Do women stop being feminine when they are older? You gave examples such as height for masculinity, and you gave youth as an example for femininity. Was Queen Elizabeth less feminine in old age?

Also, the couples that I know personally who are married all met through college. I don’t know of any couples in my life, parents’ generation or otherwise, who DIDN’T meet in college.

I’m not a fool. I know that a man older than me has had more time to learn how to lie and obfuscate their mistakes with distance and generalizations. Young men are more honest and their time is accounted for.

I think if a man was seeking someone to be a partner in life, he’d seek out someone who had at least a full time job and financial savvy after living on her own a few years. The fact that I was still financially dependent on my parents should throw off any honest man older than 24. Hence, if an older man is dating a young woman still in college, he isn’t really seeking a wife or a LTR. He wants young pussy lol. This is preemptive deduction. I’m not going to wander into the city wide eyed and ass…

I’m my college years, 3+ years was the oldest I’d go. Any older and I’d feel used for my body and youth. Now that I’m 22 and working, I’d be willing to date up to 5 years older, but only if he’s actually made use of his extra 5 years of age — appropriate career progression, wealth accumulation, life experiences, and strong friendships.

Same for women. I see a lot of cute, happy women every day but men will rate them as “mid” or “you can do better bro”

As a child of divorce, I am happy that my parents divorced when they did. My mom was fully capable of raising myself and my brother on her own (with the help of church sisters and neighbors on occasion). While I feel that I matured a little quicker than the ideal (I was 7, brother was 4) and I had a bit of an issue trusting my stepfather at first (I was 11), I think I turned out much happier and confident than I would have seeing my parents in a tense, loveless relationship. In contrast, my step…

Yes. 5'4, 125lb, Asian. Lots of guys interested in sex, not so many guys interested in a LTR leading to marriage where both of us benefit. May be due to 2 factors – was not mentally healthy until recent year or so, also my age bracket in a liberal uni means not many men want serious relationships.

Insecure women are a little whiny. Insecure men tend to project their insecurities on the outside world. I have some masculine facial features despite being a cis woman. That has turned men off before. I kinda just roll with it, like rip, what can I do besides get surgery, you know? Men on the other hand are more prone to get dangerous with insecurity. It's my fault if I'm more educated or earn more than him because he's insecure about his job. It's my fault if I dress hot when I go out with him…

21F, virgin. Have had a number of boyfriends but only done 2 BJs, the rest never went beyond heavy petting / mutual masturbation. Penetrative sex has a lot of consequences for women. Birth control will fuck with your mental health. IUDs are invasive and expensive. Men can’t be 100% trusted with condoms, especially if they aren’t married to you. Penetrative sex isn’t ever going to be so fun that it outweighs the risk of premarital PIV. I’d rather be healthy than fuck. And any man who pressures me…

Women need to feel comfortable with the man. She needs to know he's safe to be around, can be trusted, and cares deeply about her pleasure. How can a woman feel comfortable if it's just a one night stand? It takes weeks of building trust, of continuous green flags, in addition to the man being hot. It takes diligence and a lot of time for men to understand what exactly each particular woman's clit needs, because every clit is different. Same with BJs. However, men can just do PIV according to th…

All of them seem to have Alzheimer's. They have SO much trouble recalling simple details whereas women will remember things down to the last blade of grass. I'm like – y'all claim you're smarter and more superior and competent but why do I remember your schedule better than you do???

