2	Daughter Came Out as a Man People get tattoos (back when it was far less socially acceptable) and there are people who intentionally dress outside of social norms (dressing Goth or Emo used to be very shocking). Today, those things are a lot more normal, so it is only extreme body modifications that stand out. Some people have always intentionally done things that have hurt their social standing and caused them to be socially outcast. 2	Get over being unattractive. Does this really surprise anybody? Plenty of studies have been done on large quantities of data from dating sites and they all point to this being true. Repeat your experiment with race being a variable and you will be even more surprised. An ugly white guy will have far more success than an above average black or Asian guy and you can't change your race. Some people get dealt much better hands, but you can't do anything about that.
