I never knew these beliefs even existed, getting laid = rape! This is mind boggling.

I'd be very interested in watching this. The title reminds me of one of my favorite nonfiction books "Black like me" by John Howard Griffin, where he disguises himself as a black man and travels to the deep south to see what it was like for blacks in the late 1950's. The more I think about it the more I can't wait to see what insights she may have seeing as how the shoe would be on the other foot.

You're absolutely right, unless I'm in immediate danger I'll still remain a pacifist.

I really don't think so, the system rewards those who toe the line. I don't think anyones career has suffered the consequences from the fallout of their misjudgement, which is really damning on our criminal justice system. The people who ultimately play a part in a persons conviction is to numerous for this to even be a problem, from the police officers to CSI, witnesses, prosecutors, judge and jury.

To be falsely tried and convicted in a court of law is a great injustice, But heads should roll for anyone who played a part in their conviction, Being killed by the state for a crime you didn't commit is a real travesty and this is why I could never support capital punishment. I'm not much of a conspiracy theorist but the recent supreme court ruling has me believing these false convictions occur more than we could possibly imagination and they'd like to keep the true scope of this injustice hid…

I pirate a lot of T.V shows made in the U.K and I'm astounded by the number of times I've seen the word pedo thrown around by kids/teens themselves on some shows. They're creating a hysteria over there at a rate I'd guess is much faster than the U.S. The show Law and order tends to have storylines that pours flames on the fire, But it seems like every genre from a U.K T.V show I watch has to give pedophilia a mention which I think is a really disturbing trend.

FTA tl;dr : Between humongous loan balances and high rates, we had hung ourselves with the rope they gave us.

I believe your assessment is correct in regard to how much worse the act is, just how it's perceived by the public itself.

CNN has a more in-depth article. This dude spent ten years in prison as a convicted rapist, I can't imagine the hardship of living that way. Shit like this always pisses me off because the justice system isn't alway's right and yet people continue advocating for capital punishment as if we make no mistakes at all.

No, I'm saying he's more likely to be a catalyst for a national discourse than anyone else in the media spotlight.

That's assuming he can actually maintain his annual income, in the meantime this chick will bleed him dry under the pretenses of supporting his child.

Levi Johnston is in a better position to do so with national media covering the Palins. He's a young father with a high school education and he's about to get shafted by the system. I hope his plight brings about a national discussion for how messed up the system is.

Her mom is an advocate of abstinence yet she her self is proof it doesn't work. Do as I say, not as I do.

I ran a Tor exit node for a year and after reading that article when it was first published decided against doing so. I don't have the resources to defend myself should anyone try to tarnish my reputation or imprison me.

I said it before and I'll say it again these policy's appearing in so called democracy's allows for a modern day witch hunt and nothing more. Who in there right mind could live under these circumstances after being ostracized from the people you care about after being falsely accused of a crime so heinous that people will forever doubt your innocence. In the U.S, I seriously believe the sex offenders registry falls under cruel and unjust punishment. If these people are a danger to society and ha…

Thinking about own experiences being babysat by my older cousin and some other guys, I have to agree with you. Friday nights were pretty damn awesome! Edit: My babysitters were chosen by my mom because my parents were separated.