Max 4 years up, min my age. I'm 21, graduating college this academic year, with a full time 6 figure job lined up post grad. If he can't do laundry, cook for himself, budget, held a job before, or dress himself appropriately then it's an automatic dealbreaker. Sadly most men my age are still incompetent, so I wouldn't bother lowering my age threshold. The ideal is a man my age, at my stage in life, with my level of competency or higher. it's like taking a shit. if your partner is constipated, that's not healthy. if your partner is spewing explosive diarrhea, that's not healthy. a lot of men fall into the former category with their emotions and hurr durr their way into thinking that communication + emotional vulnerability = diarrhea. Woman here. At my age (early to mid 20s), a count over 10 in a man is a red flag. I’ve also attempted to be with a virgin but although I too am a virgin, male virgins simply don’t have the confidence physically to be fun when cuddling or making out. They freak out really easily and I hate having to teach someone to be comfortable with their own body. Like goddammit, I’m supposed to be the anxious one I can’t handle you too lmao. So n count of 1-3 within the confines of a long (9mo+) relationship…

Yeah women care. I feel secondhand embarrassment whenever I walk past a couple where the woman is wearing a cute outfit and nice shoes and the man is in a pair of scruffy ASICS, cargo shorts, and t shirt with holes at the collar. I decided that I’m never going to be the female half of that sort of couple. It’s too common. I want a man who has self respect enough to present himself decently when going out. I don’t care what he wears to lounge and hike so long as it’s comfortable and appropriate, …

Ah. I’m basing this off the most successful people I know, who have ridiculously low n counts. We have different experiences I suppose. Perhaps a better way to state my claim is that busy people don’t have time for sex. Truly busy people. Not “busy” people.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/21 10:41 PM

I don’t see how our comments contradict each other. Busy people who have interesting hobbies don’t feel the need to go out and party. Humility and speaking little usually mean that when they do say something it’s quite perceptive or interesting.

Busy people have less time to goof off. For both men and women — look at people who are academically and professionally successful — not the ones who posture and brag, but the quiet, humble ones in both genders tend to keep to their own business and have true confidence in themselves such that they don’t seek validation from the opposite sex.

Late to the party but — I’ve had many opportunities for casual sex. I struggle with self worth issues. My piece of shit father left when I was 7 and my slightly less shitty stepfather was overly critical. As the older child and a daughter there was a lot of pressure to make straight A’s, take all the AP classes, take care of my chores, and still remain unflappable and courteous at all times. Because it’s not something I can control. You are complimenting my state of being, not my acts of doing. What I do can be controlled, my breast size is not something I control. Acceptable compliments are: hairstyle, shoes, how I dress myself, my makeup choices — because these are all things that represent me as a human. I didn’t spring from the womb or go through puberty carefully curating my boob or butt size. I had no control over that. “Compliments” about those mean that you value my body ove…

I disagree. I think my parents splitting up was for the best. It’s not good for kids to be around a parent who’s abusive to the other. If I had continued growing up in that situation my picker would have been calibrated horribly.

If a man leaves his wife that’s totally fine. If it’s because he’s monkey branching, that’s repulsive because it smells like he can’t live even for a year by himself. It reeks of insecurity, which is not an attractive masculine trait. Leaving? Yeah leave if your partner isn’t what you want. But don’t leave because suddenly some better option came along. Leave because you’d rather be alone than with that person.

As an add on — this means you need to actually know the woman better than a stranger. No idiot should be approaching within 5 minutes of meeting someone. Casual contact over time will allow you to see if she’s actually interested or not. This also means that men need to consistently go to coed social activities.

Sex is only guaranteed to get the man off (classic penetration) so yes I’d need time specifically focused on my own pleasure. Boggles the mind when I see men on Reddit whining that they aren’t getting blowies or penetration when their wife is preggo and nauseous but they won’t go down on them.

Yes, but their standards from men are very high because we’re picky. (Hence low N count). Their type is usually educated gentleman. What an American might sneer at as being “simp”-y, but they just don’t rely on aggression and peacocking and instead are very selective with the women they pursue. These men also generally have a distaste for casual sex. I find them generally in hard sciences (physics, engineering). Hair: wash 4x / week, 20min shower + 15 min styling and applying products = ~ 2 hours/week. I also spent a lot of time figuring out the best hair routine for me and bought a frickin silk pillowcase ($40), along with hair oils ($10/bottle) and sewed together a couple of t shirts to dry my hair with. Personally I would have no concerns at this point. I think it’s easier to frame it as “he, as a regular 20 year old, experimented with what he wanted” vs “men are unfeeling creatures when it comes to sex.” Men display lowered pair bonding with increased promiscuity, same as women.

