Oh! Here's one i utilized recently. Picture this: you have a clumsy moment and knock a candelabra full of red candle wax onto your freshly cleaned white carpet. Don't freak! Just grab some rags and heat up your iron. Place the rags over the wax and iron gently over the rags. It should pick the wax right up! Just use some stain remover afterwards on the carpet and problem solved. I've also heard it works using paper bags but I haven't tried that.

My evenings have become very odd as of late. My husband now works afternoon to early morning so I don't see him much during the week. I cook dinner for the both of us and put his portion in the fridge. I also set a glass in the freezer to chill for his beer. Sometimes I'll leave a cutesy note on the fridge for him. I tidy up the house so he comes home to peace and quiet, and go to bed early. I do this so I can wake for a few minutes when he gets home to greet him. Friday nights I stay up to be w…

I'm working towards him coming home to a clean home every night. Housework is something I struggle with though, but having his happiness as my motivator is helping immensely. I need to find a special something for him to come home to, like you did with your husband's shows. I think I might follow /u/SuperSlavisWife idea about baking, as I used to bake for him quite a bit when we were teenagers.

I've been leaving notes for him lately about this and that, he seems to like it more than random texts! I made an effort this week to get up before him on Saturday and start breakfast and clean a bit, which he absolutely adored. I hadn't thought about flowers or something extra for the table! It would definitely be a mood booster. And I absolutely adore f.lux! It has made all the difference.

He put me in charge of picking out an activity for the both of us to do on the weekend and running the plan by him. It gives us both something to look forward to when the week is long!

I've been working on having a clean home for him. Being a new wife and all, housework and household management is not my forte yet, but I'm making a more concentrated effort now that he comes home tired. Knowing he is doing this for us and our future gives me such a boost, I find just thinking about it motivates me to go clean something. Adjusting my schedule is hard because I work early, but I have been making sure to get up for at least a few minutes when he gets home. Thank you for reminding …

Listen to their concerns politely and address them one by one. Thats how I (20) did it.

I don't care what they say being fat is not healthy. Men are naturally attracted to healthy (not fat) women, it's basic evolution. Strong men want strong women.

RPW has helped a lot with my mental issues. I have anger management issues that stem from anxiety. It used to be that when I did not feel in control I would get anxious, and lash out as a result. Letting my husband be in control has granted me some freedom from my anxiety. I know he is in control, and things will be righted in the end. When I do get anxious and start getting into a tizzy, my DH knows that I'm feeling like I have no control over events and will give me a task. Laundry? I can do t…

We agreed we don't need to get each other anything for Christmas because we're getting married next week and that's enough of a gift. I did buy him some new tie down straps for his truck though because he's mentioned it a few times this month.

It's a happy idea, but I doubt anything that could tear my marriage asunder would result in my SO and I being friends. I remember we actually had this conversation a few nights ago, and we came to the conclusion that it would take something horridly out of character and awful for us to split apart, and friendship probably wouldn't be an option.

Most of us are though, aren't we? I think it's a good thing in some aspects though. Being aware of what my SO thinks of me helps me be a better mate. Being aware of what my coworkers, bosses, and charges think is important too, it helps me be a better worker. Knowing what others think of you helps you fit into society. Being OBSESSED is what so many women get stuck on, creating a self centered mentality, which is one of the worst traits a woman can have, in my opinion.

I'm a little older than you, 20, almost 21. I'm not married yet, but I'm getting married in a few weeks, so most people who are around me are aware and already treat us as one unit. My SO and I have been together for 6 years now so those closest to us have told us they've been expecting it. My family is very supportive, all of our grandparents approve of our traditional choices, and have been absolutely wonderful in their support. We've faced opposition from his parents who seem to think we'll n…

This quite literally terrifies me. The writer is quite literally insane. The fact that more than one person believes this is a good idea also terrifies me. These people are advocating for the genocide of a large portion of the population! This is not ok! Could you imagine the shit storm that would be caused if the roles were reversed? So many parts of this article further my belief that feminists are bat shit insane. Banning penetrative sex and gynecology because they're oppressive? Wut. I will …

I personally enjoy wearing hose when I'm in more formal business attire or dressing up for a night on the town, but if it's casual, very rarely, and even then, mostly in the colder months. But it's your personal choice! Do what makes you comfortable :)

I'm also between jobs at the moment (thankfully, I start my new one next week!) so I have all of this free time to be a house wife! He loves it, I love it, it's just a shame we can't afford to make that a full time reality just yet. But this gives me so much free time to do the things that need to be done! Silver linings :) I think this way of wedding planning really demonstrates our relationship (and many others!) he gives me what needs to be done, and I help carry out the plan with his input!

I was 14, and he was 17. Quite scandalous really, when we got together, me being a freshman, and him a senior. We met through mutual friends, and were just friends for about two weeks, until he asked me if I wanted to go out on a date over MySpace. He told me recently that he almost didn't ask me out because he thought my friends were too gossipy and pushy towards him about it! We're going on 6 years of dating and are going to be married this December :)

There it is! Your last paragraph is what I needed to see in words, it all just clicked I think. Perfect!

This is why we don't have time :) We are both in full belief that it's just a day. Because it really is. He scoffs at the "bridezilla" idea because he just can't see why anybody would want to marry a harpy like that. I will not let planning get in my way of "us" time because that is what a wedding all about. If we let our relationship fall during wedding planning, then what is the point? It is sage advice though, that you have given me, more women need to understand this!

Now THAT'S teamwork! Our issue is just time, hopefully things will slow down in the fall! I think our planning will look more like what you did once business slows down a bit :)

I like this a lot, it is very organized. I think I could even go through this during dinner tonight with him!

Are you me? This sounds a lot like us. Pinterest has been a great source of eye rolling from my SO, but he has mentioned a few things that he's liked off of what I've shown him. I really like the idea of running the ideas by him before I just plow ahead and go crazy.

15 minutes?? I think he'd be into that idea for flowers, decorations, etc. All of the frilly things he doesn't want to deal with :)

That's a lot of what I've been doing so far, it's been working for my ideas, I just need to make sure his ideas are getting put in as well :)

I think this is the route I'm going to take first, this way, I'll know what I can just hammer out on my own, and I'll come up with ideas for his favorites. I like the idea of giving him veto power!

An infographic would be helpful in this situation! I should research some wedding planning books to pull stuff out of for him.

I've always found this rings true. If you complain about your SO to others, it opens up him, you, and your relationship to criticism because people now have a negative thought in their mind about you both. Him, for what you said, and you because you said it. Not only is that embarrassing, but it ultimately fires back onto you, tarnishing your reputation. Talking behind your SO's back is shameful, something best left to catty high schoolers.

Oh, that's perfect! I like the idea of planning ahead for the conversation. I definitely think that this way it won't feel like more on his plate :)

I have no issues communicating with my fiance. That is not my concern. I mentioned that we have discussed our general visions. I'm looking for advice on how to include him in planning what is typically a female dominated activity. Wedding planning takes a lot of sitting down and phone calls, which he just does not have the time to do. What I need is a way to find the information efficiently so we can do better things with our days than just sitting around and discussing a party.

All of that music is so soothing, I'm sure he'd appreciate it. Not so sure I could sing it though! That DID give me the idea of singing Enya around the house, I think she really mimics that feel!

Yikes, I'm not sure if my SO would appreciate me screeching black metal while cleaning... hahaha.
