a lot of change happen in my late teens and early 20s that left me emotionally closed off and entirely numb. Until I started having some financial success in my mid 20s, I was unable to open up emotionally as I felt like I didn't have the spare capacity to do so. Now I am able to clearly form emotional bonds with others that are meaningful to me.

lowered psychological blocks to interaction as there is no "is he talking to me because i wants to get with me" thought.

I think there'll be a marked difference between the feelings of conventionally attractive women and unattractive women on this.

The reason you’re having these responses is because you didn’t clearly state success criteria in your opening post.

I have only been approached once since joining the workforce, otherwise most of my sexual experiences and relationships have been initiated by women ~ probably 60%. This isn't to say I don't initiate, I just struggle to break the psychological barrier to do it unless I have had a few drinks + I rarely, if ever, drink alcohol. Also, when I said above average looking in the previous message that basically means "attainably good looking" - so someone who looks good enough for them not to be judged …

Competitiveness. Some women I’ve talked to always have to win and not winning means becoming a sore loser. That’s not good.

I am already tall, above average looking and neurodivergent I have a short friend who is possibly the most salty and internally angry person I know, so I think I’d rather continue being me Of the relationships I’ve been in, 4 out of 5 of them have been initiated by my partner. I don’t think this would have been the case if I wasn’t the way I am.

You can still be attracted to a 4, but a 4 and a 8 should not be considered in the same thought.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