It’s totally normal for you to feel this way. Man whores have never been attractive and should not be praised as “Chads”. However, this is something you should have realized and noticed at the start. But like other commenters have said, he chooses to be with you now. It’s a lot harder since you haven’t been with other men before (tbh if you had 1-2 previous partners this may be an easier experience for you) but most people don’t end up with their first. Some advice I’d give to my freshman year self: it’s tempting to get into a relationship because college is new and scary and you want someone in your corner, but don’t do it. Focus on building strong friendships and joining clubs for things you’re excited about. If you have control over your allowance now is also the time to experiment with what you like on your body. It is if your main goal in platonic friendship is eventual romance. If you genuinely are friends with a woman because you wanted to be friends with them then oops both of you caught feelings, that’s quite understandable. Here’s a lil tip: be friends with women because they’re people, not because you eventually want to fuck them. Put away your horny brain.

There is no 100% certain way to tell if a girl is flirting with you or sending IOIs either. Dating wasn’t meant for strangers. It was meant for acquaintances and friends and family connections. One woman’s flirt is another woman’s normal behavior. One man’s respectful approach is another man’s creepiness. So how do you interpret things correctly? GET TO KNOW THE PERSON PLATONICALLY FIRST. Sheesh.

Drinks are a red flag. Drinks are meant to lower inhibitions and create false intimacy and make you more likely to sleep with them. Stupid decisions are made while tipsy. You’re right to stay away from them. Culture difference or no, never be vulnerable around a stranger. Oh. You’re broke. Don’t date until you can support yourself and afford a couple weekly extras. Benedict cumberbatch and Adam driver aren’t hot. They’re just white with dark hair and play interesting characters. I acknowledge there are mean girls. They’re usually much rarer and direct their meanness to women in their female circles while I’ve seen PLENTY of condescending rude men. There was a post by an autistic guy at some point where he said that while women wouldn’t necessarily go out of their way to be friends with him, they’d at least treat him politely and with kindness. RMV: not going to be less sensitive than I am. My sensitivity allows me to read social situations much better than the average person and I can be more compassionate at appropriate times. I like being moved to tears when I see a heartwarming/tragic situation. I like feeling joy when there’s a pretty flower or a beautiful sunset. I’ve interacted with these women before. It’s a game — they are insecure and they want to be seen as the alpha female. If you play that game and ingratiate yourself to her (you can do this with dignity, it’s not demeaning) then you get more privilege and social capital with that proximity. Compliment her on the things she obviously cares about. She will relax more around you. This might be a more clear example, but every social circle has an alpha female. If it’s not intentional, then it shows he doesn’t have intentions. This is a rather spicy adage but it’s never failed me — “if he wants you, you’ll know. If he doesn’t, you’ll be confused.” Sounds to me like you’re confused.
/r/RedPillWomen17/08/21 09:34 PM

It sounds like future faking — might be trying to make you more attached than you should by playacting about house and babies, but not actually having those intentions. I think a general rule of thumb is that a man will make his intentions clear — they tend to be much more direct than women. If he’s not direct, then he isn’t sure of his own intentions, and that’s a major turn off.

I’m a submissive woman in my relationships with men. Quite frankly, I don’t want to have make decisions. I tend to get caught up in minutiae and get anxious if I have to make too many decisions. Dominant men don’t seem to have that issue. I don’t care about 90% of things that happen so long as I’m safe, employed/employable, able to eat healthy food, and with my partner and have access to my friends. Because that means 80% of the time women get fed up with subpar treatment, in which case, 80% of men wake up! .... or they just happen to do the paperwork because they do everything else around the house too. I have a quibble with part 3. There’s a big difference between someone leaving their dirty socks around ONCE... and making it a habit. Emotional incontinence is a poor way to describe open communication. The point isn’t to let it build up into a rage. It’s to wait long enough to know whether something is a problem that bothers you enough. So a midway point. First couple times, eh, rough week. Continuous habit that ticks you off? Bring it up once you know it will CONTINUE ticking you off. Don’t w…

Im not in a serious relationship yet but I find that having an appreciation booklet is really helpful in my relationships with friends and housemates. If a man wants to be the leader in a relationship and wants a feminine woman, he pays for the first few dates. I have zero issue letting a man lead the relationship if he shows strong leadership qualities. One of those qualities involves being willing to invest and take smart risks, and that involves paying for the first few dates. Of course if a man doesn’t pay and doesn’t exhibit leadership qualities alongside “basic decent human” qualities, then I decline further dates. It’s not usually cut a…

FDS has legitimately helped my dating life. It sounds harsh but the crux of it is “set and enforce your boundaries,” and for women conditioned to prioritize other’s happiness over their own, the repeated harsh language is necessary. You don’t look at someone in a building about to collapse and say “hey darling, sweetie, maybe think about getting out”, no you say “GET THE FUCK OUT” and that’s what FDS tries to do for women who tend to be kind and sweet and self-denying. Cheating is what happens when a man wants to “win” but can’t feel like he’s “winning” in the written, agreed upon contract, so he bends the rules. A man of honor lives by his word. A sleazy LVM feels no remorse about going back on his word because his promises mean jack shit. So your premise is entirely false. A HVM wouldn’t cheat or go after other women. A HVM is a man of honor. The man you’re describing is a LVM.

Having someone push you towards femininity will only drive them away more. Focus on loving your sister no matter what. Other commenters have already touched on her mental health and that’s honestly the most important thing — whether she’s happy dressing in boxy athleisure, baggy jeans and dad sweaters, or cute dresses, the most important thing is that she is happy and taking care of herself. Do NOT force her towards femininity. She’ll gradually figure out what she likes. Be a supportive loving o…

I think a woman’s definition of a HVM is different than a man’s. To a woman a HVM has many options, but is a man of honor who respects the commitment he makes to his wife. Cheating and violating that promise is a mark of dishonesty and low value. Honor contributes to a man’s high value, sleaziness in a man — no matter how hot, rich, and tall they are — is low value.

I think most men would want their kids to be educated and raised by an intelligent mother, that’s the only criteria these commenters are missing. Building emotional intimacy over text is a great way to get a woman hooked without anything real being there. It also sounds like you’re being too physical already and spending WAY too much time together. 8 hours spread over a week is normal, 8 hours at once is not. There are men with actual mental health issues who will keep you informed of their status but also be willing to listen to your problems and respect your time and energy enough to not vent at all hours of the day.

record scratch you have a child with this man who won’t even marry you? Why are you with him? Conservative Christianity doesn’t even encourage sexual intimacy before marriage. What is your reasoning for being a wife to a man who doesn’t want to be your husband? Why are you in this relationship? Asking these questions for your benefit, you don’t have to respond here.

I guess my definition of manly is self assured, confident. And that confidence doesn’t depend on how much pussy he gets. I find it really attractive and masculine when I tell him that I do not plan on having sex before marriage, he says ok, but continues to act just as confidently as before. I’m also not saying that a man HAS to stay with a girl who chooses to be celibate. I’m saying a manly men will respect her choice and not pressure her. He will then either take his leave, or stay and not che…

Hi! I was raised religious but no longer place a huge priority on it, and I date mainly atheist men. I am also planning to be celibate til marriage. If they are worthy of being called a man, they will respect your choices FULL STOP. I have never had an issue with a guy pressuring me for sex. NEVER. And we’d do typical bf gf things like getting food, going on day trips, etc. For a man worthy of being called a man, the celibacy is not an issue and will usually increase his respect for you. I’m gonna have to disagree here. Girls at my church are super innocent and are watched like hawks even throughout college by church elders and adult church employees. I actually left Bc of how restrictive it was an how little freedom I as a girl had. Mate it’s called conservative Christianity and genuine faith. Look it up.

The girls who care about maintaining virginity won’t marry a high n count man. They’re usually religious and will only be willing to date a religious man who is similarly chaste, or if he’s had a sexual encounter he is overwhelmingly repentant about it. If you want to be a hoe, don’t expect to settle with a virgin.

Is it neurotic to organize things and be on top of tasks? Is it normal for someone to be bad at managing one’s time? Is someone dependable and thoughtful if they fail SEVERAL college classes? One, sure. Two, eh. SEVERAL? That shows a severe lack of critical thinking and a lack of desire to improve oneself. This is a dealbreaker to me. I recommend you think less about his salary and more about his behavior patterns that would make him a good captain and provider.

Pro tip from r/femalefashionadvice: if you have a cute outfit that you want to wear out but are a little nervous to do so, go to the grocery store in it first. There’s no one you know, it’s a low stress environment, and people go to the grocery store at all times (after work, before a party, etc) so you won’t look out of place. You know what? You’re right. People want to marry someone of the same social class. So if a woman doesn’t go to college and instead goes to trade school, she’d be better off with a guy who also works in the trades. A degree is a sign of breeding and cultural values. There is no other way to indicate this. This makes having a degree extremely important. What people also forget is that college shapes who you are as a person. Is there something wrong with having a career for financial independence, meeting someone with similar interests and financial background, and cutting down hours after marriage? You disagree that it is dehumanizing. Yet popular porn simply shows women as props for the expression of sexual desire by men. There is straight porn that shows sexy, mutually consenting, sensual desire, but it’s rare and hard to find. You can look up incestual rape and how its rise is linked to the prevalence of stepsister/stepbrother porn. Humans will find intercourse and porn hot, we’re biologically programmed to. But only reinforcing the aggressive aspects of sex is not good.

Finding a man who’s not super religious who’s willing to wait til marriage for penetrative sex. I’m Christian but not super gung ho fundamentalist, but I still want to wait til marriage for sex. I’m a legit virgin, like I’ve kissed and made out and groped/been groped a little and I know enough about how I react to physical touch to know that I don’t want to feel those bonding hormones (that come with sex) with anyone else other than someone I’m committed to for life. A lot of guys are scared off…

Hmm... another example I can give is my friend’s roommate who is an English lit major who found her engineering SO on online dating. I think the qualities that make that work is that they both are from a more “redneck” tradcon area of California so they’re incentivized to go for a more settled life and they’re planning to get married soon while they’re still in their early twenties. Yes, they’re both white. But this is highly unlikely. Idk what ethnicity you’re from but you sound South Asian, an…

I have multiple examples of homemakers with happy families, and some without. The wives that are happiest are of similar age to their husbands, and have advanced degrees (PhD in math/electrical engineering) and they met their husbands in college in the same major. They then gave up their careers after having children but are still super involved in the advanced STEM programs at their kids’ schools. As a child, I benefitted a lot from the work that some of these women did and I can attribute my s…

With all due respect, the original post came off as extremely fishy and clickbaity. I’ve seen a lot of other posts by women looking for friends but they seemed like normal women, not a walking collection of stereotypes. This seemed really odd and different because of how OP described themself (every tradcon stereotype), the age (18), and some other uncanny valley vibes. They also seemed much less mature than an 18 year old, which made it feel like it was an older person cosplaying as one. She al…

I have a few friends who also had single mothers. It was always the man who decided he wanted a younger woman, to “further his career” by moving across the world. I’ve never heard of a woman who’d willingly get rid of her coparent.

Hm try again. My father ditched us because he didn’t want the responsibility of having kids. It was pretty unilateral. Even when my brother ran out to beg him to stay (he was 5) my father just shook him off and drove off. He also didn’t pay any child support and basically acted like we didn’t exist.

There are probably 10 men I can name who are “really good guys” right now. They are PLENTY. His downsides are bigger than most downsides. Most men will maybe enjoy video games a little more than is ideal, women will be a little obsessed with social media, these are common faults for young people. His downsides are enormous, glaring burdens that, as a fellow 21 y/o raised by a single parent, I will say are TERRIBLE FOR YOU AND YOUR MENTAL HEALTH.

I have many outdoor cats and the common association between women and cats is true — after interacting with my cats I feel calmer, more elegant, dainty, but also powerful and secure in my own being. Be like a cat :) Update: I read the folktale, and while it is a good lesson, men are more dangerous than tigers in that one has to actually live with them. Do you think medieval women just laid around and did nothing? They work just as hard as the men and they were valued for how they could contribute to the household in that way. Labeling everything as PC when it’s simply a compliment that’s not shallow is really snowflake behavior.

This exactly. I love compliments about the things I care about and take pride in — my work ethic, my occupation, my clothes. Never compliment a woman’s natural attractiveness casually. Only in a romantic context. Compliment things that women have control over.

Please treat her kindly. Pickme’s suffer a lot from being taken advantage of because they have trouble enforcing boundaries. If she looks uncomfortable don’t push her to do anything (sexual or non sexual). I’m speaking as a former pickme myself. You need to lead and set the pace, don’t dive all in just because she wants to.

You know that it’s super easy for a woman to attract a guy. This includes good, bad, meh, etc. being a pickme is just going with the first guy that wants you. That’s a REALLY LOW BAR considering the amount of attention women get. If a pickme throws herself at you, it’s because you gave her attention that she lacks in her life. It doesn’t mean you’re a good guy. It doesn’t mean you’re good for her. It means you happen to be male and you happened to give her attention. Why would you want a pickme …

Strength is not muscles. Strength is mental fortitude. Strength is a mother tiger. Strength is holding fast to your morals and boundaries. Strength is not tolerating bullshit. Pickme’s usually have mental health issues that lead them to choose being picked over waiting for a healthy relationship. They have trouble upholding their boundaries. They are overeager to please and don’t have personal goals. They center their lives around pleasing their man. It does feel trivial to just be reduced to a baby making machine and maid and sex toy. One thing I like to remind myself is that the social nature of women is the societal glue of humanity. Without that, there’s no point in men fighting for honor, because there’s nothing to fight for without a loving, harmonious society. And women create that. In that case, women should attach more emotional value to sex. It clearly means much more to women than to men if you’re willing to sleep around.

I like the idea of cooking for my boyfriend, but that doesn’t make me a better girlfriend than one who doesn’t. It’s irritating that “cooking” is listed as a requirement for a high value woman when it usually isn’t for a man. Cooking is an act of love, and to emphasize it more in women is insulting to men. It almost sounds like “men, you don’t know how to cook and you’re too stupid to learn, so don’t even bother”

RP stuff as a girl was harmful to myself and many young women I know. Childhood isn't the age where you tell girls to settle for less than ideal behavior of boys. It isn't the age where you tell girls that their purpose in life is to be a homemaker. It is the age where I wish I was encouraged to dream and reach for the stars and play and get dirty in the mud and to have a lot of self worth in my own person, not how I related to boys and men. Avoid romantic fantasies at all costs. It is as harmfu…

Hmm... it sounds like you have an issue with tidiness, not coziness. Don’t buy anything to fill up the space if it’s already limited. What helped for me (I live in a 2b2b with 3 other girls) was having a place for everything that was universally acknowledged — this means that your partner needs to be on board with where things go as well <— IMPORTANT. After you’re done using something, put it away. If you changed out of jeans into pjs, fold it and put it away. If you used scissors, place it back…

Great post! I’d suggest replacing (1) with anything spiritual — your religion, being in tune with yourself and other people around you, including witchy things if you’re into that as well.

yup as a woman I will say that sometimes I'll go to tinder for validation lmao *yes this is unhealthy, yes therapy is on my calendar when I am looking for someone though, turn ons are: - responds in a timely manner but also in a way that shows he has a life outside of tinder thirst – typically a few hours. anything over 10 hours shows he isn't actually interested and I have cancelled dates because the guy wouldn't respond fast enough for me to get a confirmation on my calendar and i had already …

I definitely think the author of FW makes many good points. But examples of successful marriages are very rarely found between wildly successful individuals. One spouse almost always suffers. Normal people who live honest and healthy lives are probably the best role models.

Pre-homework: have conversations with the female friends in your life who you are not romantically attracted to. Talk to your mother and your sister. Have a conversation with them about anything — how their day was, what they’re currently working on in life, normal human stuff. After you spend some weeks or months speaking to women you are not romantically interested in, THEN go on tinder. Do: be honest. Do not: “hi” “hey” “what’s up” as the first line Do: ask for what you want Do not: lie about…

These historical examples conveniently leave out Sofia’s side of the story. I don’t doubt that FW is a worthwhile read, but it could do without the leaps of logic based on limited historical information. Leo married Sofia when he was 34 and she was 18 — there is already an unfavorable power dynamic there. He had sexual relations with many other women and TOLD HER ABOUT IT the night they got married. He fathered a child by another woman. Sofia was his copyist — she wasn’t exactly an awful wife. Y…

I don’t see why people are downvoting OP. She’s answering genuinely and this is one of the more trad leaning spaces which she may have been used to.

ah, gotcha! It seems that RPW praises this book a lot so I thought it was the guiding philosophy of this subreddit.

I read about Mumtaz - what sort of domestic qualities did she have? She was literally an empress – I doubt she knew much about housekeeping. She had a lot of children but that was a result of their "erotic, passionate" love and a lack of birth control. Many died. How would you suggest balancing what men find valuable and women find valuable in oneself? Being the perfect woman for men is one pursuit, but erases a lot of the human value that women appreciate in each other – the artistic traits, th…

He’s putting the responsibility of his emotional state on you — this is NOT healthy. An emotionally mature man would proactively suggest an activity for you both to do to take his mind off of things. It’s not your job to read his mind. I’ve been with enough guys who do this when they’re upset to know that no matter how handsome or charming they are, it is not worth being his therapist. He will only lean on you more and more. If he needs to be consoled, console him. If he wants to hang out with y…

You want certainty and commitment and this man isn’t demonstrating that he’ll provide it. You are totally able to start over at 42 — it’ll be more difficult than in your mid 20s but plenty of older women in my life have found happiness with their second partner rather than the one they found in their naive youth.

this^^^ when girls date shitty men, their girlfriends try their best to point out better alternatives, which may piss them off but it's well meaning. give her the benefit of the doubt. if she's been your friend for a while, she usually has a vested interest in trying to make your life better. don't take this maliciously until you clarify.

As a Christian virgin who is friends with other Christian virgins, (repeated!!!) sexual immorality is a huge turn off... And typically only practicing Christians remain abstinent. Practicing Christians want to find other practicing Christians. good luck tho?

My mom is a nurse and makes $80 an hour. More than just the grossness of it all, think about how much time you’re wasting chasing pennies instead of getting an actual secure job.

out of curiosity, as a religious person yourself, have you slept with any women?

sounds like you actually have some self control and decency then, unlike some guys i've known who want to date virgins but pressure them into sex almost immediately. Still though – women who are virgins are usually religious, which prohibits men from having premarital sex as well. good luck finding an atheist virgin.

then don't have your future wife sleep with you until you are married, because until you are married, you're just another LTR that could end at any time.

You seem really honest and I’m sorry there are so many rude people commenting right now. I’m 20 years old and a virgin and I want a monogamous relationship for the security. I want to love someone and be with them for life because they are interesting, dependable, and loving. I want deep trust between myself and my partner that lasts. I want a stable home with children who never worry about their parents divorcing or having other adults in and out of their home. I’m ok with my partner sleeping w…

OP, look at this comment. There was a story on Reddit about a woman whose boyfriend burned a sentimental candle commemorating her deceased sister ON PURPOSE because that woman was becoming more independent, healthy, and capable. He wanted to throw her back into the “damsel in distress” mode.
